You can read my story in my post history if you want. Divorce will be final in a couple months, separated since September '24. I've made a lot of progress since my ex dropped the bomb on me. I moved out of our house a month ago, got myself a temporary rental, and am closing on a townhouse next week. I am working out almost every day, going for long walks, journaling, meditating, really trying to be a great Dad to my son (7) when I have him (50/50), trying to reframe thoughts (that has been the hardest for me).

I knew my wife had been dating someone for some time now. I found out his first name a few months ago, but that's all I knew about him. Apparently my son met him a few times in the last few weeks. The other day my ex told my son that they are dating, which I knew was going to happen, so I was sort of prepared for that.

Today I did the thing that everyone says to not do. I went searching for this guy on the internet. I figured out who he was. I'm only on facebook, so I found him on there. All his photos are public. There are pictures of my ex and him together, kissing, holding hands, making their status official, heart emojis everywhere. I gotta say, I'm completely gutted. He's pretty good looking, he's a firefighter (like c'mon, be anything else please!), seemingly has massive amounts of money, or at least his ex-wife does.

I knew she was with someone for months now, and I was getting much better with accepting it. My son being introduced to him as a romantic partner and the facebook pictures have put me back to the beginning it feels like.

I didn't think I cared, but I think I still have feelings for her, which drives me crazy. I'm angry, jealous, sad, confused, all the things. How did you guys get past this part? What did you do to move on? I don't want to date yet, because I'm obviously still working through things. I'm just so sick of the rollercoaster of emotions.
