Moved out of my marital home two months ago. Moved into a townhouse a week ago. I have my son half the time, and it's so great. I'm honestly such a better Dad now than I ever was, so there is a silver lining to all this, but man, the constant barrage of thoughts I have to battle with all day every day is so friggin exhausting.

New guy already living in my old house. The ex seems happy as a clam. We're not even officially divorced yet. Ugh.

I feel like I'm still in some kind of limbo state, like in a state of shock mode. I dream of her almost every night. I dream of my old house all the time too, god I worked so hard on that place. I'm reminded of our memories as a couple and as a family everywhere I go. The days without my son are incredibly lonely. I work from home so that doesn't help.

I have next to no friends here and my family is hours away. Seems like a common thing on this sub. We moved for them, they leave, and we're alone.

I know time heals all, and the memories will fade. I'm getting into new hobbies to occupy my time, starting ju jitsu soon (good idea? I don't know). I exercise all the time. I work on reframing thoughts, try not to romanticize the marriage and remember how bad it was a lot of the time. I just can't seem to get past it. I think it's just the loneliness that makes it so hard.

The feeling of being used and discarded is one that doesn't go away easily. Maybe I just need to start dating so I can get some confidence back.

Rant over. Happy memorial day all.
