Just needing some guidance. Little back story. Went to mediation in December and divorce will be final soon. I went into this divorce with a promise of 1k a month child support for her and 50/50 custody but she changed her mind and I ended up getting the extended standard in Texas with 1500 in child support ( she tried for 4k but since I left my 200k job 5 years ago she ended up letting that go and she also ended up with the completely paid off house and her dad bought her a 70k brand new car. Anyway to my question. I’m one month behind on child support as it’s been pretty rough lately but I’m still going to have to pay it off of course but she’s asking me to pay for stuff for the kids like uniforms, fees etc. I’m all about doing what’s moral for my kids but I’d rather spend the money on my kids the little bit I have them here. I really wanted 50/50 with her still getting the paid for house and 1k a month from me but she pulled the rug and I feel like she should use child support to pay for that stuff. Am I being realistic or is this my responsibility?
