I know it's hard. I broke up with my ex 2 weeks before his birthday and I was a fucking mess. I regret ever contacting him after the break up. Just pretend like it's just another day, because that's what it is now.

If you managed to stay friends with your ex, yeah, though that's really rare. The rule is to completely ignore exes after breakup if they in any way make your quality of life worse.

Nope. My ex didn't wish me a happy birthday so I didn't wish him one. He actually reached out to me a couple weeks after his to ask me if I knew he just had a birthday LMFAO. I said yeah BUT you didn't wish me a happy birthday.

This MF I dated for almost two years goes "when's your birthday?" I expected nothing less at that point, but god dam. He was over there sweating not getting a HBD text from me and couldn't even remember mine. I hate these dudes.

My current bf and I broke up for a very short time 2 years ago, and that time included his birthday. I battled the whole day but didn’t text him. When we got back together he said being at his birthday party and looking around and not having me in the room made him realize what was important to him. It’s a hard NO.
