Edit for update:

He's come in twice since I made this post. I essentially ignored him but I was also busy so he can interpret that however he wants. Crush cancelled. I'm willing to bet at this point he has a gf or something. Or I'm just salty because I thought there was a connection when there wasn't. Regardless, I have better things to do with my time and this was a good learning experience for me to not have crushes.

Talk me down!

He's good looking, has a good job, educated, intelligent, can carry a conversation...

But he has had opportunity to ask me out and has not. So I need to stop crushing and carry on. I'm following the rules, I thought he was interested after a very long and good conversation last Friday when I got done working (I'm a bartender). He came back into my work today and we had some decent conversation but he once again left without asking for my number or asking me out. So I need to cut my losses, right?

I'm not sure how to apply the rules here. What if he's vetting me first? If he asks me out at another time can I accept? How many casual meetings are acceptable before I can just think he's not interested? I thought he was but now I'm confused because he hasn't asked. But I'm used to dating apps, not meeting people that I see around. Thoughts?
