This is actually very sweet. It goes without saying that a HVM will care for his partner after surgery, but he’s taking the extra step. I love it.

Mammaplasty doesn’t strictly refer to a reduction. It can mean reshaping of the beasts and include implants.

Well the title of the post says reduction mammoplasty so I just assumed that mean a reduction, and I’ve heard stories of dudes getting hella upset at women getting those, hence my comment.

Ah i missed that. You’re right. 😊

This is so nice! I love it when this sub posts HVM stuff because it’s so easy to get duped into thinking that the idiots posting about their LVM problems are all that exist.

Anyone else started getting angry while reading "My partner got a mammoplasty and I...", then was like - oh.... ?

Lol....but the title says HMV behaviour
[–]Coldpinkhearts321FDS Newbie10 points11 points12 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Tbh I read the title last sometimes so I was confuddled too lol, pleasantly surprised though

My ex of 3 years peaced out and let me dad take care of me after surgery, even though we lived together and my dad is in his 80s lmao. I just went back home for 2 weeks and he visited me a couple times. Didn't take any time off work even though he was fucking salaried.

Idk, would a woman cooking a meal for her husband after his surgery be applauded and seen as special? Kind of the bare minimum of basic human decency here.
[–]rinabeanFDS Disciple48 points49 points50 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, the comments he made are pretty shocking too. He's got the nerve to diss his mother's cooking, but all he can make is chicken soup, and apparently he's already made that so many times she's sick of it. Why didn't he look for recipes before her surgery? Why is he looking in a relationship advice forum not a cooking forum? Cooking, to him, is a girlfriend thing, clearly. And why do we have to know that it's a breast reduction at all? Extra sympathy - not only is this poor man being forced to cook because his girlfriend is temporarily out of order, it's not even to get bigger boobs! :(
Now I know why so many women on here say they'll never ever cook for a man.

My bad. I didn't go to the comments. I kind figured it too good to be true.
[–]rinabeanFDS Disciple11 points12 points13 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It's not, but that's what reddit's like. (And not reading comments is probably a good idea, anyway!)
There are HVM out there who just cook because they should. I'm married to one. I guess part of the problem is, women dealing with LVM and LVM alike will post a lot about what's going on and the problems they're having, but a woman happy with a HVM doesn't really need to talk about him. And he's unlikely to mention her unless it's very relevant - certainly not for sympathy like this bloke - so you'd not easily spot him in the wild either.

Another lesson to. Extra special LVM aka sociopaths will make grand gestures and statements such as the one I posted gaining the AWwws and ohhhs from everyone. But that's where it ends. My father is like this and I have yet to meet someone worse.
My post highlights a small example but only a piece of what makes a man HVM. I would say dont fall for one gesture even though it's easy after being neglected abused etc for so long. Remember the breadcrumbs.

Going on reddit asking for recipes and help = HMV to me. Not the cooking.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Does it? I mean "healthy and delicious meals" that's a pretty quick google search to get more recipes than you could make in a lifetime. Plus he says nothing about what foods she actually likes in the post. Its seems more like attention seeking/virtue signalling or maybe just karma farming to me. Which doesn't scream HVM.

Ladies I posted the comment to take at face value. Of course a lot of us have been burnt enough to look further and may not be able to take things at face value. But was it really necessary to rain on the parade? I hope this sub doesn't end up being just negative man bashing....otherwise we are no better.
