Don't just jump on this because it confirms one of your biases! Seriously, just look at the title. "Should Feminists Stop Talking About..." That's an immediate red flag right there.
And, predictably, this is not a case of people talking sense, it's a case of Gender Feminist vs. RadFem infighting. Look up the author, she's a Gender Studies and Critical Race person. Those people have a weird alliance with Muslim traditionalists and slam anything critical of Islamic cultures by calling it "Islamophobia", even if they have to throw Muslim women under the bus.
Also: know your ideologies, the demarcation lines between them, and their respective rhetoric and code words, or you might end up unwittingly spreading the talking points of someone who is not at all sympathetic to your cause.

This is based only on the abstract.

But it looks super relevant to what's happening in the UK right now.

It also has parallels with racism against black people in the US. Something that the ACLU has low key mentioned as a problem in the past.

Note that this does not appear to be an honest mistake, or something that's happening as a side-effect of their "activism" (for example by actual racists). The abstract specifically claims that their methods are obviously ineffective and are instead geared to play into anti-Muslim sentiment, not to help women.

The irony is amazing.

You have to be either a fanatic or have IQ in the single digits to say something like this and then go on using the very same narrative to raise sentiment not against Muslims but against 50% of the population.

These people couldn't pour water out of a boot if the instructions were at the bottom.
