That depends, my friend. If you look more than 50 years back then you will see that the average man used to die in wars, slave away on fields and coal mines. There was no technology, winters were cold and dark (at least in more nordic countries). That were just the circumstances.

I fully agree on all the rest, though. Although many circumstances seem much better due to the technological progress, in total, the west is rapidly declining. Especially morally and intellectually. My popcorn is ready, too.

No, it's not.

In many ways it may have reached it's "peak" -- and yes there are definitely aspects of it that signal a future (impending, possibly inevitable) "collapse" or "implosion"; possibly even with some major chaos, death & destruction along the way down from the peak.

And at present there are many dangers & risky behaviors... but that is nothing unique or new: there always have been, and always will be such -- the kind/type may change, but "dangers & risks" are omnipresent -- things.

The wise man acts now as he would ever act... he avoids the dangers and minimizes his risks -- while enjoying whatever non-dangerous and non-or-less-risky benefits exist in a given era & locale.

To live at or near (a bit before and/or slightly after) the "peak" of a civilization is not a BAD thing. In fact to enjoy it is in a sense probably THE most respectful way to express gratitude for all those who worked to create it.

Consider it akin to some planned feast or party: should one bemoan the point at which all the preparation, the cooking & cleaning have been completed and the table laid out... simply because the feast, once begun will soon be over? Would it be respectful or show gratitude to the cook to say "Wow, you know it looks & smells delicious, but... I'm not gonna ENJOY eating any of it, because I know it's gonna end soon... it's all downhill from here. In fact, I think I'm gonna bug outta here, maybe see if there's some crackers and rotten meat over in some shithole restaurant the next town over, see ya!"

Now, I just wish that it gets worse and worse.

To be fair, in the past it was not exactly better (mabye from the 1960-200), but before that all the wars, and other shit going on wasnt much better then it is now. However it is true that family bonds where stronger, but that was for the simple reason that we tended not to drift to far from our homes. Also family bonds where more important since nearbyness was more important then actual connection on a mental level so to speak.

That being said, I dont know if western civilization will fall, I'm sort of hopefull it takes a nose dive and then the strong (who are forced to be strong by said nose dive) will rise up and put things back to order. Ofcourse this leads to good times, weak people, bad times ect. If you mean this by the fall of western civilization then I agree with what you are saying. But an utter fall into anarchy for me seems a bit to extreme. However I do agree that family bonds and relationship become more complicated and harder then ever.

No tears shed here. People often talk about "saving western civilisation" but that's not exactly accurate. In terms of what is actually occurring in physical reality (not some idealised conceptual world), a civilisation is it's people, and a people are the civilisation. You cannot separate one from the other any more than you can separate my mind from my brain. A "civilisation" is simply the sum of it's people, and looking around me today all I can say is....fuck these people.

They made their bed, now they can lie in it. It's not our place to defend these people from themselves. Anyways, a more serious response.

Someone linked a book not very long ago called "The Fall of Western Man". Basically it's 300 pages of TradCuckNPC.pdf, saved you the time. Predictably it rages about da joos without actually calling them out and barely even acknowledges thots (though in its credit it does at least acknowledge the White Suicide of abortion pursued by white females).

Mostly though it just spergs about the importance of family because it was necessary in the past. That's true, it was necessary in the past. When being a "homemaker" is a full time job and hunting and gathering also is, there just are not enough hours in the day for one person doing both.

But all the homemaking stuff was replaced by devices and later robots starting in the TradCuck era of the 1950s. Nowadays you're looking at something more like 2 light run overs of your home a month and a bag of trash a week + waiting out timers on cooking and that's about the full extent of "women's work". Not worth paying the exorbitant subsidization cost even if unicorns were real. If your arms are broken a part time hire for 9 an hour is still much cheaper.
