I find it hilarious when white women in the U.S. call other people entitled.
Of course she walked out of the date, otherwise she would have had to pay for something. Just an excuse to ghost on the bill.
[–]AllureFX115 points116 points117 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
funny considering white women are the most entitled and privileged species on the planet, specially in the west
[–]wwstewart43 points44 points45 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Not to be critical, but it says it was a coffee shop. You usually gotta pay for the coffee before you get it.
But yeah. Entitled for sure.
[–]Sir_manalot41 points42 points43 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
West in a nutshell.
The most privileged complain about other people being privileged.
The most entitled complain about other people being entitled.
The richest talk about how awful it is to be poor.
And the least oppressed talk the most about how awful being oppressed is.
And the ones who caused this mess are the first to call out for other people to take responsibility.
It is all a bunch of bullshit.

It only looked okay on the surface, this stuff started in the 60s (or earlier) really.
Look at Colttaine video on birth control and abortion to get an idea (shows a bunch of fun correlations).
Think of it like a crack in a dam. At first, it is easy to cover up (the band aid fixes politicians rely on). But with each season, the crack gets bigger.
Some intelligent individuals begin saying we should fix the crack, but the higher ups refuse to listen because they are smarter and more qualified then those that are smarter and more qualifies then them (alphas, egos and frame control makes this so).
So the crack gets bigger and we need to start using bigger and more obvious patches to cover up, but nobody still cares as it isn't impacting them.
But five years later, the crack begins to leak. The more wise individuals start getting louder and louder, saying we should fix the crack...but those in charge double down and just use more expensive and obtrusive patches.
Eventually, patches cannot hold it back for long and the men in charge finally proclaim that they should fix the crack. Everyone rejoices and throws countless money, women and love at these men.
They then fire all the people who warned them to fix the crack in the first place, take all the credit and delay the process of fixing the crack until right before the dam is about to break.
Then they try to fix it, but the dam breaks before they can finish.
Historians then talk about how awful and selfish those intelligent men were for warning and not fixing the crack despite the leaders refusing to listen to them
And worship the leaders for being amazing for ignoring all of the issues.

Most of the reason people are more aware of it, the constant build up of echo chambers and the constant sniping from side to side, has to do with the proliferation of Iphones and social media.
Look at the number of people on social media before the Iphone (2007) facebook (open to the public in 2006) and twitter (2006) It took a few years for these to get really popular, but once they did, and everyone was texting/facebooking/tweeting then the awareness of all of these fringe groups grew radically - drawing people to the extremes of both sides and creating the environment of toxic discourse that we have today.
The internet was always shit and full of stuff like this...it just took ease of access plus a few really popular social media outlets to get everyone in on the game.
[–]StrongAffordance2 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
Social media acting like an echo chamber, the proliferation of the smartphone, online dating to enable hypergamy, and identity politics used by the left in the 2008 and 2012 elections were the perfect shitstorm for massive social rifts to form and widen.
[–]Londonnj0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Perfectly summed up. It's all just a lack of empathy and perspective. Everyone assumes they have it bad and are excused to complain but they actually have to deal with a bad situation. It's my belief that humans can't feel empathy to the point we pretend to; while we may think we can we can never truly understand the severity and negatives of situation without having experienced it.
[–]AntiAbleism14 points15 points16 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
White women have the most privileges and it’s not even close.
[–]NoThirst1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
...they could give a shit about truly oppressed women and girls. When was the last time you saw a blue haired "REEEEE" over female genital mutilation, or girls forced into marriage at 10 years old? Hard to blame those on white male privilege.

the woman being such a raging narcissist that she can't bear the company of anyone who doesn't rejoice over every piece of propaganda calling them an asshole and her a victim is not the part that seems unlikely.
the tinder date
where did this woman get this detail? was one of them delivering clunky expositional dialog to the other as they walked in? "why don't you find us a table while I get us some coffees, my date whom I met on tinder?" did they buy matching, "we met on tinder and are on our first date" t-shirts for the occasion? were they sitting in the "tinder dates only" section of the coffee shop?
no. the author of the post invented this detail so that the woman would not be ending a marriage or serious relationship over so little a thing. she is writing for an audience, and has to include whatever details are necessary for them to interpret the story the way she intended it to be interpreted. this story 100% didn't happen.

The last person I was with told me she pulled this on a dude for him saying the wage gap wasn't real. Then they wonder why they don't get pulled up to gf status.
They are targeted by feminist marketing and it leads to them missing out on what they want.

SoooOOooo.. this is a new way of weeding out the crazy feminists.. Noted. First topic of conversation. "Tell me what you think of the Gillette ad... Oh, I see. Well, it was nice to meet you. Gotta go."

[–]Londonnj2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is actually a good thing for those who do date. It allows them to instantly find out whether the woman has any respect of appreciation for men or not. Otherwise she agrees with the implication that all men are potentially bad and dangerous like the ad tries to portray. It's funny how women act like there's no implication on the ad yet, even speaking for making a female equal and women start freaking not. Funny how that works.

It's not women's responsibility to explain patriarchy to patriarchs.
This is so typical. All they can do is complain. They never offer any solutions. It's men's problems and men ought to solve it. God forbid any woman should even raise so much as a finger to point to a possible solution for men problems that are to be solved by men.

Lmfao, women are such retarded children. This dumb cunt didn’t win anything but is going to pretend like she made some grand stand for a greater good.
We would really hunt them for sport if they didn’t have vaginas. I think I will actually when society collapses.
[–]FalloutFan-20 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She left not because he disagreed with her but because he said it in an undecisive and wimpy tone. If Chad had said he won't buy Gilette now she'd suck his cock in the coffee-shop bathroom
[–]Throning0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
At this point, it's not the ad that was the issue.
It wasn't the "toxic masculinity" showcase. Or the "be better men" lecture. It's not even about a shitty marketing strategy backfiring.
What it's about now: at least some of them were attempting to doxx this cunt's date over a commercial.
Protect yourselves out there, men.

When I'm on a date, my goal is to polarize my date as quickly as possible. I want to know if she likes me being exactly who I am, or not. I'm not interested in anyone who's less than a "Fuck Yeah". I'm comfortable with who I am, I'm not seeking anyone's validation, you're looking to join in on my life.
[–]3rd_viewpoint0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
