Statistically being raised by a single mother is the biggest disadvantage a child can have.

People refuse to acknowledge or attempt to understand statistics.

They will often name successful people from single mother households as if that negates all recorded statistics. Often the people named are children of widows, who aren't counted as single mothers. More comically they will name themselves, completely oblivious to how below average they are.

I was raised by a single mother for part of my childhood, it was a traumatic experience. Thankfully my entire childhood was not spent in that environment.

Most single mothers are single mothers because they make poor decisions. Most of them carry on making poor decisions after the child is born.

Single mothers are a blight on society and should be treated as such.

There is actually a study which shows exactly this. Just watched a video about it. Children who are with their single fathers are way better off than children who are with their single mothers. A family of a father and a mother is still the best tho.

My brother's sister in law got dumped by the dude. Ran off to another country to avoid paying child support and shit. Of course, her family keeps making negative comments about the dude and all. But I do not believe it until I knew the guy myself or hear his side of the story. Needless to say, the kid being raised by the single mother is retarded and annoying.

My mum was a single mother not by choice. My father passed away and she never remarried. She has been the single greatest role model and has made me who I am today. I am a massive fan of Men going their own way and my mum supports my decision to remain single and thinks that I am making the smarter choice than most others. She even says its the smartest financial way of life.

I don't agree that all single mothers are the worst mothers but I will accept that my generation (Gen Y) probably are making some serious poor choices and becoming single mothers to deadbeats.
