Eh it's not like the movies I don't think. For the result accessible diy dna tests you need to actually swab the cheek to get a reliable result. Been actually thinking to double check my own kids but to get the kit, get cheek seabs and all that pretty hard to do discretely until I've moved out. Those other methods usually aren't readily available for people without court orders or reasons to get governemnt labs involved I don't think. This is why you do not marry, and you do not sign any birth certificates without a paternity test. PERIOD.
If you are married when the child is born, you're automatically on the hook for child support. It doesn't matter if you were fighting for our country overseas for a year before the birth, or you prove the child isn't yours. You still have to pay.
In order to enter the delivery room with her, they will ask you to sign some forms. Specifically, the birth certificate. If you sign that, you are also liable for child support regardless of paternity. So never sign the papers, and never get married.
