I got into MGTOW about five or six years ago, and totally gave up on women. Just hung out with an old bandmate and kept to myself. I had dated a ton in my 20's and the women always monkeybranched.

I stayed on the dating sites and ended up hitting it off with a 29 year old chemist. I was 40 at the time. What can I say? I initially wanted to just be friends after the second date, but she kept pushing and we ended up dating.

Long story short: it was a disaster. I dunno if it's aging, or what, but I just never pair bonded with this woman. Maybe all my pair bonding mechanisms got shot out in youth, like the Velcro theory. We ended up sitting in my backyard most of the time, just chatting. It just felt like a close female friend. The attraction wasn't there for me for whatever reason, and hasn't been with any of the other women I have met on POF since 35. That raw, animal thing is gone for me. It eased into a comfortable friendship/relationship with a lot of sitting down by the beach and talking, but it was a total bore. And a total chore.

Long story short, it ended in disaster. Very hostile break up with her yelling at me over the phone. She was too into career and pets to even have that much time for me. It's not like it was in my 20's, when you would really pair bond with a woman. It felt like some bad business deal. Lasted almost two years? Seems to be as long as I can make it.

Anyways, I don't regret doing it (I had been single for years), but yeah...it's a waste of time out there. Yet another shitty relationship that fell apart in the end. I can't imagine going through this again.
