...and with comments like five that've been posted as I type this, it's not hard to understand WHY you feel unwelcome. Please try to remember that most of the guys here have been burned pretty hard by the way society treats men, and some level of having a chip on their shoulder in understandable. Not [I]justified[/I], mind you, but understandable.

And if you want to help, well, as I said in another post here recently: "Politics are hard to affect; you can contact your politicians, but not much is likely to happen. Organizing efforts to mass contact them may help, but you're not likely to find much support. Running for office yourself may likewise not get you much.

It's easier, more reliable, and ultimately will improve the chances of higher level stuff to work on a more personal level- encourage support of, and positive attitudes toward, men, boys, and masculinity. Call out bigotry when you see it (in an assertive rather than aggressive way), and challenge ideas and speech calling for or enacting it.

Build up sympathy and respect on the ground level, and making changes further up will get much easier."

The aspects of our societies that aren't straight-up results of the way we evolved grew out of small, localized changes. Encouraging empathy and understanding isn't flashy or glorious, but it's probably the most important way to improve things- and not just for men and boys, but for everybody.

Then be equal. It's a game of put money where mouth is. You hit a guy don't call the police when he hits you back. At 18 go sign up for selective service (if in us) don't give in to feminist rhetoric, advo ate that female criminals get the same penalties as men and vote for people who want the same when you are of age. Do the same for divorce custody and child support. You are welcome here as a subreddit if you are not a wolf in sheep's clothing, but as a supporter of men, just like other men you won't be welcome in society and will be constantly criticized just like we are. That you will have to get used to, but if you want equality true egalitarianism step up, stand up, and fight for it.

It's very nice of you to be interested in things like these at this age. If you're innocent you don't have to hate yourself at all. Improve yourself all the time so when you grow up you'll be a dream girl. I recommend Erich Fromm. You can start with "the art of loving". It's a psychological book.

I took a peek in your profile and maybe you have just children hope Vs adults life experience and you only read/notice those who have really bad ones, if it's true then I get your hopelessness, but world would be much better if life would be as simple as children hopes.

You said that you want everyone to be equal, but you prove you don't really want it, that's why you mention that you are Asian, like it have any real point in this discussion, but you want to feel different that's why you mention this.

First of all, I don't mean this in a demeaning way, but you're 15 years old. It's good to be aware of issues that different groups face, but don't feel obligated to bury yourself in it. Trust me, once you're on your own working a job, and get home exhausted at the end of the day with just a few hours before bed, you'll have plentyyyyy of time to browse reddit.

It is very sweet that you want to help, though, I want to acknowledge that.

Why don't you feel welcome? Do you feel like this sub doesn't align with your ideals (cough cough shoutout to /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates), or is it just people being bitter and angry? Because while of course sexism is never okay, I think you'll find some of that here from men who have been hurt by women, then had their abusers rewarded by the system. It's messed up and traumatizing, but that doesn't mean you did anything wrong, you just happened to step into the line of fire.

I get it, I want everyone to be equal too. There was a post on the front page earlier today about a racist waitress, and people were like "this doesn't happen!!!" It's crazy how simple equality seems, but how far we still have to go.

You are welcome on the sub. Just remember that we allow open discussion and that means people will disagree with you, sometimes in a unpleasant manner. You are also allow to be just as forthright with your opinions as well.

If this kind of environment is affecting your mental health, then take a break from it. The best thing to do to help other people is to be as mentally healthy as you can so you have the resources and resilience to help others.
