A lot (not all) women see femininity as a special indulgence just for them, so they see men who enjoy feminine indulgences as a potential threat.

On some level they know the gender system gives them many benefits, often subsidized by men. So they want to keep the gravy train going, shame men for breaking the rules, and demand the "having their cake and eating it too" version of equality that runs the world today.

If it's internalized misogyny, why don't they treat feminine women that way? Why don't they treat more 'feminine' women worse than more 'masculine' women? 🙄 I think that's just a cop-out invented by feminists to hand-wave it away so they're relieved from the burden of being self-critical, and interrogating toxic femininity the way they interrogate toxic masculinity. "Oh yeah, it's a thing, but we're totally not accountable for it - it's the patriarchy again! So it's actually men's fault, again. We don't have to do anything!"

It's not internalized misogyny. It's externalized sexism. They're sexists, and they're proud of it. They don't hate femininity or vulnerability in the abstract - they hate the idea of men, specifically, being vulnerable. That is not and will never be "misogyny".

One of the more honest, self-reflective radical feminists I've seen posted once on bropill admitting that, yeah, in practice she is repulsed by sensitive men and doesn't want us near her, and she knows it is a complete contradiction of everything she claims to believe in, but those are her feelings and they ain't going to change. So she's just going to keep saying one thing and doing the opposite. She likes that we exist in theory and wants us out there somewhere, just not anywhere near her, because 'ick'. 🤣

Men are under constant social pressure to interrogate how we see gender, how we behave, what we're attracted to, what we want - and it isn't seen as invasive. Women aren't. Women are under pressure not to be self-critical. Any criticism of women is treated as invasive - how dare you question her preferences, how dare you try to change her behavior, how dare you judge what she wants. They're rewarded for evading any self-critique, and actually socially punished and ostracized when they question or criticize women's behaviors.

We're incentivized to be critical of masculinity and the expectations it generates, but women are incentivized to be dogmatically rigid about femininity. So many more men now have developed a non-dogmatic attitude towards gender than women, who have become more rigid and extreme.

That leads to friction. Most men now say they want a 50/50 financial split in relationships, while most women want to be "provided for". More men are comfortable with earning less than their girlfriends than women. More men would love to receive flowers than women who would love to give them. More men would be comfortable being stay-at-home-dads. More men want to be proposed to than women who would ever propose to a man. More men go into female-dominated sectors than women into male-dominated ones. You cannot overstate the significance of that shift. All of that used to be reversed. Liberal women are now paradoxically more value-aligned with conservative men.

The assumptions that feminism made back in the 20th century when making this claim that "it all boils down to misogyny" have now flipped, and the ideology just cannot adapt to the changing times. It has turned into another "Marxism". It turned the assumptions of its era into a dogma that has become stale and incapable of adapting to change.

But since you can't criticize them, all of that is just merrily swept under the rug. "Don't look at me. Patriarchy did it, patriarchy, patriarchy." 🙄

When it’s a man who “acts like a girl” or speaks like one, it’s dehumanizing, men are degraded and Called every single name under the sun.

This is why I just went my own way. Ain't nobody got time for that BS. I will live my life as I see fit, feminine or masculine.

If a man murders a pregnant woman he ll be charged with destruction of the unborn child...and rightly so...but every day women abort unborn children in one circumstance or another and..err..that seems to be ok.

Feminists will call it patriarchy and toxic masculinity or internalized misogyny because it is allagedly steaming from considering "feminine" as "worse" or "inferior".

Funny how they have to use various different reasoning when such shaming of non-masculine men it is done by other men (universal oppressors. Toxic masculinity) vs women (universal victims, internalized misogyny).

Also funny how such logic again does not apply when we talk society trying to shame women for not being feminine enough. Then again everyone does it because society considers women "not worthy" of displaying masculine traits.

Partially, yes. A great many people, men and women alike, view "femininity" as exclusively being the traits that are a behavioral form of conspicuous consumption; a sign of a society SO ludicrously wealthy that half the population can be essentially useless.

Obviously, that's not how it works- but the signs of it are very much there. And it repulses women just as much as it, frankly, ought to repulse men. Notice how rarely rejection of traditionally feminine virtues corresponds with taking up masculine ones- they don't want to have to do the heavy moral lifting either, but heaven help you if you say they don't have the right to reap the benefits of those who do.

It's misogyny AND misandry, wrapped up in a neat little package. Very efficient.

Despite what they say about predatory men, women want a masculine man that can give them everything they want, which is why they go for Chad and the bad boys as they have masculine power and authority and the trappings that come with that, plus attractiveness. The only fly in that ointment is that they won't give them everything they want: why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? But it doesn't stop women yearning for and attempting to get that and then being disappointed with what she has to settle for instead.

Feminine men can't give women what they want, so they also become the scapegoat for all the disappointment and stronger emotions women feel when they can't get what they feel entitled to.

Masculine women are not the objective, so women don't really care, however in-group bias seeks to elevate all women, so they will champion that woman's choice.

Women refuse to self-analyse, because that might upset their rationalisation of their behaviour.

In comparison, men aren't complicated, they want sex, to be useful and appreciated for it, but usually only get 1.1 out of the 3.

Because women dont know what they want but will always behave like their peers do. U just need 1 influencer to set ridiculous norms which they then follow and god forbid u try to add fairness or logic to it

I don't agree with this premise. If a man genetically has top 5% hair, he can grow it out and women will love it. I think it is more a function that women are ready to throw any man who isn't top tier in the garbage.
