I have never really understood the whole push for female game devs. By far the largest demographic for games is guys so it makes sense that the people creating games are largely men. Should we start pushing for male makeup designers or Cosmo writers?

If the IGDA keeps pushing this crap they will start losing support. They don't seem to realize in the hierarchy the following in order are not trumped by other issues.

National Security.
Public order.
Commerce.

The IGDA Asia has none of this crap, in SF its smell is nauseating.

In the meantime Male /Female graduation rates of course are of little concern.

I don't have the necessary skillsets to be a game dev. But let's call them skills A, B, and C. Let's say that to get work as a reasonably paid dev, one must have minimum levels of competency in those skills of X, Y, and Z where A=X, B=Y, and C=Z. If A=X, B=Y, and C=Z, then you will get hired.

There is not a single woman in this world with those skillset requirements who won't get hired. Not one. Not a single fucking one. Not one. If a woman can't get work as a dev, it is because she doesn't have the fucking skills.

The problem that you will find occurring more often than anyone can admit, is that of women getting shot up the ranks more rapidly than they can adjust their skillset and ending up reaching their level of incompetence.

Where they will then cry about being discriminated against if their boss has the balls to fire her instead of promoting her out of the department and his problemset.

This retard has it backwards, in the usual feminist fashion. Games and coding appeal to men. That's why they are in the industry.
