So my wife and I got a visit last night from a close friend (female) who is going thru a divorce.

She came over last night to complain to my wife about her soon to be ex husband and what a asshole he was because he was fighting her for full custody of the kids OR at least 50/50.

The thing is, pre-separation he was the parent that spent most of the time with the kids because he has two jobs, one he did for about 20 hours a week and the other was a consulting business that he does mostly online. So that means he was only away from the home for 20 hours a week.

Well pre-separation if you listened to her he was the best thing since sliced bread, looked after the kids, did the laundry , did the cleaning , cooked most of the meals etc etc AND made more money than her. She would brag about him all the time.

Well, it turns out he wasn't 'enough' for her as she had an affair with her boss at work.

Now post-separation he is basically Hitler combined with the Devil. He is lazy (because he only works 20 hours outside the home), Doesn't make enough money (he does make more than her) and just basically a lout and that is why she screwed around on him.

My wife sat there most of the night just nodding her head in agreement (as women are wont to do).

I came into the room just as she was going on about the money and I chimed in with "He makes more money than you, basically took full care of the kids after you went back to work, What the fuck do you want from the guy and lady YOU fucked someone else".

Has anyone else every experienced this in their personal lives with the 180 degree change AFTER separation?
