Two things:

The obvious double standard of male feminist when someone else is accused vs when they are accused. Fucking weasels.
The implications of this sentence on how these nutjobs think:

Acknowledge and believe the survivor even if their account does not fit with his sense of self.

Reality not real. Does not matter what happened. She feels raped and you need to "acknowledge and believe" regardless of what happened.

What Should Michael Kimmel do? Model what he would like others accused of sexual harassment to say by:

Acknowledge and believe the survivor even if their account does not fit with his sense of self. Remember that he has power, and the accuser likely has any. Their career is on the line as much, if not more than his.

Remember: Facts don't matter to these people. Reason does not matter to these people. Their first question is always one of power, or rather who is the Oppressor and who is the Oppressed.

Work on ensuring that in future interactions that people who work with him, particularly those with less power (in this case, graduate students and junior scholars) feel comfortable and safe.

Feelings....nothing more than feelings. This is emotional blackmail: You should live in fear that someone else might have an negative emotion. Are you comfortable? Do you feel safe? Do you have good bellyfeels? Because it's all about you. Fuck that. The only duty I have to you is to speak truthfully and reasonably. Your feelings are your own business. You are not a child and I have no obligation to you calm you down when you cry.

For others accused who are unfamiliar with how sexual harassment and gender-based violence operate, I would suggest starting there. In this case, Kimmel is an expert, but can notice the ways in which these dynamics play out in practice within his own interactions. No one is immune from gendered (or racialized, classed, ableist, etc.) ways of being in the world. We are socialized into them.

Verily, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of WYMYN. All are racist, classist, ableist, etc. and in desperate of Feminism to save their corrupted souls.

Change the culture = Die Kulturkampf. The obsession with 'culture' is a fixation on controlling not just the behavior of others, but on controlling how people think. It is this idea of influence and nudging as opposed to reason and discourse. Feminists and sociologists want to change/control culture because, not only are they incapable of reason and discourse, they view their prospective victims as being unworthy of reason and discourse. To them, you do not have the right to your own mental autonomy. They know better than you.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA, yes, how can any woman expect to survive some guy finding her attractive? that surely must be some kind of miracle.

But in a more serious sccenario, rape itself does not produce "survivors" because even rape isn't fatal. If someone is killed during a rape that's what we call a murder.... fail.

I can understand "cancer survivor" even though it's a rather attention whore-y title, but it's not wrong. But "survivor" in this context? get fucked.

Michael Kimmel is a detriment to the species and has spent his life rationalizing excuses for misandry while presenting himself as the forefront expert on mens issues.

He has no ethical framework that is detectable, as is evident from his work and his sophistry and excuses for hatred.

His lack of conscious was evident to anyone who cared to get to know him or his words, and how he presented himself as working on mens issues while solely working to get them to change their behavior and mindsets to benefit women, and the only reason I can think of that a feminist would be in a position to be victimized by him is they were trying to utilize this ethical vacuum for their own selfish needs as they often do and present him as an expert on mens issues and evidence feminism "cares", and it backfired on them.

That's unfortunate. I hope the experience can shock them into maybe learning how to feel empathy for the others this man has victimized through his wholly negative influence on this planet, so at least some good can come of this. But I sincerely doubt it will.
