There's nothing wrong at all with feminine features. The problem lies within the phrase "toxic masculinity." Being strong willed, working hard, and concealing emotions to "get shit done" is seen as "toxic" behavior in a man, but as soon as a woman displays these traits she's strong, independent, etc.

The feminist movement seeks to turn men into the stereotypical role of the "good woman": quiet, obedient, docile, and effeminate.

Sorry to hear you don't get positive responses to things. I think it's because a lot of people think all gay people are like the people you see in those pride parades. Side note, what do you think of "gay pride?" Personally I'm not a fan as the kinds of things you see celebrated regarding gay pride actually reinforce negative and untrue stereotypes of gay people.

Boys being pushed towards wimpy shit they don't like and told stuff they like is wrong or toxic, being discouraged from competition and merit based achievement in favor of everyone gets a trophy bullshit, encouraged to cry like a bitch instead of learning to solve stuff themselves, encouraged to sit still and shut up all day in school, shop classes removed, recess shortened or removed, gym class pussified or removed. These are some of the things our school systems are doing to boys.

Another gay man here. I'm rather masculine and have always been that way, just for some context.

I'm not sure if I think that men are being emasculated, just that masculinity is increasingly being unfairly derided as toxic and sometimes even as a danger to society. I don't agree with that viewpoint. Being strong, dominant, aggressive, and competitive aren't necessarily bad things - granted, they can be, but these traits can also result in a lot of good.

And I think it's especially terrible when people try to eliminate these behaviours from boys at a young age, for example when teachers or guardians label simple play-fighting as a "disruptive" and "violent" behaviour and attempt to discourage them from it. Especially when research shows that play-fighting actually helps boys develop emotionally and socially, and in fact prevents chronic aggression later on in life. Not to mention all the other things boys are taught in the classroom, to stifle their natural competitive impulses and to "Sit still! Stop talking! Be a good boy!"

TL:DR: Please don't try to correct boys, they don't need it. People should quit suppressing and interfering with their development in a vain attempt to push their misguided ideals of what masculinity should be onto them.

I have been in the Men's Movement for 25 years and never understood that either. I think they are just saying that feminists do not allow men to be who we are. They try to make us into something that they want us to be. As a gay man, I think you can understand the frustration of not being allowed to be who you are. I think that there should not be any set way to be a man. When I was a boy, I wore high heeled shoes (almost 2" heel) and pants with vertical stripes. That was OK in the 70s. No one said anything. Yet today, that would raise eyebrows. So I think that there are too many restrictions now on what a man should be. P.S. Welcome to the Men's Movement. You are welcome here.

Very few people just let men be themselves. They're often trying to force them to fit one mould or another in order to "fix" them, because our society views men as broken and in need of correcting.

If men were all feminine, feminists would be whining they need to be more masculine, because the problem isn't really the men, it's the feminists and their own unaddressed issues. The particulars are just excuses.

In feminist spaces men are told they have to act precisely how feminists want them to. In traditional spaces it's more what you experienced. Both of these views on how men should act are based around what is best for women. (Gynocentrism.).

A man should either provide and protect, or be a doormat and support. Being their own person is not an option on offer. If someone else is defining your masculinity for you, that's pretty emasculating, even if they force you to be the biggest toughest guy around.

In my experience, gay men understand aesthetics and beauty, and become strong and powerful in the cultivation of their sexual energy.

Straight men are emasculated because the modern man is a weak and spindly creature who tries to "respect women" in the vain and foolish hope that she will reciprocate. Women despise weak men, and are made uncomfortable by them, as they should be.

The modern woman is nearly as bad -- with no worthy man to please, she too becomes obese and childish.

Man will stop being emasculated when he remasculates himself and begins to worship again at the shrine of Eros. When he puts in the time at the iron church. When he follows his instincts again.

I think if you want to get a feel for Men’s rights there is a movie and a book I would recommend.

The book is “ Women can’t hear what men don’t say” by Dr Warren Farrell. It’s a great book.

The Movie / Documentary is The Red Pill I think it is still on Amazon for free.

Being factitious here, but honestly I could care less about someone trying to emasculate me, but then I don't care if a guy is gay, black, or any sub-group. I've known gay men, know gay associates, have even worked out in a gay gym in Cali when I had no other option. Nicest people going.

They are different from me, but the same, and they do not have to conform to my way of being.

the narrative you describe is used to separate and create distrust among men so that we forget that when it comes to our rights, we are all just men. Denial or my rights is a denial of your rights. My pain is your pain. That makes us brothers.

Now you want to talk about the accusation of "toxic masculinity", that's entirely different and more fun to kick the ever living shit out of.

Our food is absolutely fucking loaded with shit that kills testosterone and boosts estrogen. This obliterates motivation, drive, and self-esteem, fuels depression and anxiety, makes it virtually impossible to gain muscle mass or lose fat, and leads to a shitload of mental and physical health problems.

Take a walk around and notice how many of the men have baby bellies and sagging titties, no visible muscle definition, patchy facial hair, high voices. This is all hormonal. This is what is building entire generations of basement-dwelling video game playing man-children and fueling the mental health crisis.

This also is not just my pet theory, what our food does to our physiology is well known if you care to seek out the information. Just don't wait for the media or the government to tell you about it. The people who own the food supply also own the media, the medical industry, the schools, the regulatory agencies, the entire government. This is intentional, it is a conspiracy, it is mass mind control, it is health care slavery. It is keeping us sick, dumb, complacent, and desperate. Herdable and exploitable. You don't even have to go research to see it, just stop uncritically believing everything you hear, open your eyes, and look around.

Guess what else disrupts hormones? Chlorine and fluoride, that shit that we've all been happily drinking our whole lives because the government said not to worry. Oops. Why do we all believe that putting fluoride inside of our bodies is going somehow to improve our oral health? Like I said, it's all in plain sight, you just have to decide to start seeing.

I never really know what the word means exactly. To me I guess it means literally made-not-a-man so beyond castration the only example I can think of would be when feminists basically say that gay men aren't men all the time because of identity politics. And admittedly feminists hate men so it's not like you'd really want to be included in a hated group but it's still emasculating (literally). Like when feminists are one of their shitty tirades about more or less anything and blaming men --- not you gay men -- you don't count as men. Not that gay men count as women either (from the feminist fucked up perspective I mean).

Feminism is a form of traditional conservatism and as you say here the tradcons always tried to say gay men don't count as real men too, although tradcons didn't find men were wholly evil as feminists do, but rather men had a duty to do and if they did it they redeemed their inherently evil selves. Gay men shirked their duty (to look after women) and therefore failed to be "real men" in the same way eg a profligate drunk or a homeless bum would. Feminists take it an extra step and say there's no way for men to absolve themselves of their inherent evil, but gay men just don't count as men.

Only other example I can think of maybe is FTM trans men who you'd think would be told they aren't real men and I guess it must happen.

And yes you should be able to marry and have all the civil rights everyone else has.
