kloo2yoo and I have had an interesting exchange with someone that I wanted to share. I will share it in its full, without removing anything, though I may add some things in (which will be made clear). This is not something kloo2yoo and I would do to a regular poster on r/MR, so people can still rest assured that mail sent to the moderators will not be seen publicly.

This is an exception.

There is a difference between finding something insulting and something being intentionally insulting.

Taking an action and not taking an action are two separate things. As an extreme example, not saving someone's life is not the same thing as killing someone - even though the end result is the same.

And no - the DadsNow link that Kloo2yoo posted argues for a point. That is not intentionally insulting, it is an argument based on supporting evidence. Feel free to disagree with that point, but at least it is dialogue. As for the other link - how is that insulting? He points out a sex icon from the 80s who has not aged well, with the title "When you marry for looks, remember this". So he is saying "Don't marry someone just for their looks." Isn't that a message that is fairly universal among intelligent women?

As for the Urban Dictionary post - which is pretty commonly understood as a website of the same caliber as the Conservapedia - is, by definition a backlash against the Men's Rights Movement. It isn't arguing anything at all, it isn't discussing anything, it is simply making overtly insulting statements. There is no dialogue, it is simply meant as a childish prank.

And no - this wasn't a "little experiment". It is pretty clear that this was your attempt to insult people who challenge your world view, after which you have decided to call it a "little experiment" in an attempt to goad us into reversing the decision. Your interpretation of these events are nothing more than confirmation bias - lucky you, your views are safe and secure now that you can reinterpret the events in light of your own biases!

I just thought I would share this friendly back and forth between a throw-away account created to insult r/MR. When it was noticed, suddenly it became an "experiment"... What experiment - to insult us and see if we would stand for it?

Oddly enough, kloo2yoo's post from the DadsNow site talks about similarities between Feminism and the KKK (or shows the origins in it, as k2y said), and the Urban Dictionary #1 hit for MRA seems to say the same thing about the men's rights movement.

In the end, there isn't anything wrong with the post by SRSW. But considering the diatribe from SRSW, I don't feel inclined to go out of my way to press the button to un-spam-filter the post created by someone who isn't even willing to post with a real account.

This isn't censorship - everything SRSW said is now readily available for everyone. I just thought that this format might be a bit more pleasing to everyone here.
