YES! MRA's fighting back in Kenya - UN/WHO is forcing men in circumcision. Due to resistance it is now shifting to non consensual circ of infants - In Philippines 70% of boys get PTSD (Circs are done IN PUBLIC age ~10 - see paper and 40% in one cohort were infected)

Feminsit Kindergarten teacher finds Legos are good for cognitive development in young children and so BANS boys from playing with them in order to "close the gender gap" - also OECD study shows teachers mark girls higher for identical work

Teachers mark girls higher for IDENTICAL work to boys (OECD study). Furthermore, a boy will receive 1/3 higher grade in reading tests if the techer does not know he is a boy (OECD) From kday 1 of early yers education they also grade boys lower despite them objectively getting higher test scores

This is a great counter arguement everytime someone here posts men kill etc. I am suprsised I never thought about it! The number of women who save mens lives at risk to their own lives (e,g, firefghters, moutain rescue, milatry, every day hero) is almost negligble compared to men

For every 1 woman in Wales, £3.44 is spent by the government on womens groups. For every 1 man, £0.04 is spent. Remind me again which gender lives shorter, has worse health, more likely to be a victim of crime, worse educational outcomes, homeless, incarcerated, suicide, victim of hate crime, etc?

Wasn't it a quote feminists loved to say ?

Something about being entitled so much everything feels like opression ?

[–]jaesharp 54 points55 points56 points 6 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

I believe it goes something like: "When you're used to privilege, equality feels like oppression."

Which is just the most obvious gaslighting invalidation ever.

[–]qemist 14 points15 points16 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Whenever women make an accusation about men you should try applying it to them. It's remarkable how often it fits as well or better. An example is their latest cudgel to beat men with, coercive control: controlling what you wear check, monitoring your phone check, restricting you from seeing your friends check, demanding to know where you are at all times check, making you afraid to offend them check, ...

[–]jaesharp 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

It's almost as though the application of stereotypes to any one particular situation in order to make decisions about that situation, regardless of individual fact, is a terrible idea.

[–]qemist 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Naturally occurring stereotypes can save your life, but in this case they are trying to construct one.

[–]jaesharp 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

All stereotypes are socially informed and constructed. That's why we call them stereotypes and not flat facts. They're dependent on the society in which they are created. Don't mistake stereotypes which occur in your particular corner of society as being naturally occuring and the stereotypes which exist in others as artifically created (for some purpose) - it's a misleading, and potentially dangerously, illogical way of thinking about the world. At best, stereotypes can inform the gross structure of the social system in a useful and positive way for those involved. Most American steakhouse chain restuarants having BBQ sauce at the table is a good example of one way a stereotype does that. At worst, they encode the worst of what that society thinks of certain types of people - and I don't need to provide examples of those.

The point I'm trying to make is that they should always be thoroughly examined - and compliance with them, by any person, should never be enforced.

Equality under the law? No, No more?Already women pedophiles (because they are pedophiles)take less years in prison. So when women are in position of power(teacher -pupil)it is ok.

Yeah, but she is not a real feminist according with Sunday feminists on Reddit.

The teacher-student epidemic is insane and no one is talking about it. /r/teacherswhorape

[–]Greg_W_Allan 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not an epidemic. It's always been there. There's research from forty years ago indicating women are a significant majority of teacher perpetrators.

A pedo is a pedo no matter the gender and deserves punishment

[–]laid_on_the_line 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago* (13 children) | Copy Link

God please. Don't make people who are having or wanting sex with adolescents pedophiles. It is creepy, is is illegal in many countries but it is not as sick as wanting to have sex with kindergarden and elementary school kids who don't even know what sex is. That is an utter disservice to everyone involved except the real, acting pedophiles.

Everytime i see "pedophile" wrongly used I seriously get angry because it makes real pedophiles who rape children look less dangerous or sick when you don't know the actual circumstances.

"Oh, neighbour X is a pedo"
"Really? Interessting, what did he do?"
"He statutory raped the 17 yo daughter of Y"

OR

"Oh, neighbour X is a pedo"
"Really? Interessting, what did he do?"
"He fucking raped the 7yo daughter of Y until she bled out of her anus"

The second one is a pedo, the first one is some guy who is a creep. But a legal creep in more than 50% of the western world. Make that shit up with your own morality, I don't care, but don't compare them to people who actually fuck innocent children by deception or force.

[–]empatheticapathetic 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Your subjective definitions are irrelevant when its feminists using the law to condemn men. So why should they be relevant here?

[–]laid_on_the_line -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Why subjective? That is the definition.

Pedophilia (alternatively spelt paedophilia) is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children. Although girls typically begin the process of puberty at age 10 or 11, and boys at age 11 or 12, criteria for pedophilia extend the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13.

They are never irrelevant imho, doesn't matter for either sex. Don't call people who have and like to have sex with 14+ pedos. They're ephebophil.

[–]pacmatt27 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Paedophile has two meanings now. The technical meaning and the layperspn meaning. Most people don't know what an ephebophile or a hebophile are. They know a paedophile is someone who has sex with children. While that remains the case, people will describe anyone who has sex with an underage person a paedophile. You can get mad about it and change nothing or just accept it.

[–]laid_on_the_line -2 points-1 points0 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Hej, its wrong, but just don't say anything and accept it.

Wtf? So why not do the same with unfair custody, stupid alimony or woman who don't get fair sentences. It is just like that, just accept it. Because it should be different.

[–]pacmatt27 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Lol, what? Firstly those are two totally different things. The use of what you consider an inaccurate descriptor is not the same as a miscarriage of justice.

Secondly, there are two meanings of the word. It's not incorrect, it is the alternative meaning. You understand it, I understand, everyone will understand it. Nobody's sitting here thinking "What, so she fucks pre-pubescent children? I thought he was 15?". That means the word is being used correctly because of its alternative use in common parlance.

Like I say, you can get annoyed about it or accept that the word has two meanings.

[–]laid_on_the_line -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That is only in the US. Everybody else seems to understand the difference just fine.

[–]pacmatt27 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, the second meaning exists in all English speaking countries and most people do understand the difference just fine. It just doesn't make sense to say ephebophile because a large proportion of the population doesn't know what that is. Whereas everyone knows what a paedophile is.

[–]Nicolas64pa 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The second one is a pedo, the first one is some guy who is a creep. But a legal creep in more than 50% of the western world

If you say that because of the "age of consent of 16" in most of Europe, you should know that it's only between 16 year olds, not a 16yo with someone older than 18

[–]laid_on_the_line 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nope, age of consent is not limited by age, only by relationship in almost all european countries.

[–]user_miki 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

If is under legal age it is pedophilia ,period, finito, game over.Any "nuancing" it is pedophilia apology.

You know on the moon your weight would be around 13 Kg.Or you know some gypsy communities the sell brides at 10 years old.Don't give me all exceptions you can find.Every country/state has its own age of consent. You follow the laws of your land.

[–]tenchineuro 14 points15 points16 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

A title of a recent article of hers makes a bold statement in its headline: “It’s simply not the same if a man is hit by a woman.”

What's different?

One might think that, being a Feminist, she would support the idea that men deserve equal rights too!

I think I see the problem.

There's a missing sarcasm tag.

This is a 2014 response to a 2009 Guardian article, but nothing has really changed over the years, unfortunately.

[–]Morden013 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, you can bet it is not.

There will be no consequences for her. The man will be ridiculed if he talks about it and will land in jail if he reciprocates.

What feminists understand under equality is superiority and the right to cherry-pick what they want and don't want.

This leads to being irresponsible and overprivileged, ultimately losing the grip with reality while doing the damage all around you.

[–]accidental_me 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It seems The Guardian has forsaken its most sexists columnists, no?

[–]gixxer 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Translation: laws are only supposed to benefit women!

[–]laid_on_the_line 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

while teenage boys are usually sexually driven, teenage girls tend to be validation-driven.

What?

[–]JustJamie- 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I wonder what she would call say about a female teacher having sex with a female student.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't think it's a coincidence these feminists always have an... Unpleasant look, to them. They always seem untrustworthy.

[–]Maito_Guy 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It amazes me that idiots like her are totally oblivious to the fact that teenage girls also have crushes on their male teachers. People like her are highly likely to be abusers and predators themselves.

[–]LionVenom10 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

“The internet is awash with sites dealing with ‘older woman teacher-pupil’ fantasies. And there lies the rub – should the law be treating male and female pupil victims equally when male and female teenagers are so different?”

That’s no different than an incel claiming women fantasise about rape.

[–]TherealAsderei 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She is soo DUMB!

[–]matrixislife 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

There's no link to the article this is responding to, and I can't see it on the guardian site. Anyone know where it came from?

edit: nevermind, apparently the Guardian article is from 2009. If we're going to have outrage articles can we at least keep them sort of up-to-date?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And there is a reason I avoid the Guardian and would never give them money. Or the BBC. Or NPR.

[–]RoastedReviews 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How many times I gotta say it?

Women want sovereignty not equality.

Laws that apply to men dont apply to women.

Womem never wanted to be equal to men. They wanted to be equal to toddlers. Thats why they throw out accountability for themselves.

Feminists represent women. Women dont speak out against feminists. Therefore women must want the same thing they want.

Sovereignty not equality.

Lets call it what it is
