I'm not sure you realize it, but just saying "equal rights" is very broad and unspecific, so you're not exactly asking about a "particular issue".

Here's some food for thought: men and women are not the same. Biologically, and therefore psychologically too, women and men differ substantially in certain areas. But we also share almost all of our genetic makeup and physiology, so we are very often similar. In a society, some things cannot be made equal among unequal populations, and the MRM recognizes that. That's why women may earn less money, because they work less and in different fields.

The MRM is about equality of opportunity, whenever it is not biologically impossible, and recognizes that outcomes will inevitably be unequal, because we're not all the same.

Being egalitarian I'm all for equal rights and equal responsibilities. The law should have no bias or preference towards or against any individuals, irrespective of their physical characteristics.

Also, there is not one "men's rights" position on anything.

My general position is that I support individual rights for all and equal opportunity for all.

Generally, Feminism pursues laws that specifically grant women privilege over men.

i may be misinterpreting your comments, but they seem to suggest you're coming from a position where the MRM is viewed as a male supremacy movement more than anything. is that correct? if so, allow me to assure you the MRM is not that. certainly, some extremists try to use the MRM in general to push their own hateful and discriminatory views of male supremacy, just as radical feminists try to use feminism to push their views of female supremacy, but the MRM at large rejects such beliefs.

the MRM beleives both sexes should have equal rights and that neither gender should have privileges that extend beyond those of the other, certainly not at the expense of the other.

hmmmmm smelling concern troll here i will be honest , but for me and many MRA the position is simple , all we want is gender taken out of the equation, equality of opportunity and not equality of outcome and stopping the persecution of our boys as well as the acknowledgement that men can be victims, nothing more and nothing less.

Equality of opportunity is fine, absolute equality in all areas is not even possible due to biological, psychological, and socio-economic differences.

We are physically different, do not have the same mental make up, and make difference choices in society as a result.

Many man's rights advocates unfortunately believe that there can be a system of equal rights between men and women. This is, unfortunately, false.

Without equal responsibilities, implementing equal rights is a system of moral hazard and is harmful to the society as women "run roughshod" over men because women have the rights and men have the responsibilities (i.e. the bullshit you see today). So the problem of equal responsibilities has to be fixed before we even have a case for implementing equal rights.

Can we fix equal responsibility? Unfortunately no. Until women are see as disposable as men are seen, women will never be held to a equal level of responsibility for their actions (agency) comparative to men. Why are women given this lack of disposability? There's a number of cultural reasons, but biological ones as well. The most notable biological differences have to do with women being the limiting factor of reproduction and men's sex drives being vastly different from women's sex drives (again, because of reproductive possibilities).

So, TL;DR: there is no case for equal rights until technology has replaced the advantages biology has granted women over men. Just as technology advanced remove the advantage of men's larger bodies and greater strength, it must also advance (via sex robots and artificial wombs, most likely) to replace women's advantages.

Only once that point has been reached can we begin to make a case for equal rights. Until then, we are simply selling a system of female superiority (whither we know it or not).

This may come across as a bit rude, but do you know anything about what Men's Rights is?

The Men's Rights Movement exists because there isn't equality of rights between men and women. That is the entire reason for it's existence and of course Men's Rights Activists believe that men and women should have equal rights?

Equal rights means compassion for those suffering. The homeless, addicted, suicidal, mentally vulnerable etc
