I'll update my comment after I watch the video. Before I do, I just wanted to say that I used to love The Take but got turned off as their content became more overtly feminist and politically divisive. I don't believe I'm part of their intended female audience (or a "girl's girl," as they described in a past video), and I'm okay with that.

Updated with my thoughts on the video:

I do think there are a lot of male incels who could get a date, a relationship, and/or a marriage+family one day if they worked on themselves. To blame women *only* is ridiculous. That being said, I do think that there are women with stupidly high standards who turn away men for bad reasons, and this contributes to the problem. According to The Take, this makes me a misogynist. Lol.
Footbinding is an "oppressive beauty standard." Dressing well, learning to do makeup, grooming your body, maintaining a reasonably fit body, styling your hair nicely....these are not oppressive beauty standards. As women, we have a lot of control over our appearances. Femcels blaming "lookism" for their failure to attract a man is just stupid. A lot of the girls in the TikToks included in the video would have much better luck if they took better care of themselves. Source: I once was one of those girls until I got in shape and started taking much better care of myself. I'm a lot happier now, and "more inclusive beauty standards" would have hurt me.
It appears most of the examples included in the video are from movies/shows or from TikTok. There's probably a sample bias there, as I think most well-off single women aren't posting on TikTok about their life as a femcel.
Side note: Of course they found a way to rip on Andrew Tate in a video that isn't about him. I'm not an Andrew Tate fan, but this channel spends more time thinking about him than I do.
Second side note: Around 5:56, they mention with a sarcastic and bitter tone how the ugly femcel's arc in movies is often about beautifying herself and winning a guy at the end. I don't understand why this is a bad thing, as the female characters in these movies are almost always better for those changes.
Kudos to The Take for pointing out that many femcels have a terrible view of men. I'm sure this is a big part of why femcels exist, as men don't want to be around women who are disrespectful, hate them, and think they're useless. However, they kind of backtrack on this by saying that the femcels are really starting hard conversations about female sexuality and beauty standards.
Overall, this video by The Take seems to have a lot to say about what femcels contribute to the culture but not about what they could do if they wanted to fix it...other than rejecting heterosexual relationships and talking openly about their concerns and insecurities.

I think most femcels have unattractive appearances, a nasty view of men that leads them to either turn off or dismiss perfectly good guys, and/or some sort of personal/behavioral/mental issues that need to be addressed with therapy or good support systems. All of these things can be fixed. I have some sympathy, but not to the point where I think these women cannot be held responsible for their lives and choices. They have all the power to make changes, just like incels do.

Well, the "-cel" terminology has issues right now because the new purists define "incel" as "person who can not get sex with anyone". As in, someone who failed with 1's of the opposite sex. By this definition it's difficult for women to be involuntarily celebrate, because the bottom-tier and desperate guys would happily take the virginity of the bottom-tier and desperate women.

However, while the biological imperative for men might be to 'spread their seed', the biological imperative for women is different due to the physical and literal 'cost' of pregnancy. They are, biologically, trying to find someone who will get them pregnant with a healthy child but also stick around and provide for a baby. Even with the desire for progeny not present (or suppressed) the female imperative remains to be find the healthiest man who will stay and provide. Therefore, bottom rung women don't want bottom rung men. Bottom rung women can fulfil the biological imperative of bottom rung men, but bottom rung men are literally incapable of fulfilling the biological imperative of bottom rung women.

If inceldom is redefined not in terms of impossibility of breaking celibacy, but rather inability to get any member of the opposite sex to fulfill their biological imperative, then it is possible for a class of men and a class of women to simultaneously fail. In fact, nature practically requires it.

A large percentage of bottom tier men and women could fix themselves if they decided to. Some, frankly, are too disabled, deformed, and mentally challenged to rise above, if they are even physically capable of sexual or romantic contact, and this is nature's heartless way of removing them from the gene pool, as cruel a life as it may feel for them. Those folks are unlikely to hang out among the -cel crowds, however. Folks who have to come to terms with severe congenital challenges are often quite compassionate. The folks who want to create a community of complainers? Those are probably going to be the people who could change their life position substantially if they cared.

I do think femcels exist, I knew an obese girl with scars on her face and she had no male attention ever. She dressed prettily but men didn't find her sexually appealing. I also met a really tall college student with less conventional features and she would walk with bad posture to appear shorter and smaller because she was bullied all her life for looking different than the other girls. Some women have unfortunate facial features or odd body proportions, and we're valued primarily by out beauty. These women have a really hard time in life fitting in.
