I love to ski. I love talking to girls. It works out pretty well that ski hills are the best places on earth to game. Why? Allow me to explain.

She's in a good mood: Assuming a reasonable level of looks and game it's my opinion that your success or failure with chatting up a girl is really just based on her mood and attitude at the time. If she's in full bitch-shield mode your odds are terrible. I can guarantee you that a girl will be in a great mood on the hill. If she didn't enjoy this stuff she wouldn't be there.

Lots of foreign/party girls: In Canada, where I'm from, about 90% of the workers on ski hills are young people from Europe, Australia and New Zealand. When the aren't working they're skiing. When they aren't skiing they're partying. Status is all relative, and if you have a car and make more than minimum wage you're a fucking high-roller compared to the guys they associate with everyday. Not to mention the tourist girls that are here for a week or weekend of fun that may include “meeting some guys.” These girls are down to fuck and party.

High quality girls: It always blows my mind how much higher the average quality of girl is on a ski hill compared to just about anywhere else. Girls that grow up skiing tend to come from middle-class to wealthy families with present fathers and are, on the whole, pretty put together people. Not to mention the fact that girls that are into winter sport exercise tend to have this kind of lean firmness that can't be beat.

You have something in common: You both like to ski/board! Well, how about that for a conversation starter. If you both ski you can make jokes about how boarders suck. If you board and she skis you can jokingly neg her about skiers sucking.

Ski lifts: What if I told you there was a place where chicks just sit on benches waiting for guys to sit next to them and start a conversation. This place exists and it's called a ski lift! This puts everything on easy mode. Starting a conversation on a ski lift is so easy and natural that it's more akward not to. As a side note it's a great place to make new male friends as well. “Hey, bro. Where are the good parties at around here?”

Insta-date production line: Okay, so you've been chatting up some girls on the lift and now you're at the top. The face mask comes off and she's ugly? Not getting anywhere? “See you around!” and off you go. Getting some traction? “Hey, come do a run with me. If you can keep up.” Guess what, you're now on one of those insta-dates you've heard so much about. If it goes well you know where you end up? On that ski lift again for another five minutes of conversation and a phone number.

Now, obviously you can play this game unless you know how to ski or board. So if you don't, learn! Mastery of skills like this are what make men. But you don't have to be amazing at it, because lifts usually have runs grouped to a certain skill level. If you're a beginner stick to the easy lift and odds are the girls on there will be around your skill level. Now, clearly it's easier when you're awesome because it means you can keep up with anyone and impress them. Also, the best ski chicks tend to be fitter and hotter. But everyone has to start somewhere.

Pro Tips:

-Don't forget to pull off the face mask and goggles on the lift. She's gotta view the goods too. The flip side is if you're kinda ugly you can leave them on and try to make her like you before the big reveal.

-Pick you target. You just got off the lift at the top. Everyone is sitting around tooling up for the run. Do likewise and wait for a pretty girl or group of them to unload off the lift. Follow em down the hill and try to end up with them on the lift back up.

-Go on a slower day. When the place is packed every lift will be at capacity. Your odds of getting some 1 on 1 with a girl are low. When the hill is slow you're more likely to be able to score some alone time on the lift.

My favorite thing about gaming on the ski hill is that when you strike out it doesn't even matter, because you're having fun skiing anyway. Outcome independence is easy when it's true.

How do you guys find the ski scene?
