The girl I'm currently dating (not LTR, not exclusive, but she's the only one I'm dating so it feels disingenuous to call her a 'plate') tends to compliment me a lot, either my intelligence or my looks, and I'm not exactly sure how to deal with it. I am above average intelligence and looks (not hard these days with balanced diet and lifting), but it still feels weird. I'm also not sure how it relates to her attraction to me (good or bad?).

Making it more difficult (but is a good thing), is that this girl is very inexperienced; I'm her first real relationship and no previous partners. If I was getting these compliments from a girl with something to actually compare me to I'd be flattered, but with this I think it might just be inexperience (for lack of a better term).

What's a good response to compliments, and is a lot of compliments from a 'plate' a good or bad thing?
