College student here and literally everyone (man or woman, girl or boy) calls me a gentleman.
There's even this girl who I have never spoken to and I've heard from a buddy saying "He's a gentleman."

Now a little about me.
I tend to overdress a bit. Instead of going with a T-shirt and a hoodie (Like all the other guys in my college), I go with a shirt and an overcoat.
Instead of wearing sneakers, I wear oxfords that are mirror shined.
My guess is people judge me based on my looks, but I'd say I have the characteristics of a gentleman as well.

I respect people in general. I say "Thank you, you're welcome and excuse me" as the situation requires ( I NEVER say sorry).

I'm polite and hardly ever swear.

BUT...

Many modern gentlemen put women on a pedestal; they say "ladies first", open the car door for them, pulling their chairs so they can sit down, etc. You know what I'm talking about.
Rest assured, I NEVER DO THAT. I follow basic RedPill concepts and it seems to be working out well. I'd say I have a balance in my life 50% Redpilled and 50% gentleman.
Not willing to change my style but I'm definitely willing to change my behaviour if need be. Thoughts? Should I behave less like a gentleman? How? Do you think being a gentleman is the opposite of being alpha?

Edit: I would like to a moment to appreciate everyone's responses. Here's my conclusion (based on my experience and responses) A gentleman has manners, treats people with respect, LEADS his women and isn't afraid to be sexual. On top of all, he has no respect for those who don't deserve it and a nuke option will almost always follow. This means that's he's flexible if need be (if people, especially girls try to use him, you'll see his dark side). While being a gentleman literally REQUIRES you to pay for dates and drive them home, in this day and age where women are empowered and have their own salaries, it simply is the right path... To being an orbiter.
