I have a job that requires me to work at very high end, fancy pants places. Country clubs, expensive hotels, banquet halls, 4 and 5 star restaurants, places like that.

The people who frequent those places live in an entirely different world than myself. I grew up somewhere between working class and middle class. In my family, their idea of a good time is grilling hot dogs and drinking beers in a garage decked out with beer signs. We don't go to fancy golf courses, we don't have money to spend on our clothes and looks like they do, we cook at home or get takeout. A 4 star restaurant is like a special occasion/once a year kind of thing. And no way in hell do we have the money to spend on 6-figure weddings/events.

Literally nobody I know spends any time with people who are upper class. The only way I've run into so many people who are upper class is through my work. Their jobs are totally different, their hobbies are totally different. Their lives are filled with totally different problems and experiences. Their kids go to different schools than I did, they live in neighborhoods that are astronomically out of price range of anyone I know. Their kids grow up and get married to each other. Not us plebeians.

If you don't hang out with upper class people, then you aren't marrying one of them.

So who the fuck are these hypergamous women redpillers talk about? You just don't see women who grew up in the ghetto hunting down rich ass doctors and lawyers. All of my friends, family, and myself think that such a fancy lifestyle is overrated. I did not grow up in a lifestyle where buckets of money is just thrown at everything and everyone.

I think it's projection. Redpillers think they deserve special treatment, the best of the best when dating, so they assume everyone else is doing the same. As if people who are modest happy campers don't exist.

Most people date and marry within their socioeconomic place. End of story.
