Unless it's an internationally peer reviewed paper with input from many renowned scholars, you're probably reading someone else's catastrophization of the whole situation.

I find that quite unlikely, but you can always go to a doctor and ask him.

You should also allow for and consider correlative replacement behaviours, e.g. possibly excessive porn usage which absolutely can lead to ED. Or a heavily entrenched self-deprecating sense of self that will also not help. But who you are, and how you develop isn't as limited by being a virgin as you seem to think.

Point is, it's just one of those things that RP/BP would say, because it'll depress a vulnerable audience member.

Both RP/BP are basically CBT in reverse. Catastrophise little details and over generalise. It's a pattern of taking in a piece of information (which honestly could also just be outright false), and then even if it was true originally, blow it so far out of proportion that it turns into a lie.

The point is not to be true or false, the point is to depress you. And once you understand that, logically there's no need to stay. However, the issue is emotional. So that's what you need to address. CBT is a good reversal of RP/BP I think. Or so it seems to me.

Can you link the thing you read about sexual dysfunction? If it was a study I'd imagine there are more variables at play for sexual dysfunction.

Yeah many later virgins (especially 30+) have persisting issues in the bedroom. But you don't even have a gf/potential partner so it's not like you need to worry about that anyway

Yes, you can have sexual issues if you lose your virginity late. Or early. Or normal. Or you can not have them. Or a lot. Or not one, ever.

There are a lot reasons to have issues with sex, or to not have issues with sex.

What do you imagine when you say sexual dysfunction issues exactly?

"Virgin" can be a slur, because it infantilizes an adult human and assumes a state of dysfunction. I prefer to think of such a person as simply celibate.
