So I've heard different things from different sources that if you want to hook a woman through text, to not ask generic questions like "what do you do for work" sort of thing.. Some people mention asking questions is okay as long as it is a relevant question that evokes emotions "how did you feel when you first moved here?"
On the other hand, I've heard more often than not, instead of asking questions, its better to make assumptions/ cold read. Things like "you must have been excited to move here and see everything".. "you seem like a pasta girl".. "you seem like an accountant, you must have a big attention to detail"..
Yes I know my cold reads absolutely suck as does my text game lol. I've gotten dates from OLD but thats from simply asking them out right away and getting lucky I think.
What are your thoughts on using assumptions/cold reads in OLD/text? Should I even bother asking questions or try to reword 90% of them into statements?
What are some good examples of statements/assumptions/cold-reads that I can use in conversation to engage a woman through text/OLD? I really need to improve my text game and feel like I've fallen off recently for some reason.
Ps. If I could just interact normally and have a normal quick chat before asking them out without needing any "rules" obviously I'd love and prefer that, but everything I've heard has suggested against that, and my texts are always platonic and boring. I'm not at the point of flirting in text yet, I need to at least be engaging though
