Finding your style, I think, is important. Finding somebody else's style (current fashion), less so.

It really depends. Being at "base line" is extremely important, dressing in rags, stained clothes, or anything n extremely terrible will have a huge negative impact.

Beyond that it depends on your personality and what you are interested in. For some people/cultures style will get you a long way, for others it's marginal.

It's probably about 5% of how attractive you are. 3 of those percent points is your clothes just fitting properly. If your clothes are clean and fit well then it's good enough.

But if you have time, don't settle for good enough. Flip through style magazines and websites and seek advice from girls in stores. Find your style this way.

It matters a lot if you want to maximize your SMV. You have to separate yourself from the crowd. Of course, it matters what you mean by "decent." To me that screams invisible. You want to stand out and then prove that there's substance behind the style.

In all honesty it really doesn't matter, looks don't matter, you will always find one girl. However if you want to maximize your success with women look and dress the best you can. However just know that looks and your style really doesn't matter just as long as your clean and smell nice.

If you like a particular style, it makes you feel fly and you identify with it, then go for it mate. Any other reason, dont bother. If you only are doing it because you think others think it's cool or to fit in, or to 'peacock' to chicks then dont waste your time. But yes at the very least be hygienic, and just wear clothes that fit you properly.

Everything about you 'matters' in totality. It's just to what extent. Style matters somewhat because most guys can't dress for shit and so it can help separate you from the pack a bit. You really don't need to spend much money...I swear I've gotten just as much action while wearing $25 outfits as $250 ones.

Two basic rules for clothes:

Fit for your body- For instance, I'm tall and lean, so some shirts aren't long enough and make me look blocky while others are way too baggy and make me look stupid. When the fit is on point for your body type, it really doesn't matter how much it cost.
Color for your skin tone- Personally, red makes me look terrible and so do some other shades of colors. While some other shades look great. Find out what works well with you skin tone and stick with it.

From there, just focus on adding some cool pieces to your wardrobe and color coordination between clothing (match them!)This can totally shift someone's perception of you and that's what this is all about, creating the right perception of yourself, so females are attracted.

Really depends. Im a woman and clothing plays a pretty big part of attraction for me. For other girls, not so much. I think having good style is worth the effort, and really will only make you more attractive.

Smell good, make sure your clothes aren't too baggy or too tight, and just don't look tacky. You should be fine if all of those things are checked off.

It varies from person to person. In my case, going from average style and hairstyle to a good, standing out one made an absolutely crazy difference. If I judged it by numbers I'd say I went from a 4 to 7-8. But then again, some of my friends go out in decent but average clothes and are attractive as well. So I may just have very clothes dependent looks while other guys don't. Overall, it may have a bigger or smaller impact in your case but in my opinion it's always good to stand out with your style, you always get some points.

does it matter? depends. if you live in a major city being fashionable helps set you apart from other scrubs. if you live in a small town it probably doesn't.

from experience girls can recognize a guy who's fashionable and someone who isn't. just wearing nice shoes can get a girl to notice you.
