What I do sometimes is I open up my phone when I convey that I'm about to leave which subconsciously give them a sense that we're about to exchange numbers.

Dont seem desperate, build a connection first and then close the deal. Most importantly, assume she's going to give her your number( that is act confident)

Close can be a misnomer. If you're having a good time then there is no reason to. If you're good at starting and continuing interaction then simply continue interaction and see where it may lead. Game is a process. Seduction is a process. There is an ebb and flow to it, and the idea/word "close" isn't helpful in this context because it implies a STOP. In music, spots of silence can enhance the piece, but the ends come after crescendo and usually a reiterating of the main theme as a short "promise" that the end isn't really the end. Chances are you're walking away in the middle of the piece, and not letting the silence enhance your piece.

Ok, so you're talking about number close, and actually how to reduce flakes, first thing I would do is to stay longer after getting her number, if you just get it and leave immediately it seems weird, so chat a bit more and tell her you have to go back to your friends. Do you properly do kino and escalate? From my understanding of the side bar you should open, build comfort (escalating + kino) and then try to close afterwards (get number, try to k-close, etc.) do u do the comfort step?

A phone number or a kiss is not a close. You have to gain a real connection to a girl and that takes time. Just coming into a group, dive-bombing them with conversation and then pulling out like retreating Marines gets you nowhere.

My favorite way too close is to say "can I text you?" Its simple and shows your interested. If yhey ask why, just say "so i can ask you on a date"
