I've been lurking for a while, and decided that I'm sick of sitting at home, pining about an ex-gf and being lonely all the time. The issue is this, I'm pretty particular about the kind of bar I go to, and the people I want to associate with. I'm into goth/industrial and there's only a couple of places where you can go for music/people like that.

Last night I went out to a bar that has an industrial night. A few HB8 and some HB6. I ended up having a gin and tonic, standing by the bar, looking around, and watching the dance floor. I guess I'm having a hard time distinguishing between a night where there wasn't really a chance to meet anyone, and a complete failure. I suppose I'll have a better chance at meeting someone on Saturday where it's a goth night at a different bar and there's more people around.

TL;DR First night with a new way of thinking, stood by the bar, had one drink, spoke to no one, went home, failure?
