Never too old, just know and understand that women your age typically come with baggage. Be it divorcees, children or otherwise. I have seen plenty of 40+ year olds with girls in their 30s or sometimes 25s+

The best time to learn something new is right now! I wouldn't put too much stock into those RSD videos or those daygame "insta-pull!!!!!" videos you see on youtube. Your best bet is reading some books and putting what you've learned into practice. There will be victories, there will be learning opportunities. You either win or you learn.

So, everyone is being way too positive about this but I believe being honest has more value than telling someone poor advice. Everyone in this post who is saying it's going to be sunshine and rainbows is on some kind of high. I'm not saying you can't do it, I'm here to tell you it will be the hardest thing you have ever done.

Everyone seems to believe that problems can be put off until later in life but that's actually not how it works and that's a really dangerous way of thinking, in life you deal with milestones and problems in a kind of domino effect, one by one as you progress through your life, so long as you are engaging with life's challenges you can easily deal with these and learn from them. When you put these off through inaction and passivity the problems dont vanish they stack up like a massive snowball and hit you all at once when you finally decide to take action. In other words the problems that you would have dealt with slowly one by one throughout your 20's and 30's are going to hit you all at once.

To catch up with your peers your going to have to make these mistakes and deal with these milestones rapidly, which means going on lots of dates, talking to lots of women, pushing yourself at all times irregardless of how you feel. Rejection will come but that's one of the milestones among many others. The good news is when you start this you experience a kind of ego death and dormant parts of your genes actually wake up and become active. You'll probably have a crises at the realization of how much you have missed but that's good, it's your genes trying to get your shit together.

Just get out there and take a fuck tonne of action even if it's hard.

Do you have any other options? Would you stop getting laid past a certain age, or you will want to get laid forever?

Age is a similar excuse to height, hair, face, race, disability...etc, So even if you are 25 you will find other excuses with this mentality.

Of course not. Don't even do it for the women. From what I've seen and experienced, a lot of guys who have issues with women, the root of the problem is in their heads. Get to the bottom of that and getting more attention from women is just the cherry on top.

And when it comes to age and looks, one thing you'll learn is that men have it easy in that department.

Definitely not too old. I'm in my late 30s and have been as successful as ever, even relative to my 25 year old days despite being balder, older, and uglier. However, I came into my age with a lot of experience I developed over nearly 20 years, so it's not exactly the same, but it's easy to catch up on like 80+% of what you need to be successful with women very quickly.

I didn't. I was 37 when I reached the point where you are now (but never had long-term relationships, I just reached a breaking point with my inability to meet/attract women).

I know it's different for everyone and things may work out well for you but for me, though it took me a while to realise it, I really wasn't cut out for it. It's been this long, lingering disability that seems to have inflicted me since as far back as I can remember. What also took me a long time was actually being able to accept it, you know, no longer secretly searching for that ever elusive light at the end of the tunnel, and I suppose this came about when I turned 50 - I'm 51 now.

You have experience with being with women so this may well put you at an advantage. I've heard stories of guys of an older age bracket being able to make success for themselves but I suppose it's just horses for courses.

Thank you all for your replies. The pandemic is certainly going to add another layer of challenge - I know another thing I can benefit from (and need) is therapy. I need to decondition myself from a lifetime of low self-esteem and self-doubt.
