Again, I didn't want to go out tonight. I was tired, had a headache, and wasn't very productive during the day. However, I recognized that this was typical of all nights in the past and said, fuck it! I'm going out early tonight and completely sober! Shit, shower, shave, and hit the bars with no expectations at around 10:30PM. As I walk to the first venue, I overhear a group of 3 guys and one girl talk about how tonight was going to be awesome. One guy says he has is "swagger" on, and jokes about going up to a girl talking about his swagger. I look at him, and say, "Hey, are you hitting on me?" EVERYONE CRACKS UP! He says, "Don't think you don't like it!" I say, "I'm flattered, but don't play for that team." SMILES. I could have probably rolled with them, but I go to a bar I went to last week, and the bouncer recognizes me for being friendly last time.

I go into the bar, walk to the back of the place and then walk back to the bar and order a drink. I know this is not the thing to do, but it's part of my routine. I see some girls playing a video game, and try to get their attention, but fail. I am unphased. I go up to a 4 set (2 girls 2 guys) and straight up say, "Hey, how're you doin man!". He looks at me confused, and I say the same thing to the girl sitting next to me, "How're you doing tonight!". She smiles, and then I stick my hand out to the confused guy and say, "I'm Sillymallard." They are taken aback, but I face my body perpendicular to the group to ensure the situation is completely unstressful. I banter with them by talking about the usual stuff, "What are you drinking?"; "Where are you from?"; "Isn't this town just great?"; "I really like this bar." The other guy in the group is extremely friendly and assumes I'm friends with his friends, high fives me, and then figures out in about 20 seconds that I just met everyone. He thinks that's awesome, and I realize he's the leader of the group. He is a natural, and just a beautiful human being; he tells me we should hang and he'd be the best wingman for me. AWESOME! We exchange contact info. I talk to the girls a little, but am not too interested since they're in town for just the night. I buy the guy a drink, he is shocked with the generosity, wants to buy me a drink, tries to offer me a sip of his, but I refuse and leave a couple minutes after with no expectations. I feel completely boss for being a giver, and it didn't come from trying to get anything. I just wanted to reward the guy for being such an awesome person.

I go to another bar, and on the way see a guy and a girl dressed up a little strangely. "What are you dressed up for." Turns out they were into a strange sport and got done with a tournament. The guy drops his ligher, and I pick it up for him. Introduce myself, and they invite me to go into the bar. The girl puts her arm around my back, and we walk in. She was into me. They proceed to the back of the bar, and I decide not to follow them, because they were going to smoke, and I hate smoke. I banter with a couple girls at the bar, tell one girl I liked her dress, and make friends with a few other dudes. I notice a few girls checking me out, and I catch them with my eyes! I should have approached them, but didn't, My processing time for recognizing when I should approach is still a couple seconds off, but it's definitely getting shorter. Anyway, I left the bar, and head home. At no point tonight did I feel awkward, uncomfortable, or unhappy. The worst part of my night was getting ready to go out, but right now, I am elated with life from the happiness I generated with everyone else. Everyone that I interacted with had a positive reaction to my attention. The next step is to develop more flirty conversations with girls and # closing.

TLDR: I can now go up and talk to anyone while sober, make them happy, and not worry about losing my balance.
