I was messaging a girl I haven’t met yet who I realised was giving me terse answers and never asking me questions and dodged the question when I asked if she wanted to meet up.

I kept chatting since she was cute and a smart girl (PhD in psychology)

At one point she mentioned how busy she was so I said oh I’m so flattered you’ve found a few minutes to reply and she said she’s almost ghosted me several times.

That annoyed me so I said “Look I’ve enjoyed our conversation but life’s short and I’m not going to invest energy in people who don’t reciprocate it. I want to get to know someone who actually wants to meet and get to know me. You’re either too busy or disinterested, either way I should’ve taken the hint. Best of luck with things”

And to my surprise she sent me back a paragraph about how she didn’t mean to be rude and we can hangout next weekend.

Did she just want to see if I would stand up for myself or something? Or think she was actually busy?
