No wonder men are reluctant to get married.'this is why divorce shouldn't be stigmatised' Wtf. This is like a case study on exactly why divorce should be stigmatized. I'm in no way opposed to divorce but these are literally the circumstances that give it an even worse stigma. | /r/RedPillWives | 30/05/16 05:09 PM
The Female Social MatrixNope, I don't disagree one bit, which I directly state to Phantom above. Agreeing with something and being able to have a critical dialogue of it is what makes it worth agreeing with. | /r/RedPillWives | 30/05/16 05:10 AM
Dealing with being kicked back for acting in an RPwives way.In situations like that, putting them in a position where they have to say something outrageous and blatantly disagree with you being kind is a pretty good out...they'll usually mumble and shut up before they go so far as to suggest it's a foolish thing for you to be doing. That's a pretty difficult position for them to rationalize. | /r/RedPillWives | 30/05/16 01:56 AM

Dealing with being kicked back for acting in an RPwives way. That's true, as long as it's not this attitude (which is what I was reading at face value) then it's a pretty good strategy as long as it's not causing strife for her SO in his family. | /r/RedPillWives | 29/05/16 08:12 PM
Dealing with being kicked back for acting in an RPwives way.Lol normally yes but they are her in-laws so that wouldn't be particularly respectful to her SO. My advice is to play the fool. Big doe eyes and "but why would I not want to do nice things for him??" More questions and then "but he treats me so well, I just want him to know he's appreciated." Let them be the ones to say you're being an unreasonable idiot for treating your partner (their son!) with kindness. Ridiculous lol. | /r/RedPillWives | 29/05/16 07:57 PM
The Female Social MatrixOmg thank you. This is gold. Fortunately TLDR has so many videos I'm not even close to running out of material but now I can mix it up a bit #stoked | /r/RedPillWives | 29/05/16 01:40 AM
The Female Social MatrixThe fact that you want so badly to discredit the article shows that it offended you in some way. But that's not true at all and I think I've all but directly said that. And if it's not clear I can directly say it: I don't want to discredit the article in any way. In fact, I'd prefer to see it substantiated rather than picked to pieces. I'm terrifically far from being offended as well, and even laughed at how much accuracy there was (and took the time to write about how I was laughing lol). | 5 | The Female Social MatrixThe one thing that did stick out mostly was the request for sources. This isn't an academic community, and it is unlikely there are papers that cover these things through kinds of lenses we use. It does make people bristle when one asks for sources etc, when by and large the bulk of everything here is experience, observation etc. Also, the "show source" is something feminists and trolls have used a lot, and the basic rule of the community is that it is not a debate sub, nor will anyone be forced… | /r/RedPillWives | 28/05/16 11:32 PM
The Female Social MatrixI'm not intending to lecture, I'm trying to discuss -- for what other reason do we post content? Is the goal for the sub to be an echo chamber of comments that phrase the word "amen" a dozen different ways? And I mean this so unbelievably genuinely I'm unsure how to convey it over a medium as fickle as text...but why are you and I are at odds with each other right now? None of this is coming from a hostile or disingenuous place on my end. That's not in any way my intention and I sincerely apolog… | /r/RedPillWives | 28/05/16 10:36 PM
The Female Social MatrixI'm genuinely not trying to sound like a contrarian (I actually do not oppose what the article is asserting; I'm more interested in what ways the assertions can be supported by some source, or scientific/biological/whatever terra firma, etc.). But this does make me wonder Actually a better and more relevant example is AWALT. Upon telling a woman about AWALT, her first response is to say "well not me." Her answer both proves AWALT and highlights her inability to understand it as perhaps one of TH… | /r/RedPillWives | 28/05/16 10:21 PM
The Female Social MatrixWhen I read this, I heard "we better only used well-sourced articles just in case a feminist waltzes in!" I can't say how it reads but that's definitely not my intention. I don't think we need to overly-defend everything we say in case someone who disagrees with us walks in (because Jesus lol), but I do think when users in the community finds something questionable then it's not unreasonable to find supporting evidence one way or the other. Does the "how does he know" matter if the material ring… | /r/RedPillWives | 28/05/16 07:30 PM
The Female Social MatrixBut how universal can "real life" be when it's as nebulous as it is? If we are talking about biological imperatives here surely it would benefit from citations. But if this is purely observational on the part of one person, it's a pretty narrow prescription of social interactions; particularly being that it's written by a male who goes on to describe all-female interactions. Where did he get these observations on interactions without his very presence contaminating his findings? I see a lot of r… | /r/RedPillWives | 28/05/16 07:51 AM
Busted! He does and doesn't. For a long time I didn't tell him anything because TRP stuff would make him throw up, and presented in the wrong light this sub would as well (submitting, "being a doormat", things like that). Recently though I alluded to my internet friends and explained that I stopped mindlessly Redditing but instead actively participated in just one sub. I told him it was about reinforcing gender roles (to which he replied "obviously, why do people want to fight nature?") and being the be… | /r/RedPillWives | 27/05/16 07:18 PM

Daily mindfulness ritualsThat's awesome. How significant was the change for you? For me it definitely helped enough that I can't really justify getting back into it, but not so much that I can say "omg giving up coffee is the way." I did go a good 5-6 months without having any coffee but now I'm a little more permissive with it. But that's also because for 5-6 months my anxiety levels were though the roof and that was like fuel to the fire, whereas now all is mostly calm so it's more of a flicker in the night. | /r/RedPillWives | 27/05/16 01:44 PM
Daily mindfulness ritualsYeah precisely. I think I went maybe 5-6 months without having a cup at all and now I'll have it every once in a while guilt free. It was a huge help cutting it out, but it also wasn't a complete silver bullet which tbh I was unfairly expecting lol. If it had really sunk the anxiety ship for good it would have been 100% worth it. It was helpful but I'm still sometimes like "maybe I could just...." Hahaha | /r/RedPillWives | 27/05/16 01:41 PM
Daily mindfulness ritualsThat's good (I guess? Hesitant to even say 'good' because it's all personal preference lol). Have you noticed any difference? Honestly for me it wasn't like "omg this is the answer". It helped but I wish it had helped more because then it would have been super worth it. I have, however, grown a newfound appreciation for tea lol | /r/RedPillWives | 27/05/16 01:39 PM
Daily mindfulness ritualsHave you considered dropping the coffee completely if you have bad anxiety? Trust me I'm not going to preach at you because of my own super special snowflake experiences or anything lol. But that being said, I had (have) really bad anxiety. I'm just a high stress person and it takes a lot for me to keep it at reasonable levels. And there was an extended period of time where I was not making that effort and it became a massive burden on my relationship. | 2 | TL;DR: Laci Green Doesn't Understand FeminismSo I've been tearing through these ever since we chatted about TL;DR and you referred me to this post. I'm seriously obsessed and couldn't be happier when I saw how many videos he has published. This video in the sources was a bit of a disappointment to me, however. I watched the video and choked up a bit when she talks so devotedly about her husband and the day he made his peace with the fact she was transitioned. She sounds really remarkable and very in awe of his masculinity. The part that really made me smile when she said something to the effect of "He was a man. | 2 | "This is What I Want" --the only scene in Mona Lisa Smile that was relevantLike the whole movie hahaha. I think she says at least three times angrily "HE LOVED ME FOR 8 YEARS!" -- at no point it registers that she cruelly kept him around as a beta orbiter (her back up marriage option even!!!) the entire time and like, maybe that wasn't particularly kind? Also that's not saying he has no culpability. I used to do waxing but honestly it was unnecessarily harsh, then you have to wait for it to grow out enough to do it again..and I just don't like that. Also I… | /r/RedPillWives | 13/05/16 06:19 PM

I call him "the true lone wolf". He's extremely confident and comfortable with himself and isn't in the slightest bit socially challenge, but the man doesn't need or want people. But he can deal with them so effectively, he seems like such a people person if you meet him in the right situation. | 1 | Self-Care MegaThread!Like this? Also, would child's pose work? I mean I want to sit up because I want my posture to be well and good but right now it's way more of a pain than it should be and super frustrating. Like is my core that week? | 1 | Self-Care MegaThread!I like this, a more rudimentary thing that I use to keep things in perspective is "hey remember that thing you were upset about 5 years ago?....nope". Then try to remember this is that same thing 5 years from now. I like yours more, it's more analytical but does the same thing. | /r/RedPillWives | 13/05/16 05:41 PM |
Self-Care MegaThread!Stupid question, how to you sit and keep your back from fucking hurting? I have pretty decent discipline when it comes to posture but it sure doesn't come naturally. Sitting in the meditation position is really hard for me to focus on not slouching into myself and keeping my mind off focussing on that lol. | /r/RedPillWives | 13/05/16 05:39 PM
Self-Care MegaThread! For those who are too sensitive to waxing this is an option. I have found that it hurts a lot more so I couldn't actually finish one session but the results are amazing. Just to throw out an alternate perspective, I used to wax exclusively and now I thread and I find it waayyy less painful and waayyy more accurate. It doesn't hurt me almost at all and never really has. My eyes water and stuff but it's really not a huge deal at all. I freaking love threading. | /r/RedPillWives | 13/05/16 05:36 PM
Let's talk about degrading sex actsYep agree 100%, it's an absolute balancing act and weighing where you truly lie in the situation. My partner has a particular act that I really despise but it's very mandatory for his satisfaction. So, I do it. We compromise in that he isn't too pushy or over-zealous, and I go along with it a reasonable amount. If we broke up (which we won't), I would never do it again if it was up to me and would be sure to find someone who didn't care about that. | 3 | Self-Care MegaThread!Hahaha I used to be hardcore into bodybuilding. I always told girls "1) looking like that takes hard work and years, it's really insulting to the people who try to look like that if you think it can happen on accident; and 2), thinking if you start weightlifting that you'll look like that is the same as thinking if you go for a light jog you'll accidentally be able to run ultra-marathons. | 3 | Self-Care MegaThread!Okay I don't know anything about hooded eyelids (I mean I know what they are but not the logistics of working with them) so maybe this is useless but maybe not? I stick a piece of scotch tape from the outside of the outer corner of my eye, and angle it however I want my wing...usually it's to the tail end of my eyebrow. Then I either use my liner or just some eyeshadow real messy like, peel away the tape and voila -- perfect wangs d: | /r/RedPillWives | 13/05/16 05:18 PM
Self-Care MegaThread!Omg you're telling me. It's one of those things my mom used to do and I hated it. Once before a 10 day trip I mouthed off to her during cleaning time and she full-on slapped me -- and she only did that twice my whole life. So it's serious business haha. I made so much fun of her until I left college for spring break and found myself washing sheets and dusting. That was my "oh my god I am my mother" moment. | /r/RedPillWives | 13/05/16 02:25 AM
Self-Care MegaThread!Do you use a powder or liquid foundation? I have recently switched to cushions which are lesser known but I'm really fond. | 1 | Self-Care MegaThread!Ooooo are those apps for Android or iPhone? I know Android had some cools ones Apple didn't offer...I would think there are more options now but I haven't looked at all. I start 'getting ready' for bed about an hour and a half before I plan to sleep. I take the time to stretch, shower, lotion/fuss with my hair, then I read/or play a game. | 1 | Self-Care MegaThread!'Thinside Out: Have your cake and skinny jeans too'. -- this is a great book. Calorie trackers can be helpful or harmful. Weighing yourself can be helpful or harmful. It all depends on how you do it and this book is well-written and an easy read and it does a lot for me about breaking down the psychology of poor eating habits and emphasizing balance above all else. | /r/RedPillWives | 12/05/16 10:46 PM
Self-Care MegaThread!Sugar is the devil. Some people process it better than others (from a purely aesthetic point of view), but frankly I would call it the worst thing for you in terms of health. Fruits and such are fine, but refined and processed sugars. Avoid. In all honesty, it's my greatest addiction and I suck at dealing with it sometimes, but it’s a very important one. | /r/RedPillWives | 12/05/16 10:45 PM
Self-Care MegaThread! When ordering a salad out, dressing on the side always. | 2 | Self-Care MegaThread!Seriously this section is the most straightforward: brush your teeth twice a day, floss every day, and after you floss rinse with a mouthwash. That's it. Your teeth will never be so beautiful/healthy. Also, don't neglect your tongue. That's where bacteria really settle in, brush that guy too. | /r/RedPillWives | 12/05/16 10:42 PM
Self-Care MegaThread! You only have to floss the teeth you want to keep. I don’t care if you’ve heard it -- it’s true. And when it says floss, it does mean floss and not just brush. Floss your teeth by making a C-shape around each tooth, not just bring the floss straight up and down. You want contact on every surface of your tooth. | /r/RedPillWives | 12/05/16 10:42 PM

Self-Care MegaThread!Workout notebooks may work for you (or not). I tend to oscillate between strategies that I love and then suddenly change to hating them haha (and then with time I go back the other way again). I used to use notebooks to track every detail and it made me feel great and loved being able to visualize my progress and success. Then one day it became too structured and daunting and I liked to be loosey goosey. Using them to stay accountable and be proud of your work may be worth considering though! | /r/RedPillWives | 12/05/16 10:35 PM

The coconut oil is just luxurious, it’s a shame my face skin hates it /: That guy speaks for himself, but Amlactin is a nice lotion with a light chemical exfoliant to help clear dead skin cells -- so much healthier looking! | /r/RedPillWives | 12/05/16 10:33 PM |
Self-Care MegaThread!Wait a minimum of 1 week in between start products. It's really hard taking crap care of your skin, researching how to take better care of it, and not being able to do that all at once. But be patient and introduce one product at a time and change nothing else about what you already do. | 2 | Self-Care MegaThread!Moisturizer. Always moisturizer, if you have dry skin - moisturize. If you have oily skin, it's likely your skin overcompensating for dehydration - moisturize. I like CeraVe in the tub (but I am on the market for a new one to see how my skin might like it...any suggestions??). Any time you cleanse, moisturize right after. | /r/RedPillWives | 12/05/16 10:31 PM
Self-Care MegaThread!Keep it simple. Don't get a gimmick cleanser...Cetaphil or CeraVe are 2 good brands to start with. Only use your finger tips. Never scrub with a wash cloth (just stopping that cleared my skin up so much). If your skin feels dry and tight after washing, that isn't clean -- that's your skin stripped of oils and it's bad. I like a light cleansing in the morning and a more thorough one at night. Though just one at night and a splash of water in the AM may be good for you. | /r/RedPillWives | 12/05/16 10:31 PM

Weekly Self-Reflection Thread: 05/09/2016Also, I just remembered you said your age (make a flair, girl!!) I think that changes this a little. Well, not changes things...but explains them. I think his age is the bigger problem -- he isn't ready for marriage and tbh there isn't a good reason he should be. He's young, male, and may have more wild oats to sow than you do. Now his comment about the 5 years is equally hurtful, and your reaction to it is equally reasonable. That doesn't change at all I don't think, nor does my advice to you r… | /r/RedPillWives | 11/05/16 07:15 PM
Weekly Self-Reflection Thread: 05/09/2016I think it would be wise to collect your thoughts on the matter first. The best example I could give you is in my first field report on Wednesday where I talked to HB about his drinking. It had come up in discussion previously (much like your situation) but then I took some time to think. Really think. It took a few weeks and I thought I was going to explode with emotion. But before we spoke next I wanted to make sure the discussion didn't turn into a blubber "but this...but that...but have you … | /r/RedPillWives | 11/05/16 07:09 PM
Practicing VulnerabilitySorry for taking so long to respond! I think you have to think of it like detoxing. Take sugar as an example, the first few days without it are horrible and it's so not worth it...but then it gets easier pretty quickly and then really is laden with benefits. I think you have to just remind yourself that he needs to push back and poke holes in your efforts; and you need it too. For him, he is re-vetting you in a sense and learning what's what. | 3 | Weekly Self-Reflection Thread: 05/09/2016Please do keep us updated! I can only imagine how hard it would be end a relationship of 2 years, and I would not encourage anyone to take it lightly. What I will encourage you to do, however, is to really think about your goals for the future, in and outside of your relationship, and how your SO fits into them. Not how you want him to fit, but genuinely how he does (or does not). It will also be worth considering the timeline you have for these goals, and whether or not you can afford to hope h… | /r/RedPillWives | 11/05/16 08:06 AM
Weekly Self-Reflection Thread: 05/09/2016I would like to stop playing online video games. It's a huge waste of time and I do not think it does anything to help my marriage, or any relationships for that matter. Oh, I don't know. You know yourself the best and if you need to take a step back, which may be true. But I'll say that while I am not very into that particular thing -- if that's what chills you out and you enjoy doing, I don't think there is any reason to be hard on yourself as long as it's balanced usage. | 3 | [Baby FR] "It takes a strong woman to be MY girlfriend"Thank you! It really meant a lot to me especially because he went out of his way to tell me what he tells other people -- it wasn't just to me that he said it. Sometimes little victories are the big victories; we are never going to get thrown a party for being 'Girlfriend of the Year' so things like this are big recognition that you're doing something right (: | /r/RedPillWives | 11/05/16 05:09 AM
[Baby FR] "It takes a strong woman to be MY girlfriend"My friend and I just lost it over that baby kitty! And I agree! | 4 | [Baby FR] "It takes a strong woman to be MY girlfriend"It's been our running joke for a while, all the wee baby children falling in love with him when he's doing the intern work, etc -- but that was the first time it turned into an outright compliment of our partnership (: | /r/RedPillWives | 10/05/16 05:39 PM
Weekly Self-Reflection Thread: 05/09/2016Hi! I saw my bat-call in Phantom's post and wanted to add a few words. First, I entirely echo what she said as far as his statement being incredibly concerning. At a minimum that's a very hurtful thing to say to someone, at a maximum he is trying to plant the seed in your mind that he is not marriage-minded with your relationship. I'm not going to do the /r/relationships Call to Arms to just break up with the guy, but I urge you to consider that you may be a placeholder for him. So I'd rather stay quiet about some stuff until I can articulate. Hi are you me? Haha for real I understand this waayyyy too well. | 2 | Practicing VulnerabilityIt's not that the situation is reasonable given the news and his reaction, but humans don't always react with reason and we have to be compassionate when we can. It's very understandable you didn't think it would be an attack, how could it be? Please just read them as independent assessments: He probably interpreted it as an attack on him and his ability to get you to where you need to be; if you're expressing a need to be with your family, and he can't facilitate that, it's going to make him feel criticized and failing his duties as your partner. | 2 | Practicing VulnerabilityThank you for reading it! And I understand completely. It definitely has to be said this advice is not akin to someone who has always been thin advising people on weight loss. | 2 | Practicing VulnerabilityThank you! It has without a doubt been my greatest struggle, and absolutely the downfall of my previous relationships. I took pride in "not needing" my man. Not in a feminazi way but in a "it seems reasonable to make sure you will be okay without them." | 2 | How was your first encounter with Red Pill theory/RP communities? How did you find the red pill originally? Did a SO introduce you? Did you discover it accidentally through your SO? Did you discover it on your own? I discovered it on my own and I think by accident. I truly don't remember my first time here or how I found it. | 7 | George Sand: feminist selfishness in the 19th centuryI've not ever seen that put so well to words, but I would say I have shared the same goal for a while. Only in abstract thoughts. The most concrete I've ever matured the thought to is that I want my children to witness marital love and affection as a staple of the home, and I want them to have absolute confidence that their parents loved each other. Madly. | /r/RedPillWives | 29/04/16 04:11 AM
George Sand: feminist selfishness in the 19th centuryMhmm. I know there are a few exceptions of women here who did have great family dynamics and role models growing up...that being said I fit squarely in your description. Parents divorced; dad very complacent and beta; mom very dominant; even though grandparents are Catholic and don't believe in divorce, they are no example to follow...my grandma I think resents my grandfather for even existing. And honestly, I might even suggest it's only human to look out for our own best interests, right? | 4 | George Sand: feminist selfishness in the 19th centuryHaha! Well written and still a well-composed rant (no pun intended?) I think the historical element presented as a case study is a really cool concept for a post! And certainly not something I have thought of in any capacity. This woman sounds categorically horrid. | 3 | [Article] Disciplinary Spanking Increased Childhood Defiance and Mental Health IssuesI can think of plenty of exceptions to the scenarios you outlined, between a parent and a child, a married couple, and complete strangers. I'm curious when it's appropriate for a married couple or complete strangers to hit one another? If HB raised a hand to me he would not be my captain a moment beyond that. And if I raised a hand to him, the same would be true plus some. Because a tangible negative consequence can often dissuade someone from repeating the behaviour. | 3 | [Article] Disciplinary Spanking Increased Childhood Defiance and Mental Health IssuesWow, what a thorough response. Thank you! I was raised Catholic though am not much of anything these days. So I understand that perspective though I don't precisely share it. I really didn't have an answer myself in mind when I asked you, which is almost unfair to have put you on the spot like that! Now, remembering that I'm still 100% with you, I have a question for discussion. If we are agreed it's on the wrong side of the line, does that create an obligation to intervene? | 3 | [Article] Disciplinary Spanking Increased Childhood Defiance and Mental Health IssuesI have always envisioned myself talking through everything, or as much as possible, with my kid. This may also be the kind of thing you say prior to being a parent idealistically and then find you fail completely...I don't know. I think this encapsulates my whole anti-spanking perspective. My only think is I'm not sure it's enough for me to get on a soapbox about it? Like to judge/shame those who do (not necessarily openly but just even in my own mind). | 2 | [Article] Disciplinary Spanking Increased Childhood Defiance and Mental Health IssuesI agree with that distinction as well. I think the study was probably somewhere in the middle of those behaviours. I'm sure it wasn't so extreme as your last example, nor so docile as your first. I think the most important part was that it wasn't hard enough to make you cry -- that seems like a big part of it in a good way. | /r/RedPillWives | 27/04/16 02:00 PM
[Article] Disciplinary Spanking Increased Childhood Defiance and Mental Health IssuesYour whole post, I'm not saying it doesn't present a valid perspective because it most certainly does, but it really feels like you didn't even open the article. The point of the study showed that on a very large scale, spanking does not accomplish what you are saying it does. We've all thought what you are saying for a long time, but the whole point is it's much more akin to abuse that constructive punishment. | 6 | [Article] Disciplinary Spanking Increased Childhood Defiance and Mental Health IssuesAlso curious about opinions on this -- a comment on the article stated that "spanking out of love is different than spanking out of anger". I personally 100% agree, I still don't think that makes it an ideal punishment. But it's certainly distinct from a clearly more damaging alternative. I think there are far worse parental mistakes that can be done in the name of love than spanking, unless we are talking about frequency which would also be a variable..but I digress. | /r/RedPillWives | 27/04/16 05:28 AM

RPW Film Club: "Crazy, Stupid, Love"What did the movie get right? I think the reality of divorce on the children was well represented, especially at the point where the kids go to visit their dad at his new, blank and empty apartment This is a really gear point I hadn't thought of, it definitely doesn't sensationalize that aspect of it in any way. And it was frustrating that Jacob and Hannah's relationship was so bland. I can imagine it would be a possible scenario, but not with the amount of information we were given! | 3 | RPW Film Club: "Crazy, Stupid, Love"The first article at a glance has one part that resonates, It says it doesn't like how it does the cliche "Ryan Gosling is a player who discovers his emptiness by meeting 'the one' and realizing love is all he needs". I agree that I don't like that, but I don't feel like the movie actually did that, though it could be argued that was the framework for dynamic they were working with. Usually at a point in the relationship it turns into something you can laugh at, and tbh maybe that's gross but I don't think it has to be. | 3 | IAmA: 7yr old 6'5" Chinese womanI have the same feelings. I do think it's important to draw legal distinction just for society to function. So I think a fair position is let people jump through whatever legal hoops can be agreed upon to legally assign the gender of their preference, and then have them stick to that and whatever privileges or restrictions come with it. | /r/RedPillWives | 20/04/16 06:12 PM
IAmA: 7yr old 6'5" Chinese womanIt's honestly not completely about offending them. There's a protection element involved as well. I'm afraid I don't have the statistic handy but transgenders are significantly at higher risk for sexual assault, or assault in general. So throwing a transgender woman into a man's bathroom is a different kind of safety issue. I'm not saying they should be carried with the same weight, I'm just offering that as food for thought as well. | /r/RedPillWives | 20/04/16 06:05 PM
IAmA: 7yr old 6'5" Chinese womanThe ethnicity and scholarship points, no absolutely not. I would definitely oppose that because as I said, that can be scientifically and objectively disproven. The age thing, no, I would also not support it if someone just says "I'm a 7 year old kid lolol". However, if they could go to a doctor and have it scientifically and objectively proven they are developmentally delayed to that age, then yes that would be appropriate. And to your last question, also no. I would not support that. You need … | /r/RedPillWives | 20/04/16 06:02 PM
IAmA: 7yr old 6'5" Chinese womanSex and gender are separate terms, so I think you mean sex, which is absolutely true and they are one and the same as the ancestry situation | /r/RedPillWives | 20/04/16 05:48 PM
IAmA: 7yr old 6'5" Chinese womanIt's really funny but regardless of where you stand on the subject, I think it's a broken analogy. We have the technology to objectively identify someone's height (a ruler) lol. And their ethnic ancestry (DNA tests). We have not yet identified hard and fast conclusions to explain the phenomenon of gender identity (not your birth sex, that's also objective) but of gender identity, same as we have not yet with sexual orientation. | 3 | How to be vulnerable. My SO enjoys being involved in my decision making processes. Obviously not every little thing, but when something is troubling me he likes to be able to pose a logical solution. I benefit from his insight into a difficult situation, and we grow closer by sharing our trials and successes. He works long hours and we don't always get to spend a lot of time together, This sounds a lot like my SO and I. A lot. When I am bothered, he knows immediately. | 3 | How to be vulnerable. This is a great distinction between the two. I'm a fan of that phrase they mentioned, but it's not a blanket statement for any criticism to be had of every situation. Many times things need working through and it can be done constructively. Well said (: | /r/RedPillWives | 20/04/16 04:56 AM
How to be vulnerable.I'm so glad you enjoyed! Rereading it I'm a little surprised it even made sense since I wrote it at such an early hour d: I haven't ready SW yet but I read SS and really want to move onto that one -- I keep starting and stoping it haha. Alls I know is relinquishing control over decision-making has been more like a gift to me than a loss of anything. My SO is such a capable leader and always does right by us -- it leaves me more brainpower to think of ways to show appreciation (: | /r/RedPillWives | 20/04/16 04:54 AM
FR Challenge: NO BITCHING (Part 2 of 2)You deserve an award!! I very much appreciate even just the act of reading, and even more so your insightful comments. We are certainly no perfect couple, but this challenge gave me great insight over how much control we actually have over moving our relationship closer or farther from the unattainable 'perfect'! And now...I need a rest from writing d: Feel free to throw your own post up this week for me to read! (; | /r/RedPillWives | 20/04/16 04:05 AM
How to be vulnerable.Well I suppose it's the intention that changes it. Take the same situation twice: A: "Oh my god, Jenna at work was being so annoying today. She was slacking and overly chatty, which not only distracted me from my work but piled more onto my plate! It's really frustrating and I hate having to deal with it." VS B: "Oh my god, Jenna keeps being distracting and off-loading her work on me. I'm not even sure how to handle the situation, but it's completely unsustainable and affecting my performance. Jokes aside, it really was my hope that there is value to be found in the details. I also don't think I've seen a FR as expansive as this either, which may be good or bad lol. | 11 | How to be vulnerable.Practicing Vulnerability To be vulnerable is absolutely a skill (yes, a skill) that must be practiced for those of us who weren't raised already knowing it. It's a hard skill to practice, because an inherent risk must be performed, and not just any risk. It's the risk you are most afraid to take, which is how you wound up in this situation in the first place. You're afraid to open up. You're afraid to give someone the power to break you. You're afraid to trust someone else with your emotions and… | /r/RedPillWives | 19/04/16 04:04 PM
How to be vulnerable.Vulnerability can also start with step one. "I'm sorry baby, I know I've cut you off so many times in the past. Please know I am going to sit right here and listen to what you have to say, and won't interject with my own feelings. It may be a struggle at first but please support me as I try and repair the damage I've been doing to our relationship" | /r/RedPillWives | 19/04/16 02:12 PM

How to be vulnerable. This is hugely great advice. When I started here at RPW I made it a point to apologize always for ugly behaviour. No matter how much time had passed. I told HB once "I'm trying here, and I'm getting quicker in my reaction time between acting ugly and apologizing. Pretty soon I'll get that reaction time so quick, I won't have to apologize because I'll catch it first!" He laughed but that's almost exactly what happened. I mean, it's not perfect 100% of the time, but it's pretty damn good. | /r/RedPillWives | 19/04/16 01:43 PM

It was my goal to basically be the RPW ideal -- even if it was incredibly forced (which, it actually wasn't that forced), but without my invisible accountabilibuddies (you guys!) I know I am much more prone to getting thrown off. I would say what I was most surprised to learn was how much better it made me feel -- and reflecting and writing every day was very helpful to that. Our friends are the ones who view our features as good things, and there's no shame in the ones who can't stand our personal brand of crazy. | 3 | FR Challenge: NO BITCHING (Part 1 of 2)Thank you!! It was such a fun time haha. And it was absolutely not a coincidence; that above all else was like the penultimate example of why not bitching is always better. I can't imagine, knowing now what he had planned, if I had gotten upset at him for being terse on the phone. | 7 | FR Challenge: NO BITCHING (Part 1 of 2)I'm always open to CC, and will still look forward to yours. But no, it didn't seem humorous to me. It just seemed critical. | 3 | FR Challenge: NO BITCHING (Part 1 of 2)I don't find it at all necessary for you to be rude about it. It's long. I get that. I've recognized that, and I've warned about it. But to make it more clear, become more confident, not more complacent. There is a huge difference. If you are overweight, lose weight and love yourself in earnest. | 3 | Favorites and RecommendationsKitten made a post about the book "How to Improve Your Marriage Without Talking About It" and I've found that to be a great resource. It emphasizes connecting to communicate as opposed to communicating to connect, and identifies common fears (for women this is typical isolation, and for men this is typically shame), and how to avoid fueling each others'. First and foremost, has your mother explicitly asked for your help in this? What about your father? Without both of them being on board with you playing Able Andy, you're going to cross very quickly into the territory of nosing where you shouldn't nose. | 2 | Is PMS Just Another Excuse to be a Bitch?Right, but they just debunk other studies that may have not been conducted thoroughly and suggest an alternative correlation (or lack thereof), it's good information to be sure. But it doesn't categorically disprove it either. Actually, you and I just chatted in the IRC about it yesterday or the day before, and I mentioned feeling emotional and checked my cycle to see if I was about to start my period (and I wasn't). | 3 | Is PMS Just Another Excuse to be a Bitch?I don't necessarily think it proves the theory. A lot about my periods and hormones have changed with age -- cramps have improved, hormonal acne got worse, flow has changed, etc., etc. I don't think my emotional changes are the result of marketing inundation; it's hard to say "hormones + teens = worse", it's just "hormones + teens = different". | 9 | Is PMS Just Another Excuse to be a Bitch?Anecdotally, I think my PMS is somewhat authentic because It isn't severe "omg I'm PMSing go kill yourself". I actually don't even notice when it happens, it's usually the day after. So I think due to the changing hormones, some attitude changes are a reasonable expectation. I do, however, agree for the most part it is grossly overhyped. I can only speak for myself, but usually I'm just a bit more prone to snapping and definitely to crying. | 6 | RPW Transcends Sexual StrategyI've talked to you enough to know that if we are the same person, there are far worse people to be d: #twinning But yes to the last point, absolutely. It's primary focus will always be sexual strategy and the applications therein, but there are so many auxiliary benefits to be enjoyed as well -- I know overall I am a much happier person, inside and outside of my relationship, for having the support and values of this community. | /r/RedPillWives | 15/04/16 06:13 PM |

What many men do in this situation (my own included as I can't say I lead some perfect RPW fairytale life from birth) is risk assessment. | 3 | What Women Really Want Is The PatriarchySo much this /: I feel like I'm struggling for time constantly. And it's not because I'm particularly busy. I've seen busy. My SO is busy. I'm not busy. And yet if I had children right now, I'd have maybe 4-5 hours a day to spend with them? And that's not even quality time. I sleep 8 hours, I'm at work 9 hours, I'm getting ready for work for 1 hour, I'm commuting for 1 hour. Work just stole almost 50% of my day without even trying, then with sleeping there's 19-20 hours of it. It's just sad that… | /r/RedPillWives | 14/04/16 12:50 AM |

What Women Really Want Is The PatriarchyThat's fair and I'm looking forward to seeing your commentary. I have no desire to get into a debate about feminism, but to clarify just slightly what I meant: The article addresses a very limited range of 'the patriarchy' (sexual strategy). Saying women need 'the patriarchy' when you proceed to address just about none of it is a little problematic. What part of the patriarchy do we need? And where does it stop? Are we limiting where I have access to employment? Should I no longer be allowed to … | /r/RedPillWives | 14/04/16 12:30 AM
What Women Really Want Is The PatriarchyI think the crux of my rant that I didn't flesh out so well is that this article is very much about sexual strategy, but comes with a lofty title that exceeds the premise of what it discusses. I would be very interested to see your post though! | /r/RedPillWives | 13/04/16 11:41 PM
What Women Really Want Is The PatriarchyYes! 100% agree, fits the sentiment, way more accurate, and doesn't open itself to invitations for political debates that it didn't mean to start or even address. | /r/RedPillWives | 13/04/16 10:49 PM
What Women Really Want Is The PatriarchyThis is a good article, if not one dimensional. I agree with everything it says, but it really only addresses the personal/romantic side of the patriarchy, which makes the title a bit misleading IMO. From a professional side, I'm no economist or whatever the hell this expertise would be, but I think it could be argued "the patriarchy" (which turns into a little too broad of a stroke to speak accurately to, but I'll run with it) does offer negative consequences for women that don't have anything … | /r/RedPillWives | 13/04/16 07:22 PM

It's one of those things like it's ok for him to call his mom a bitch (just as an example) but don't you ever do it because he might take it offensively. Just listen to him and be sympathetic. Yes! | 3 | Reminding VS NaggingEek. I can't even imagine dealing with the fallout from that one. It sounds like a learning experience and being that it was so many years ago, I hope it's a laughing point now (: | /r/RedPillWives | 12/04/16 08:05 PM |
Reminding VS NaggingThat is absolutely true. And it doesn't sound in any way manipulative to me. Firstly it shows you need is help and it's got nothing to do with your willingness to take care of the task yourself. And secondly it really cuts down on the effort he needs to exert to complete said task. Any time you can make something a team effort so that less falls onto him is a great practice to keep up. | /r/RedPillWives | 12/04/16 06:47 PM
Reminding VS NaggingWhen HB and I live together I totally want a His & Hers 'Honey Do' list for things like that (: And it's a good rule to drop it if you've already broached it without success! A good sign it's not on his top list of things to do. | /r/RedPillWives | 12/04/16 04:47 PM
Reminding VS NaggingThis is also a good point. It depends on the issue and your man's competency. If you are reminding him every day to feed himself or do basic things, that's probably a not good sign. | 5 | Reminding VS NaggingYup! and it's forgetfulness that can really get into the gray area of "Does he need/want reminding? Should I just shut up?". And the asking about reminders and timelines for them is very helpful for me. Sometimes I ask and get "no it'll get taken care of", or "no, I'll get to it when I get to it", but other times it's "yes, check back in on Thursday so I don't forget". | 5 | My mother(66F) is very negative about my(36F) Husband(32M) - Ladies, how does a RPW deal with a well-intentioned but toxic for the relationship grandma?First off, good you recognize the toxic view of thinking you're somehow different than other women. You're not. And this comes from someone who thought the same for a while, and realized I'm not. It was probably a year or two ago when the crazy thought struck me that if I don't get along with women, who has the problem? Me? Or every other woman in the world? I don't know if HB would ever agree once we are there in our relationship, but I think my secret perfect dream would be eloping quietly and then carrying on with the wedding planning as normal. | 5 | Intro PostI know??? Well I mean, I think they are also playing into the average woman's perspective self-delusional notion that weddings are the only thing that matters ever. "Why of courrsseeee your dress take 6 months today, we provide nothing less than the most exquiiisiite garments for your maaagical day". Lol but for real, brides don't want to hear "One dress? Not to disrespect the fantastic ideas Laura Doyle presents in her books, but I'm finding the "How to Improve Your Marriage" book to be much better written and more systematic with the pacing and points made. Relationships are such nebulous subjects that I can appreciate the difficulty there must be in writing a cogent piece, let alone a whole dang book, on the topic of improving them. I absolutely appreciate both authors and books, but I have started The SW and had a hard time engaging … | /r/RedPillWives | 06/04/16 06:09 AM
Intro PostFirst off, tis more than a reasonable answer haha. I promise it wasn't a quiz and I didn't have any secret agenda. I just like feeling a sense of who people are in this community, we are all people after all and it's nice to humanize the online usernames when possible. I've also been most influenced by a number of threads that have discussed treating your SO as a "guest" and treating your SO better than you treat any other person in your life. | 4 | RPW Theme Song? <3All of their songs are like that. Joey and Rory Feek -- literally an RPW's inspo wet dream. I love watching them talk, she literally glows with feminine energy and is so clearly enamored by her husband. If you don't feel like sobbing your eyes out today though, definitely do not Google them. | 10 | Iyanla's Tough Love for a Defensive Wife: "Stop Trying to Be Right"Aw snap. The part that got to me was when he said "you don't do x, y, and z" and she immediately comes back with "YES I DO, oh yes I do!" No. If you did he wouldn't need to say it. And if he's saying it you need to listen. And if you're listening then change your approach. The part where she straight up shuts down is a huge problem I have. | 6 | Sexual AvailabilityI think the key words here are 'willing to please him in other ways'. We are girls, and sometimes the downstairs situation is sensitive. As long as you are making your best effort, it would be downright insensitive and inconsiderate partner to demand more than what you can physically accommodate, especially if you are accommodating. | 10 | Sexual AvailabilityGood write up. I'd like to note just plain and simple one of (in my humble opinion) the predecessor thoughts to all this: A relationship is a commitment to monogamy and exclusivity, not celibacy. Your man has committed to having sex with you and only you, he has not committed to having no sex at all. If there is not a medical or mutually agreeable reason then by denying him sex you are categorically renegging on one of the founding principles of your relationship and violating 'the terms of agre… | /r/RedPillWives | 05/04/16 02:43 PM
Recommended book – How to Improve Your Marriage Without Talking About it, by Drs. Love and StosnyWow I would love to read this. I am an absolute "word person", and not in just the standard 'womanly way'. All my jobs have been writing-centered and my 'intelligences' (i.e. Logistical, Verbal, etc) are radically polarized. I am like, exceptionally good at doing 2 things, and then anything that is not one of those 2 things I struggle monumentally with. No balance there. A 'dependent' on the other hand, he fits almost all the marks for that. | 2 | On the topic of SOs drinking excessively; how to conduct yourself?Fair enough. I'm no doctor but my SO attributes his drinking primarily because of his Adderal prescription, which he resents being put on so young and isn't logistically set up to begin tackling that monster. I also know he really enjoys it in a similar way people enjoy coffee, the process, etc (he exclusively drinks whiskey). | 2 | On the topic of SOs drinking excessively; how to conduct yourself?I appreciate your response. I meant to use "problem behaviour" to define how he acts, which is fine, albeit there could be an element of what you described with your husband also at play. I haven't given too much thought to his drinking before, and it's never bothered me. | 1 | On the topic of SOs drinking excessively; how to conduct yourself?Apologies, there were other users in similar situations (from the other thread) so I did mean to generalize to address all those cases insofar as how to broach a discussion or if it's not worth it. I just added a 'worst case scenario' hypothetical comment for my own curiosities. | 1 | On the topic of SOs drinking excessively; how to conduct yourself?Sorry, this is a little confusing because you are addressing the post and my hypothetical comment at once. Some of your advice would make sense to me, but the hypothetical was truly a hypothetical which is why I made it distinct from the OP. My SO definitely does not need an intervention of the scale I described. He drinks 2-3 drinks each night, but it is every night. I've never seen him drink to excess and those 2-3 drinks have never caused any problem in our personal life or in his work. So th… | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/04/16 07:45 PM
On the topic of SOs drinking excessively; how to conduct yourself? We are just dating but he exhibits no problem behaviour and does not drink to excess, ever. He has 2-3 drinks each night and that's all, but it is every night. He has never acted in any way due to his drinking that has upset me, and it doesn't affect our relationship or his work in any way. It seems excessive to just dump him without a discussion of any kind, but I don't know if I can cope with his drinking habits for life. Particularly when I entertain the idea of children. | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/04/16 07:41 PM
On the topic of SOs drinking excessively; how to conduct yourself? Also, as a hypothetical, say there was a situation with objective 'intervention-level' alcoholism and many loved ones were in agreement there was a problem. Would it be argued that a situation of that kind of medical severity transcends what the RPW ideology is equipped to handle and that an intervention may be appropriate? Or would it still be inadvisable to engage and rather just leave? | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/04/16 07:09 PM
Concern about SO drinkingBut he does get drunk (and seems drunk) if he's had more than his usual? 3 drinks doesn't seem like enough to get even a generally sober man drunk. If he has 5-6 he does get drunk. I don't mean to appear argumentative, you're raising some great points and I appreciate you taking the time to discuss. | /r/RedPillWomen | 01/04/16 01:32 PM
Concern about SO drinkingWhat is the line in drinking behaviour that makes you comfortable with your SO's drinking? Is it a concrete unit of measurement like "doesn't drink every day" or "doesn't drink excessive amounts"? Or is it something less quantifiable like "doesn't cause problems in his life or our relationship"? Because the last statement is true of my SO (I posted my own comment below), and that gives me piece of mind. But measuring it any concrete way and it's definitely not ideal and it does linger in my mind… | /r/RedPillWomen | 31/03/16 09:30 PM
Concern about SO drinkingWell it's much less alcohol, at least in terms of how intoxicated he gets at the moment. The fact that he doesn't get drunk almost ever is one of my greatest sources of relief. 2-3 glasses per night (averages 14-21 glasses per week) vs 4-6 bottles per week (averages 20-30 glasses per week, but is only distributed across 3 nights). Damn straight about the professional part. Don't know how I would broach that conversation though. | 1 | Concern about SO drinkingDo you or your mother have any concerns about your father? I posted my own comment above as I'm in a somewhat similar situation to OP. But my SO's drinking is almost precisely like your father's -- two per night (it has increased at times but 2-3 is the standard for him). On the downside, it is every night. On the upside, he never binge drinks. Period. I've only seen him drunk maybe 2-3 times in our 18 month relationship. You can empathize with, relate to, and respect someone who is either religious or not, and present your personal position in a way that is not offensive to either. Right now my hair is absolutely disgusting air dried. I just look frizzy and homeless. It didn't always used to be that way, but I think it's dried out and the shorter length causes it to get big. Super perfect. My hair style is pretty standard as of now. I'm growing it out from an awful hair cut, and refuse to do anything less than tame lol. It's just shoulder length with a couple face-framing pieces. If I let it air dry, it looks like this except it's shorter so it makes it even huger lol. | 1 | How do you working women balance the longer parts of your self-care routines with your schedule?I'm pretty adept with skincare and makeup so I'm comfortable with doing a 15 minute routine that's a little more complete, or prioritizing what I do down to 5 minutes. Hair is just such a time thing, I can never get over it. And my hair texture has changed, it's probably unhealthy but I don't know how to care for it, and if it air dries it's just a dry and poofy mess lol. I also enjoy not having to wash it every day, but with exercise that seems impossible without it being disgusting. I'm hoping… | /r/RedPillWomen | 29/03/16 03:57 PM
Update: BF stopped inviting me out to parties as muchThat sounds really productive! Funny I didn't even think about it, but his attitude when you are out together is quite similar to my SO's. When we go out together his policy is "moogi butch" -- I am sure I completely butchered the spelling lol, but it means "mouse's tail", which is how close to him he wants me to stay. He repeats it before we step out anywhere busy, or if I'm getting too bubbly like you haha. Then again, he doesn't have the "separate we are separate" attitude either. He always w… | /r/RedPillWomen | 29/03/16 02:16 AM
Can't get over SO's postI feel like there is a difference between "I'm not ready for marriage or children right now, but I definitely want them some day" (what she is saying); and, "I'm not ready for marriage and children right now, and I don't know if I want them at all" (what he is saying). Or am I missing something? She seemed alright with him having general insecurities and acknowledged it was human of him, it's just going from "I want to marry you and have your children" to "marriage sucks and I don't know" that s… | /r/RedPillWomen | 29/03/16 01:33 AM
Can't get over SO's postI think there can be a compromise found between an immediate 'next' and being strung along. OP, do you want to be married? You say you are only slightly familiar with RPW. An RPW most certainly would want to married. If you do, and I suggest that you do, this flip-flopping business is completely destructive to your longterm goals. It enables him to have his cake and eat it too, with no need to offer the ultimate commitment. If you do want to be married, you need to tell him so. Now. Stop wasting… | /r/RedPillWomen | 29/03/16 01:05 AM

My bf has stopped inviting me out with his friends/to parties as much and I'm hoping it's just normal settling in to relationship stuff?Hm wow okay that's really a bit different than I thought. I was more getting the impression you were in school and hadn't been exclusive all that long. Sorry if that sounds offensive, just giving you the vibe of it. In that case I feel like something has definitely happened. Were you 19 and been together a few months, I'd be more inclined to think he was just losing interest. This sounds rather deliberate on his end...He doesn't want you there. All I can suggest is thinking very critically on th… | /r/RedPillWomen | 27/03/16 04:54 PM
Simple QuestionsThis sounds awesome! I was hoping for prevention because right now we don't live together so just doing it daily isn't an option for me. Does the lack of mirror cause him any trouble or is it easy enough? | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/03/16 09:40 PM

Simple QuestionsRegarding housekeeping, Who has a tip for prevention or staying on top of all the little whisker hairs that go all over the bathroom counter when your man shaves??? Prevention would be better but gosh it seems like a lost cause sometimes. | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/03/16 04:04 PM
My bf has stopped inviting me out with his friends/to parties as much and I'm hoping it's just normal settling in to relationship stuff?Well...in that case it sounds a bit like you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Rather than have a glass of beer or wine, I typically go for club soda and lime. It looks like a cocktail and nobody asks questions. Also, if he is worried about you not having a good time due to lack of drinking, you can directly express that you don't mind; i.e. "Honey I don't need alcohol to enjoy spending time with you" or something similar, stated lightheartedly and dropped. If he pushes it, then I wou… | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/03/16 04:01 PM
My bf has stopped inviting me out with his friends/to parties as much and I'm hoping it's just normal settling in to relationship stuff? There may be some truth to what you are saying pertaining to her behaviour while drinking (hard to know). But two points to make Of course she wants his friends to like her; It's very important to me my SO's friends all like me. And they do. And all is well. That part just doesn't strike me as odd. She mentioned he won't even invite her to BBQs, even if there are other girls there. A BBQ may lend itself to light drinking, but that doesn't strike me as a boozefest. In either case, seems to me if … | /r/RedPillWomen | 26/03/16 07:35 AM
An update/field report on The Hundred Hour Work Week (for those who remember)It sounds like you are doing great. My SO is kind of the same, but it's even harder because we are kind of LDR. We aren't...but we are. We both live in the same city and have agreed this is where we are setting our life up, but his work takes him all over the state. His last project had him about 10 days away/4 days home; then he got it to about 10 away/7 home, which was nice; and now he's 100% gone but that's new as of this week, which I'm adjusting to. He basically took a 9-5 office job, but t… | /r/RedPillWomen | 25/03/16 06:28 PM
