The other issue with this is that you should not be inviting men into your fav restaurants until you're in a serious relationship. Many women in this subreddit have mentioned guys they've dated showing up to their favorite restaurant all the time and running the experience ):

I'm 21 and I've seen so many men on OLD comment about being attracted to women with "daddy issues". Honestly really disturbing. I'm scared for my generation of women and the next.

Nah cause engaging in BDSM with my first partner is literally what traumatized me and then worsened my trauma down the line 🙅🏼‍♀️🙅🏼‍♀️ Most men are not equipped to handle and ask for consent.

The first and most important thing is to set financial goals. Most financial goals are achievable with light-moderate spending as long as you're not extremely tight on money. If you set a monthly budget and stay within it, I don't necessarily think what you're doing is bad, especially if you're finding fulfillment in it. If you're finding it difficult to stay within budget, putting the energy into learning how to make thoughtful gifts and learning more about fine jewelry (as an alternative to co…

Ugh.. I needed this at the beginning of this year. Made a new friend late 2020 and she convinced me to "communicate" lol. Was pretty sure it wasn't going to work but just wanted to prove it to her. Wasted a month of my time hoping the dude would take me on an actual date.

While this is extremely alarming, it can't be extrapolated to the rest of the population because of the survey's design. That poor woman though... Her boyfriend even admit it. I don't know how people can expect us to feel safe around men anymore.

LMAO this was the guy I recently ended things with, with some other LV stuff tacked on. How can men sleep over and not bring a fresh set of clothes?? Or at least a toothbrush. They live too comfortably, whack.

Dumb fox strategy sounds good, it's fun to implement into interactions. I'm just wondering how I would include it. Like, if he starts pressing me about why we haven't progressed physically, what would I say? I could change the subject/ignore him if he makes sexual jokes and whatnot, but otherwise I'm not too sure how to proceed

Oh, that must be so hard :( especially alongside the pandemic and all the isolation. I'm sure it's been long coming, there will be better days ahead. Wishing you lots of healing ❤️ you got this

Disregarding the confusion on when or if to tell him, I otherwise recommend it! It's so empowering to know that you have both your fertility and safety (regarding STIs) in your hands. I'm personally pro-life and also don't intend on using hormonal birth control so it's been a great fit for me. Although it's definitely up to you, there are pros and cons no matter what choice you end up making.
/r/askFDS01/06/21 10:32 PM

I let myself acknowledge the good thought, but I make sure to include a "negative" thought about them as well. Every good behaviour they demonstrated is paired with some way they treated me poorly.

I'm honestly thinking he might be on the autism spectrum or otherwise not be neurotypical. I have ADHD and tend to do that on a much lighter scale (referencing a variety of people actions to gauge what's "normal"), but that's definitely weird asf considering dating patterns vary so much from person to person 😭

By not asking you, you skipped over an entire conversation that could've involved the discussion of your boundaries (regarding cheating for example) and reinforcing how important it is for him to ask for consent for things. Him assuming that he didn't need to ask also shows him that he doesn't need to put tangible work into pursuing you. He can just "assume" you will tolerate certain things. While it can be awkward, learn to handle it maturely. It's extremely important and can be a useful tool. …

The main one would be then gaslighting you for pointing out or finding issues in their behaviour. You're probably completely reasonable, don't let them bully you.

The fact that you had a visceral reaction even before he yelled at you at the roundabout is showing that you subconsciously already know this is wrong. These situations are the stepping stones of emotional abuse. Having ADHD means I have time blindness, and struggle with that exact situation. I'm rarely ever exactly on time and I'm always packing a few things together last minute, resulting in me being no more than 5-10 minutes. The only partner I ever had become upset from that was my most toxi…

It is so painfully clear that he doesn't contribute as much to the household tasks as she does. No wonder she lost attraction. This poor woman is so overworked with cooking, cleaning, and childcare, and on top of that her partner doesn't care at all and is trying to convince her something is wrong with her. I wish we could bring her here 😞

Stop shaming woman's physical preferences ❤️
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/05/21 04:48 PM

This doesn't make sense to me. Yes, men will happily point out genetic flaws in us, but what you're doing is shaming a fellow woman for being attracted to this man, not "shaming" a feature of his. Your actions aren't creating the impact you're seeking.

The podcast episode "the gender gap of pandemic proportions" by the podcast "Ladies, We Need to Talk" discusses this! Women now have even more emotional labour duties piled on and it's not being talked about enough

Wouldn't this apply to any form of media? Avoid looking at media that portrays relationships positively to avoid getting your hopes up ? I think it's fine to consume "aspirational" media, but it's important to have an outlet like a good friend or FDS to keep us in check to avoid us getting too absorbed.

Exactly, she didn't consent to these terms. Unfortunately, I feel like both him and her own self are going to be gaslighting her. We can only hope she comes to her senses 😞

Ah, yes.. these were the days. I remember when I first got onto online dating (hardcore pickme days) and this ended horribly. "Yes, he did just say that he finds it sexy that I'm 'submissive and quiet', but I'm sure he didn't mean it in a weird way, I gotta do one more date!" I used to gaslight myself so much and I cringe so hard thinking back to the perverted men I put up with 😭

I lost a lot of my attraction towards my ex because of this. He couldn't really grow facial hair, but his light stubble along with lack of skincare really irritated me. I always got rashes wherever his face was and I could barely stand him kissing me by the end. Exfoliating isn't that hard 😭

That's honestly so funny to me. Like this dude seriously thought that right after you break up with your bf, the first thing you're going to do is call/text him immediately because he is that irresistible 💀💀 They live in such delusion. Must be nice..

Ugh the directions one... I was so ignorant a year ago and I remember a guy coming up to me at uni and asking me where a building was. I spent two minutes trying to explain it to him (I have a very poor sense of direction and there was a bunch of construction) only for him to start asking about my studies. I probably find out he's a third year student! 🤡 Worst part is that I was going on a date with someone and waiting for them (they showed up as I was talking to the guy) and I tried to leave, t…

You've been "talking" to someone? Not even dating? And he's already started bringing up kids in a non-commital situation? It really sounds like he wants to find a way to trap you without having to spend money on an engagement ring/marriage/house/etc. Huge red flag imo. Stop "talking" to him.

Yup !! Most of our height requirements are very reasonable lol, but even if someone has some "absurb" (we love high standards though 💗) height requirements, why would they want to date someone like that ?? It doesn't make sense

Michelle Denise Rosser, 38, is murdered by her partner. He told police her facial injuries (which included a fractured skull, a brain bleed, multiple bruises and grazes) were from sex they'd had the night before. She'd called police 11 times in 2 years to report domestic abuse. Murder, life, min term 18 years Minimum term of 18 years after her having called police 11 times in two years to report domestic abuse?? Are they mad?? Wtf is the justice system. They've already created artificial wombs. There is just a lot of ethical dilemmas regarding "testing" on humans, so it hasn't progressed much 🤦🏼‍♀️

The worst part is that adding two inches to your height in extremely common advice on dating subreddits. The logic is that most women "won't know the difference" when they're in shoes, and since so many other men are doing it, they have to "compete". They're so dumb I stg.

Yea, I agree. I'm personally saving penetrative sex for marriage, but since I'm fine with other stuff, I have participated in those earlier than I should of. I'm still in the process of building self discipline in that department, but I have noticed some men drop off after mentioning the no sex until marriage thing. How do you go about it, if I may ask? Or how would you go about it? I'm torn between straight up telling them I'm waiting for marriage and trying to keep it secret to avoid giving LV…

Not necessarily, I've found that many men are comfortable playing the long game or will try to appeal to your emotions/desires to get you in bed. After that, they might ghost, or their efforts will drop off dramatically.

I've been battling with this as well. In the last year, I have been pretty up front with who I've been dating and told them I'm looking for marriage. All the men who "agreed" with this eventually dropped off their efforts either after we became exclusive, or even before we became exclusive after he got comfortable. When I get back into dating, I want to experiment with going with the approach outlined in "Why Men Love Bitches". You essentially tell him you're unsure of what you want or that you'…

It's also them expecting free emotional labour from us. I shut down so many men expecting me to present them with a whole ass bibliography (they present nothing, of course) by telling them to pay me for it. Haven't had any takers yet! We can take the time to research, present studies, quote highly respected professionals, and they'll still go on and waste our time and energy. I have been so angry since learning this. I spend quite a bit (arguably too much) time on social media, and the sheer volume of men who go out of their way to tell women they're ugly or they should do XYZ is astonishing. It's so deeply ingrained for them to be entitled to someone looking good for them.

While the things he's done make leaving him objectively the right decision, it's okay to not focus on that. It's okay to feel it through and remember the good times, it can be really hard to let that go. 100%. A couple years ago my bio teacher told me about how overweight/obese men are more likely to create children prone to obesity & weight gain. The genetic material in men's sperm changes depending on his lifestyle, but since us women have our eggs from birth, our only issues (infertility) are from reproductive illnesses/disorders and/or hormonal imbalances which could then be linked to lifestyle. A man's lifestyle will directly affect the quality of his sperm, however the same does not apply …

It's true that not everyone likes flowers/chocolate/travel/etc., so all these other ways he support her are valid, but there are def a couple that just.. no. As someone with mental illness, I wouldn't wanna date a man with mental illness. The vast majority of men in general don't know how to properly deal with emotions, let alone seek diagnosis, keep up with meds/certain responsibilities, or go to therapy. It's hard enough to deal with my own shit on a regular basis, having someone else pile onto that and be constantly grappling with myself regarding whether or not my standards are "fair" is not something I'm looking for. Also younger and don't have kids or anything, but I agree that it would be important to sit your daughter down and have a conversation with her about everything. For some reason, my parents hid a lot of details from their childhood. They grew up under communism and it understandably shaped how they view the world and how they parent, but I never knew until they started telling me stories. I gained a lot of appreciation for my mother when she confessed how my father didn't help at all growing up …

Ehh... I think you're confusing "thanking" and "praising". I'm not saying you need to worship him for buying you flowers, but a smile accompanied with a "thank you" is appropriate. If he doesn't know that you enjoy what he's doing, why would he keep doing it? Naturally, for things like opening doors and paying, you may eventually stop thanking him as often as it should be a given, but since her relationship is already snowballing downwards, giving him some motivation to improve his efforts is he…

I imagine this is reoccurring? How long has he been getting away with putting in minimal effort? When you decide to get into a relationship with a man, it is extremely important to avoid complacency. The moment you tell him he doesn't have to pick you up everytime, or he doesn't have to always hold doors for you, or that he doesn't always have to pay, he's going to take this as he no longer needs to pursue you and put effort into the relationship, and this will happen exponentially fast. If you …

The only way I think it would be acceptable (but definitely not ideal) is to find a way to give him your contact info. I'm not sure how you know this guy, but make it subtle based off the circumstances and get something out of it. For example, if you know him from work or school, you would say something like "can you help with X project after class/work?" You get his contact info, get his help, and that's it. This puts the ball in his court and you don't message him until and if he reaches out. …

Like the other commented said, he's baiting you. Stop replying to his baits, doesn't matter if he's mansplaining, saying something rude, or being "mysterious". Ignoring him is the most powerful way you can address his behaviour. He won't care about any explanation you give him or anything you ask him to do. Ignoring his stupid comments and only replying to what's important, kind and relevant will teach him how it's acceptable to text you. I don't know the nature of your work, but is it absolutel…

I had the same issue, but I can promise it's "temporary". I've found it to be a great tool to help focus on myself and university. I remember constantly craving physical affection from a man and since FDS, it has completely gone away. I think you just need to wait. Wait until you find a HVM, wait until you think you've found your person. It's possible that the financial risks of getting married won't really be there once you find the right person because the circumstances will be better. At this time, I would also recommend trying to work on your financial situation. Being super dependant on your pension could end up hurting you in the long run and regaining your power will take a lot of the stress out of your finances.

Sis, I have, various times. I appreciate you looking out for me, really, but it feels a bit demeaning. Never show your partner FDS. The majority of people will view it as extreme and make wild assumptions based off of a couple posts. Your expectations are not too high. Unless he's paying for everything, you get an allowance, and you're not required to work, expecting you to be the only one cooking/cleaning is ridiculous. It's basic decency to split household chores and cooking responsibilities (it doesn't have to be 50/50 for everything, but splitting tasks would still be necessary). You are baby…

Go with your gut. If he wants to take you out on a date, he should expect himself to plan appropriately. He asked you out a week in advance, so he had plenty of time to figure out a specific time and place, work being hectic is not an excuse. Just say that you made other plans since you didn't hear from him (don't point out the lack of details, it's not your job to teach him). Be polite and open if you're still interested in going on a date with him.

Would highly recommend reading "Why Men Love Bitches"! Being a bitch isn't about being a rude and nasty person, it's about being assertive with your boundaries and standards and respecting yourself. Men just tend hate these types of women (since they're hard to manipulate) so the common 'nickname' they give us is "bitch".

I just started reading FDS content. I read through the handbook, and then I would think back to my old relationships and old problems. I used the search bar to find situations similar to mine and read the advice in the comments. It took me around nine months of reading to start internalizing my worth in a self-beneficial way (not in a pick-me way). You are wasting your time. Very few HVM are dating right now, because they understand that now is a better time to introspect and focus on them and their families. A man who doesn't care about putting others in danger (meeting without PPE and testing beforehand) is likely not HV. If a man doesn't ask for your number/contact info/a date within 3-4 days, you stop responding. The first problem is that you're dating a man over five years older than you. I would really urge you to stay between 3-5 years of your age, for you, probably 3. It's not uncommon for older men to go for younger, as it's easier for them to manipulate us as we tend to be more vulnerable due to inexperience. Some of the issues I'm seeing besides age: - He's taking your shirt off mid convo (??) - He's ignoring you - He told you he doesn't want to be exclusive - He talks to you like a child - He doe…

This is why I find it so hilarious when incel-type men say they can't get women. If this stinky ape of a man can get a partner, I'm reasonably certain that literally anybody can.

This is so stupid. Why is the child crying in his father's presence ?? Is he that absent??? I used to babysit a one year old infant and since the parents were new immigrants and didn't have friends/family nearby, she wasn't socialized and cried a lot when I came. Even then, she eventually settled in and I was able to distract her with food, toys and music. And after a couple sessions, her crying period got shorter and shorter. BUT YOUR OWN DAUGHTER. HOW??

Okay so... Yes. 100%. When I was still going to uni in person, this guy who was taller, bigger, excessively persistent, and did kick boxing would always come up to talk to me and approach me in the classes we had together. Since everything went online, I finally got the courage to block him on insta after he wouldn't stop replying to my stories just to talk to me.

My limited relationship with my father shattered. I have zero respect for him, we get into arguments a lot. He hasn't been working for the last five years (he was the breadwinner, mom was SAHM) and quit looking for a job after the first year. He spends most of his day watching YouTube videos and praying. He refuses to do housework and learn to cook. He often makes sexist remarks saying that back when he was working, my mom wasn't doing "anything." Ergo, he owes her nothing now because the house …

Sis, I mean this in the most well-meaning way, it sounds like you need some external help such as therapy. It's completely normal to have all these feelings after having dealt with someone manipulative, unkind, and who didn't treat you like a priority, however, it's not healthy. If making these posts are therapeutic for you, keep doing them, but I'd really recommend you either seek out professional help or some books to help you along the journey. Some men are trash and that's all there is to it…

To be fair, I'd be disturbed if I saw anybody hitting anyone in public, although if a smaller woman is hitting a bigger man, like you said, there would be absolutely no reason to hit her. I guess the issue is that people who are physically abused are also verbally abused, so telling the man to just "restrain her" isn't likely something he'd feel confident to do. If a stranger stepped in to restrain her, I'd feel that would be appropriate. But this is also such a horribly unrealistic situation. P…

Well, I never said that you can't think about it, but if you're getting hung up over a stranger, that's a problem. It's not healthy to stress about someone you've only met one or two times, that's ridiculous. You should have the emotional stability and social circle to help you feel secure with whatever the situation is with a man you've only met once. Why would you want to be vulnerable with someone you've only met once? When they couldn't give a lesser crap about you? I don't think they've ear…

Similar thing happened to me. For some reason, all but one of my exes loved PDA, while I'm the complete opposite. Anything more than hand-holding and a hug make me uncomfortable, and they also have to be "properly" timed in social settings, if you know what I mean. I used to put up with full on making out and essentially being groped in public, even after expressing my discomfort. Wish I put an end to it sooner 😖

I kinda disagree with this. Self-love in this situation would be to not be stressing about some random ass man you've only met once. You know your value and whether or not he wants to keep pursuing you is irrelevant; you know that he's replaceable and you're not.

I think it's a mixture of not having enough respect for women, not having enough interest, and just being socialized as a typical male. Many men tend to be pretty stingy, hence all the jokes about dads and thermostats, and all the cases where men think they're being asked of too much when asked to do things for their partner. For some reason, men have internalized women becoming more independent as a reason for them to let themselves go and shift their responsibilities to women. That's my take, …

There are so many things I want to accomplish but I end up feeling guilty doing them because it's just procrastination... So then I instead end up wasting time doing even more useless activities that are unfulfilling. I will keep your tips in mind, thanks again!

I'm dealing with this too. I only did it a handful of times, and my partner pressured me into doing it before I was ready. He didn't listen to my feedback and insisted on being a whiney baby about not being able to get me off. Now I have no desire to have it happen again and feel anxious about never receiving pleasure someday from a partner without it. But we'll have to see what happens 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hm, I suppose I don't necessarily disagree, but moreso that FDS isn't perfectly compatible with my future plans. I'm not super career minded and I'd like to be a SAHM some day. FDS has taught me that this can be risky so I'm definitely making sure that if/when I find someone, his expectations are reasonable and he has a high respect for my work. I also plan on getting into real estate after university to secure my financial status early on. I don't have premade sentences, I usually just try to s…

I play the long game. If I see someone who desperately needs FDS, I check in with them first, sometimes I'll use an alternate account not associated with it. I like to ask them how they're doing, get more info on their situations, and make light comments in line with FDS. After a couple messages back and forth, I then like to introduce FDS and tell them that I thought it was extreme at first and that to this day I still don't agree with everything (which is true). Many of them seemed much more r…

I suggest you look at the handbook! Basically anything that would make him feel like he's actually investing in something. I'd say that unless it's super thoughtful and curated for you, it should cost at least $25 for him. Brunch and dinner dates are usually what's recommended, but something related to an activity (bowling, mini golf, going to a zoo, etc.) should also be acceptable. The big no-no's are cheap dates (coffee, tea, "walking" dates), and anything related to alcohol. It's also a bad i…

Maybe the younger generation... My mom is a lot better than many other women, but she still works, cooks, and cleans for my dad (they're divorced and live together 🙄) who's been unemployed for five years. Women will straight up put up with physical and verbal abuse and do everything for their husbands. It's still a train wreck with Eastern European women.

This is actually such a great insight. For some reason, it never occurred to me that setting boundaries or communicating for other reasons could make them feel emasculated. But that makes a ton of sense, especially in regards to how they view coercion. It's sick.

That's the thing... I figured that her asking him about his masturbation habits all the time was because of her insecurities/trust issues, but now that I'm thinking about it, perhaps it was her intuition that suggested she ask? Maybe a mix of both. Either way, there was trust lacking in the relationship, which was for good reason apparently.

I had to exit out of that, it's bothering me to no end... So, yes, she has her own issues to sort out, but if your partner tells you their triggers, and you cannot accommodate, then why are you getting into a relationship with them??? Then, why are you lying to your partner? Why are you masturbating in front of a minor (a criminal offense)?? Why did you keep doing it even after you got caught? Why are you unable to connect the dots on why what you did was wrong? SO many issues here. This man is …

This is why it's so important to make a man wait for sex early on. If he is so sex obsessed that he can't function like a normal adult, then it'll become extremely clear in the early stages of dating. He needs to show you he'll care about you and support you during 'dry spells'.

I don't think there's a long list, but what mainly comes to mind is: Exclusivity, aka she stops talking to other guys Companionship Semi-obligation: when not exclusive, you don't owe him shit. When in a relationship, basic things like responding in a timely manner and making time for each other is expected The opportunity to build physical/sexual intimacy, but remember the 3 months rule!

Here is what I have written down in my notes. I would highly suggest a Pre-Screening call if you haven't done that already :) Pre-Screening Call Questions: What area do you live in? Where did/do you go to school? Where do you work? Are you religious? Do you go to church anywhere? Do you want kids? What are you looking for on the app/site? (They should not be vague with their answer, but you should be) First/Second Date Questions: Anything you missed from the pre-screen section Where do you work?…

I like the way that you're looking at the situation. Honestly, your awareness is much greater than mine would be, and the fact that you're actually considering ending the relationship over this really shows how strong your character is. Without a doubt, these attributes will be very helpful for you down the line, even if you end up with a different person. Let's hope things work out though!

Most of us don't get hit on by men often. There was a thread posted a week or two ago asking how often men randomly come up to us and most people said 3 or less each year. That's not an indication of how attractive you are or how good of a person you are, but rather an indication that you are likely in a heavily populated area with men who don't like to respect women's space. I highly suggest forming relationships where you get more validation from women. So much more genuine and you know that t…

I don't have any advice but I'm really sorry you have to go through this. I can't imagine what it would be like to put so much time into someone for it to start crumbling at the most important point, especially when it's in reach. I think investing your time into therapy or reading done books relevant to the topic would be better than using Tinder. Learning how to overcome these obstacles on your own without distractions from the opposite sex is an invaluable skill. Try developing relationships with the women in your life, try a new hobby, learn some new recipes, find a new way to get active, but avoid Tinder at all costs, especially Tinder. You'll be more at risk of engaging in sexual conversations or sharing explicit pi…

They shouldn't complain anyways because this is literally the bare minimum. There is so much more nuance to a relationship. If the only things they bring to the table is basic hygiene, they need a reality check.

It sounds like you two aren't compatible and you should find someone who can deliver. Thank you so much! I honestly would be taken so aback if a man dared to raise his voice at me, especially on earlier dates. I would like to hope that if that ever happens I'd handle it the way you described. You're so right about people-pleasing and codependency being prisons for women, I'm still in the process of overcoming them. Did you ever do therapy or was it more of a personal journey? And do you have any book recommendations by chance?

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/08/20 11:39 PM

What platforms did you use, if you don't mind me asking? I've been trying haha. Unfortunately my college is very "commuter" style so most people don't seem to be into making friendships. It's been roughh And as for networking, networking events sponsored by the college have all been cancelled, so I'm still in the process of finding alternatives.

I'll definitely have to check out the mentorship opportunities at my college, but I believe most of them are career-related, so I'm not sure if they'll be very helpful for me right now. Most of the advice I need is "practical" like you say, and my circle isn't able to help since none of them have cars or places of their own. So that's my main issue...

I actually haven't been giving men sex in return, which I suppose is one of the good things I'm doing. They'll sometimes get to the point where they take me on dates and pay, so I definitely feel like I still have at least some leverage. The shadowing thing is a great idea, the one issue is that Covid would be a big deterrent, in addition to me not having a set career path for myself yet. That's true. I actually do read books by women and most of the podcasts I listen to are by women as well. The issue is that they're usually very general and as someone who's very anxious, I come up with very specific questions to help ease that anxiety. The internet isn't always reliable unless my question is on a forum of some sort, in which case it can still be somewhat unreliable because there's no relevant context. It's a bit tricky :/

I agree, this is very sketchy. I know that the red pill talks a lot about "hitting the wall" and who's in their prime, but this is just unnatural. If OP wants a man more 'experienced' than her, there really is no reason to go above and age gap of 5 and find someone mature. Older men can be very manipulative towards younger women, so vetting needs to be extra harsh.
/r/RedPillWomen18/08/20 02:35 PM

It's one thing to have standards, and it's another thing to try and mold people to your standards. It just doesn't work and people's words are unreliable. Many men will say almost anything to stay in a relationship.

Don't get into a relationship anticipating things will change. It's extremely unlikely, no matter what they tell you. The way someone is in the beginning of the relationship is usually the best they'll be the entire relationship. Trying to convince someone to adopt your way of life is selfish and unreasonable. You are completely entitled to feeling as attracted to him as he likely is to you. It shouldn't be one sided. There are lots of men out there who will meet your standards, you are young an…

You said he was messaging her and confiding in her when he was "heartbroken" by you. Assuming this is about an argument you guys had during the relationship, this is emotional cheating. It essentially means he's checked out of the relationship and you aren't his priority anymore, hence him not listening to your needs. This in addition to all the other red flags... Him talking to someone a lot younger, him not telling you about that friendship, potential love bombing early on... Girl, dump him! P…

This is why online dating is so annoying... Online dating allows you to be "lazy", and the people you're describing want just that. People who appear more high value aren't on dating apps as much as they don't need to be. They likely don't have as much trouble approaching women in real life. Although that's not to say that there aren't high value people on dating apps. I'm sure many of them are on there because they just don't have as much time to meet and vet people in really life and OLD makes…

Honestly, this would be a huge green flag for me. I also love to take things slow and don't usually kiss a guy until 4-5 dates in. It gives me time to vet him without any distractions. This would especially be a green flag if you plan on withholding sex for the 3-8 months suggested on here, as he's indicating that he's a more 'serious' candidate. In the end, it's up to you and your needs. If you like kissing and want it sooner, then find someone who's up for that. Although, it does seem like he'…

I don't want to tell you what to do, but it sounds like you have your own personal stuff you're still dealing with. Please sort this out before getting into another relationship. Make sure you have healthy relationship standards, because it's really easy to get taken advantage of at this age when you don't know what you deserve but feel "rushed". It's okay to want to settle down early, but you'll end up prolonging it so much more if you don't take care of yourself first and get yourself into a g…

This sounds exactly right. Early on he told me he had trouble finding someone and I was his first "serious" relationship. He probably couldn't replace me and is now desperate to fill the void you were talking about. I mean... I think there are reasons for this. Women eat healthier than men, women are more conscientious health-wise (less likely to go out and more likely to take more precautions if they do), and men are less likely to seek medical help if they have a problem among other things. Of course men disproportionately working more labour jobs is a very large factor, and that's something to consider. Woahh, girl. This needs to slow down. FDS does not promote chasing a guy. Don't ask him out. Don't always initiate text convos. Keep yourself busy so you don't always respond quickly to him. People who are either immigrants or raised by immigrants. I seem to get along better with people with a similar background :) they also seem more likely to have more "traditional" values. They're more into courting rather than hooking up (in my experience at least)

Yup! Sometimes I'm honestly surprised by how ignorant some women are. Two women have tried to set me up with their sons... That's a very realistic concern, and I'm glad you brought it up! It's definitely not meant to be relied on 100%, and it's something that constantly needs to be updated. Your intuition and experience should always be considered with stuff like this. This spreadsheet just helps me take some of the emotion out of it, because I know that for some people with unhealthy attachment styles, it can be difficult to manage. Thanks for the reminder!

Having been in a relationship with various insecure men, I realized that it's just too much of a hassle. If it's something they're actively working on with introspection and/or therapy AND you see improvements, it might be worth pursuing. Otherwise, you're at risk of being led on or having to work overtime to make him feel better.

This breaks my heart. You don't deserve to feel this way. Do you know if he watches porn? Sometimes this could be a reason for why a partner seems less attracted. It's not an excuse, and if this is the case, it needs to be dealt with. A "test" you can try doing is to give him space. If it's possible to move back in with family or with a friend, do so. If not, distance yourself from him as much as possible. Keep yourself busy throughout the day. Pick up a new hobby, try learning a new skill, work…

That's good to hear! Have you guys tried video chatting? Opting for a video chat instead of a text conversation might be a good idea. That way he gets to see your facial expressions and you two will be able connect more. To further respond to your question about flirting, it's a tricky topic. Since men are supposed to be the pursuers, it's not really your job to try and impress him with flirting. He should spend a couple hours each day applying to jobs, improving his LinkedIn profile and resume/cover letter, and doing free online courses to enhance his knowledge/skills, NOT playing videogames and watching movies. This is very broad... Do these conversations that become more 'physical' involve him talking about sex acts? Have you guys met up before? Are you exclusive? If he's overly inappropriate (talking about things beyond kissing) and you guys aren't exclusive yet, I'd consider it a red flag. I've met various "traditional" men that get into inappropriate conversations like this waayyyy too early. It shows where their heads are at. Please be mindful of this! That's a very fair take! I have also noticed that is has evolved slightly, which is why I bring this up. I definitely don't agree with everything that is posted there, hence me being here, but I still find that this sub overexaggerates a lot of the advice given there. FDS discourages using OLD, but for me personally, Hinge has worked the best. Much easier to find higher quality guys, or at least decent human beings. They've been very nice but no chemistry. Otherwise, college is your next best bet for now. Go to as many college sponsored events as possible and talk to people! There are various posts in the FDS wiki that explain HVM! I highly suggest checking it out. FDS suggests making things official at around 6 weeks of dating. This of course has to be initi…

It sounds like you feel responsible for his wellbeing, and you're not! From your post, it appears that you guys aren't even in a relationship yet. He is not your responsibility. It is not your job to cheer him up. If you trust his capabilities as a man and provider, he can deal with everything on his own. You should be pulling back, keeping yourself busy, and letting him deal with this on his own. Don't let him drag you in emotionally, because you'll get hurt. I say to give him space because he …

I think that it's unlikely for a man to be able to do a complete 360° and change his whole character. If he's capable of doing that for a woman, why would he be dwelling in his loser phase in the first place? I do think that men have the capacity to make "light" changes, especially if the woman they're with has high standards and they like the challenge, such as doing chores more often, improving their style, abandoning toxic people, etc. But any major changes in their disposition are likely tem…

Expecting someone to hit the brakes after you say "No" once is completely reasonable. Especially if it was firm. Nobody should have to put up with someone pushing their boundaries. That is not the way to set a good impression on a first date. Please end this relationship!! Nobody should be treating you like that. But it also sounds like you have some serious self development to go through. Constantly being in relationships can sometimes cause you to lose yourself, and you owe it to yourself to fix that. Once you end the relationship, take some time to try new things and find hobbies and interests. Use these to help build yourself up and recover from the relationship. I'd say yes. This usually happens if they don't take relationships seriously or they don't know how to vet properly before exclusivity (meaning they might have unhealthy attachment issues). This actually happened to me recently. I dated a man and later found out he was jumping from relationship to relationship. When he finally came across someone healthy (me!), he realized he wasn't ready and broke up with me. Ditch him or proceed with extreme caution!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/03/20 01:17 AM

Assuming you guys aren't exclusive (not explicitly stated), I'd be worried about the state of the relationship. Men usually decide they want to be exclusive with a women 6 weeks after dating, give or take a week. Since you guys have surpassed this point, I'm worried that he's keeping you around for convenience. What I'd suggest is to keep working on yourself and focus on your life goals, someone who isn't excited to be in a relationship with you really isn't worth your time.
/r/RedPillWomen09/03/20 01:35 PM

That's exactly the right thing to do. Listen to your gut. He shouldn't get the benefit of being able to spend time with you if he's not going to treat you like his first choice.

I think this is worth ending the relationship over. In one of my previous relationships, I was with a man who was a bit chubby (I don't think he was quite overweight) and he told me he went to the gym. Later in the relationship, he almost entirely stopped going to the gym, and despite me having nothing against his body type, I lost respect for him, as I was putting in the work to look and feel good, and he wasn't. Once the respect dropped and the resentment built, my attraction went down and I w…

I've recently discovered that when I'm with a man that I shouldn't be with, I get really jittery and almost start shivering. This is usually before I actually realize something is wrong, as I have a bad habit of romanticizing new men that aren't complete assholes. Paying more attention to this and identifying the feeling quicker had helped he avoid various men that soon showed that had boundary problems or other issues. For example, I was going out with this older man (8 yrs my senior), and I wa…

We sat down together and he told me a bit about his relationships and told me that he never really got a proper break in between them. He then told me we should end the relationship so he can have some time off and 'recover' from him constantly seeking validation from others. I wanted to ask why he couldn't do that while in the relationship but I decided not to. I told him that I respect his self awareness and willingness to change, and then we parted ways.

It definitely does take balance, although I don't see anything wrong with waiting for sex at least until the "I love you"s are said, which I believe usually happens around the 3-6 month mark. In the end, it totally is up to personal preference, but for me, the later the better

This definitely wasn't executed in the best possible manner. Next time (if there is a next time), wait at least a month before sleeping with him, but ideally 3-6 months. When a guy gets sex early from a woman, what usually happens is that he perceives you as "easy". He feels as though he doesn't need to put more effort into the relationship since he got what he wanted. I understand you're upset, but a woman doesn't lose all her value because of her age or looks! That's so shallow and disturbing to me. When something is missing from a relationship, it isn't always physical, it can just be emotional or a combination of the two. I think a bit more context is necessary would be necessary to be able to gauge if you were HV or not, but for starters, a HVW would not put up with a LVM. Additionally, something I noticed is that you seemed to be "mothering" him a bit. Telling him what to do and whatnot. Doing that is simply ineffective, men have to change at their own will and if they don't, you should just move on (or they should already be acting "right"). Like the other commenter said, it is very niche. There definitely are great men out there! I've recently been dating around and have went on multiple dates with all sorts of men. The most useful thing for me had been having high standards. If you participate in online dating, don't be afraid to weed people out for any reason you see fit. Girl, you deserve so much better. If a man can't even spend five minutes writing out a nice text for you on Valentine's Day, how do you expect him to treat you in a relationship? YOU are the prize. You deserve to be treated and you shouldn't have to question whether or not a man cares about you, especially after a few months. The first thing you need to do is to learn to love yourself. You could be the least attractive human being on earth and this would still be the first step. No amount of changing yourself or 'improving' yourself will make you feel better or more attractive if you don't first learn to love what you've been given. I have three suggestions, the first is just making yourself more occupied. If you have less time in between commitments, you'll be far less likely to physically get up and go shopping. Second, is to develop a habit of only going shopping when you need certain pieces. This can mean making a list over the course of a few weeks or months, and then dedicating your time shopping to finding only those items. That way, you are less likely to purchase pieces that you don't need, since you have an establ…

Depending on how bad your winter is (I'm in midwestern Canada), your outfit will change. What I usually do is go for any top, a chunky sweater over that, and jeans, with tights underneath it if it's cold enough. Although note that tights don't work too well under skinny jeans. Over that I'll put an overcoat or other long winter coat. Alternatively, I wear a turtleneck with a cardigan with jeans and a coat again. Jeans can also be switched out for long and warm skirts with tights underneath, or '…

That would be lying then, which I would like to think is no good to add to the relationship.

I guess. After my first relationship, I waited over two years until getting into another one, it just felt a bit 'wrong' to hop back into a relationship so 'soon'. I feel like waiting a bit is the right thing to do. Although I do understand where you're coming from and I appreciate your perspective :)

I talked to them for a week and then went on three dates, that's when we made it official.

What I meant was that I started looking for a relationship early on, after a week. I made it 'official' with someone about a month after that. There was definitely a lead up, although I wish it lasted longer.

Thank you so much! I love all of this. I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to comment this. So many helpful tips :) I'll probably start with embracing uni, cooking more and double the amount I've been working out since I've been slacking a bit haha. Thanks, again!

That's so good to hear! I've been so nervous. I may have to go out of my comfort zone a bit but I'm sure it'll be worth it. Hopefully things works out. Thanks, again!

Thank you!! I'll definitely be doing this :)

Oh yeah, I would only be saving PIV for marriage if anything, so sexual compatibility wouldn't be a complete shot in the dark. Waiting until engagement is something I've thought of, but I definitely have some thinking to do. I appreciate your perspective!

I've definitely considered it. It really does seem like a good middle ground, although that may still take some waiting for my partner. A tad more reasonable though!

Yea, those are fair concerns. I'll try to keep a look out for these. Thank you!

I never meant to make assumptions in regards to there not being men out there willing to wait. It's just that, like many have already mentioned, I have no doubt that those who are willing to wait are less plentiful, especially among the non-religious 'community'. It's definitely something that may take time. I appreciate your perspective, thank you!

I appreciate this, thank you. I'm definitely pro-life, so until I'm in a position to raise a child (I don't think I'd consider adoption) I don't think having sex would be a good idea. I think you brought up lots of good points, especially in regards to sexual compatibility. I will definitely consider all of this. Again, thank you! :)

That's what I was thinking, waiting until commitment. It's just a bit confusing, I guess. To me, marriage was what represented commitment. Although I am aware that there are many couple have been together for decades without a ring, I just feel as though there needs to be some sort of milestone that indicates that it's "okay" to lose my virginity. And perhaps there's supposed to be an element of risk, but it just seems overwhelming. How did you know that you two were committed or wanted to spend…

I'm not sure, but that's also one of the concerns I've faced. I'd like to think that there are some non-religious men out there who are genuinely willing to wait, if not waiting themselves. And I'd like to think I wouldn't mind dating someone religious, but it definitely makes it harder since I'm not in a place in my life right now where I'd like to follow a religion.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
