For the purposes of this sub, it applies to personal relationships a lot more clearly. Chaotic, ineffective people latch on to disciplined, rigid, effective people. Of course male strength and rigidity is the draw for women. It's the same for weak men; they crave leadership, either by overbearing women or strict male bosses/friends. Men here ought to meditate on this.

Oh man. It is so hard to climb out of a nihilistic or relativist worldview. You're so easily exploited and bossed around by people who see things in black and white, who are unwilling to consider alternatives etc. Good luck to everyone who sees this in themselves.

In an attraction context, behave as others hurts you. In a context where expressing your real opinions about things unrelated to the task at hand is of no benefit to you (like talking about politics at work), then behaving like others lets you get your shit done with minimal conflict.

Advice lists are the preferred do-nothing, feel-good pastime for drug addicts who are distraught about their shitty life at 3AM in the morning. When I stopped writing self-help lists to other turds on the internet, my life got way better.

If your bank has online banking, you can probably pay your bill online. You might also be able to set a limit for how much you can spend every month with your credit card. They aren't bad if you limit your spending. Starting out, I used mine exclusively for grocery shopping and paid the balance off in full every month with the cash I would have used for groceries anyway. It's real hard to fuck up if you use it like that. It's all really not that big of a deal. Don't sweat it, just pay close atte…

You're spot on. Now that you understand that, I think it's important to be aware of the most insidious opportunity AND sunk cost, inflation. using this calculator: https://www.bls.gov/data/inflation_calculator.htm You can see how much the value of your dollar declines due to the inflation of currency supply. eg, In the past 10 years, the dollar has effectively lost 20% of its purchasing power. Let's tie that back in to your scenario, where you want to save for a house. While you save, you can exp…

You need another edge besides persistence, trust me. Me and my good friend would shamelessly approach and talk to most eligible-looking women, but had no personality or social awareness to speak of. I don't know how many times I personally saw him get rejected, upwards of 50. Improve yourself and become virtuous, bone a nice lady to make kids (3 or more), make sure the kids don't get brainwashed, work in your community to espouse your values and provide support for the children of less fortunate or virtuous parents. It is exhausting, that is why nobkdy wants to do it. But really, it's all about kids. Adults are mostly already fucked, but kids are programmable and resilient. They are the future.

Women are like children Still this amazes me. I have babysat friend's toddlers a few times. The stupid games they play to outwit you are the SAME ones that women play. They even react the same when you call them out for it - shit eating grin > cute-sounding excuse > blame you > change the subject. It's funny once or twice, but some women abuse the fuck out of it worse than toddlers.

She uses symbols of SMV and social status to evaluate you, not the real thing. The fundament of marketing and manipulation in general. It's worth explaining that EVERYONE (including you, dear TRP reader) relies on limited symbols to evaluate arbitrary scales of value like SMV. People who understand these symbols and can employ them creatively are the people who best affect the people around them. Thanks for the post, quality content here.

Lakoff's a goofy prick, but his method to map source and target domains in metaphor is an indispensible exercise for close reading. I never thought to apply it to relationship dynamics, but it's exactly what you have to be able to do in order to maintain your frame. Great post wankalot.

There ain't much else. Paying attention covers basically everything. If you can manage to stay present and aware of what's happening around and in you, then everything else - relationships, principles, goals, motivations, spirituality, 'true desires,' etc - takes shape. "There must be more" is a tempting curse. I don't care if it sounds stupid and simple, it's the truth.

Hey, thanks for reading. I'm more of a solitary guy so I've tended toward a tight social circle... a handful of close friends with whom my "unfiltered self" jives for whatever reason; we can tell good stories to each other, check in often and make dinner or go on a hike, share our struggles and help each other out, etc. Everyone else I talk to regularly is either a work or hobby friend, or family, with varying degrees of intimacy. A year long monk mode was the best thing I ever did for myself. It started out as a frustrated 'I have no idea how to get laid and when I do things go sour FAST so I may as well stop trying' kind of deal. So, I focused almost completely on improvement. An overlooked habit for good sleep hygiene is to wake up and get out of bed at the same time every day, even if you have a late night. Your body adjusts and you eventually get tired around the same time every night (assuming you have other good habits like no stimulants late in the day, minimal artificial light at night, adequate exercise etc.)

Give the reader an easy conceptual system to make decisions from c. Keep the reader from making decisions that are bad for him wrt women. Thanks NRS. Way to use your own language to describe what amounts to 'mindfulness.' Terms like that are loaded; people have heard the term, and while they probably don't understand on an experience level what it refers to, they still think they know what it means and avoid doing it, opting instead for the satisfaction of recognition. "Oh yeah, I've heard of that, it's just..." Nice rhetoric, man; making people slow down.

One thing I hate about sales is that you have to tell the same story over and over and over and over, with minor edits depending on the audience. Even you've done it in this post... You restate almost every point three to four times. I get that this is how sales work and it's an effective way to leave an impression on people, but I cannot get past the reality of the experience. Isn't it uninteresting? Do you actually enjoy telling the story, or enjoy re-selling to yourself the reality of sales?

do you feel like dark triad is something a man should develop? If you read enough TRP literature, you will automatically find yourself on the precipice of becoming dark triad. It's not something you develop in yourself, so much as something you learn to embrace. In response to the "amorality" of sexual strategy, it is a short step to think about all moral prescriptions as existing on a descriptive, amoral continuum. Along with this, you begin to see the transactional nature of all relationships,…

Good observation OP, it highlights the importance of inner game, or better put, doing whatever suits you at the moment. Showing up and doing the thing regularly is 99% of the process. Extra theorizing, planning, goal setting etc. contribute very little that can't be plainly understood as a result of just working on it or asking teachers. In fact these often become procrastination or avoidance mechanisms for me. This applies everywhere; lifting, game, work, hobbies, you name it. All you really have to do is show up, put in focused work, find good teachers and then wait.

Ahhh yes, TRP is finally reaching the stage where we will have discussions about the succesful practice of amoral worldviews. Imo a succesful (for the user) implementation of 'amorality' mostly hinges on accurate expected value analysis. Consequences are all that matter, if anything matters al all. The reason they don't commit is a few fold: the state has promised to bail women out when their marriages fail, and the state has been compelled to streamline this process/lower the failure criteria. There is an institutionalized ideology that trains women's inclination to anxiety onto men as the source of said anxiety. A…

You have to earn pride through the actions you take to express sexuality. That's why any populist sexual pride movement is stupid, because people just show up uncontested, welcomed even, and declare 'victory.' Retarded. There is no pride in showing up to an overblown picnic to declare something about your sex drive to imagined aggressors.

Yes, because that's the typical range when girls reached sexual maturity. The range is slowly being shifted younger; an ever increasing percentage ( iirc in some regions it's roughly 15% as opposed to <5% historically) of girls begin menstruation (and breast development, adult fat deposition...) by the time they're 10.

Interesting, my experience is similar. One ex is now a full on dyke. Most of the women I've been with are athletic and not classically feminine, half are 'bi.' I've approached so many girls who turned out to be lesbian/bi that I almost expect it now.

Tapered thigh shorts are fucking ugly. They are just as bad as capris in that they offer no discernible shape. Ugly near skin-tight abominations of fashion that belong on women. I don't care if they are trendy or help you get laid, they are straight up faggy. Even baggy 90s style shorts are more interesting. At least those are useful and offer better airflow. It's a neologism derived from the term 'cuckold.' Basically apply the non-fetish concept of a cuckold as a metaphor for betas/orbiters, or, more generally, for easily manipulated schmucks who give up their worth for nothing and don't effectively defend themselves from people who would take from them. Great word, honestly.

Libido is the secret to power over you. That this sub exists, that women automatically know how to leverage sex for commitment, that porn (visual sexuality in general ie. sexualized advertisements and tv shows) is so huge... These should all be signals about the power of libido. Think about the act of watching porn in red pill terms: you sit comfortably, load up some videos or whatever, and then drop your own frame. It all makes sense, but this ought to be stressed: the type of woman who will 'work' for the relationship that you've described is RARE. You're asking for us to find women who are intelligent and strong willed enough to understand (and act on, against biology and immense cultural pressure) the value of long term thinking. The issue was how everyone focused on the end result of self esteem. The logic was, "if self esteem is so important, then why don't we make all children feel good about themselves. I rewrote the above post for clarity. And I'm not arguing with you here, I'm mostly fleshing things out for myself... We probably agree on most of this. Yeah, eternal comfort is a motivation used to offset a Christian's suffering, but I think it's beside the point. Christianity doesn't make people crave perpetual comfort and happiness; that motivation is fundamental to human experience. Christianity is just a system that convinces people to delay their natural urge for comfort/happiness for a (h…

Christianity creates a comfort and happiness focused society No. Christianity produces a highly productive, naive, fear/shame focused society. It always has. Comfort is now the focus because Christianity lost its grip and cold realists (women, psychopathic men) took maximum advantage. In a way, comfort and happiness is an intermediate religion to take Christianity's place; we worship at the altar of television, we take sacrament of oreos.

They're not as clever as you think. A huge sticking point. We only think they "understand what they're doing" because we, as men, can see the system of a girl's behavior. Seeing this, we assume that women must also see and understand the system, because how/why the fuck else could somebody behave in such a (seemingly) systematic way if they weren't aware of it? Thus the thinking man games himself, classic male solipsism.

When you consistently behave like a pussy, your 'sweet,' caring woman slowly becomes a raging narcissist cunt, bent on emasculating and using you.

It's all very simple, the statemet is no-lose. She still has the option for chad open, AND she sets a trap for the nice guy who's dumb enough to step in it. All of her bases are covered at literally no risk.

I recently felt that snap too, and I'm very grateful for it. I attract these kinds of narcissistic women for some reason, they always first pursue me and charm the fuck out of me. It's great for a couple weeks, then the weird shit starts. Very subtle bossiness eases in. Flakiness. No regard for my frame etc. To be honest, I'm kind of a pussy and my mistakes compound when things turn south, but this time she was pulling the usual routine and I finally listened to my gut (I was PISSED) and said, y…

I see what you mean, it misses the point though. Inexperience and/or stupidity have a lot to do with it, fundamentally. Yeah we can run in linguistic circles all day, "the inexperienced are naturally desperate" etc. But: the fact is, everybodyhere has been conned by these kinds of people at some point, possibly multiple times. That's part of the growth process. Your neat-sounding truism sounds like something a wannabe guru would say to impress upon people that he's invulnerable to these kinds of…

I will say, intelligent women who embrace their agency are terrifying manipulative masterminds, they choose who gets to use them as an object, and they know it. I've been drawn in by these people and they are so good at entrancing and making you feel up and down, mystified and addicted. But there is no quicker way to find out the holes in your game than to get involved and used by one of these people, so they aren't all bad.

Excellent post OP, a realistic, simple solution to all of our problems. My own spin: THIS is the plight of modern society: Men don't have to fucking work. Think of all the soft-palmed, weak-willed pussies you knew in college (hint: most guys, I was one myself). None of them have had to struggle physically, they don't know what it's like to work more than their body thinks it wants to. The ability to do that is honestly the source of everything we look for at trp.. Think about blue collar men who…

Thanks. I'll try again, but at this point my thoughts are negative on the making a move deal (expecting negative result etc), and I'm not great at breaking out of it. It's like oneitis, I don't want to "fuck it up," and my body takes a while to tell me wtf to do so I end up bitching out. Question for you, when you escalate with a girl, what is your experience? Are you already excited to escalate, like you're feeling horny, which is why you do it? Or do you do it when you're feeling normal, confi…

Huh. So that's what's going on. There is a girl who has been giving me constant attention, inviting me to her place, giving me gifts and making me dinner, but she is VERY careful not to respond to my half-hearted sexual advances(Low T, very low libido). It fucks with me a lot, and completely kills my vibe when I finally get excited. Now that I know what the deal is, I'll just ignore her and go back to my hobbies for which I actually have passion. Thanks, great FR man.

A more fitting analogy: a buzz from drinking a couple beers ends, does that mean that you'll never drink again? Well, why not, esepcially when a headache and feeling ill often follow the buzz? It's not worth it.

It's amazing. Girls will even approach me, lots of ioi's and ask for my number or want to "hang out." I'll set up plans in a short text or two, and then they play this weird push-pull game where they act excited to hang out but then in person are completely stone faced, unreactive and uninterested in whatever I'm about, and they shit test CONSTANTLY, especially if one of their friends is near by. As one of these types of losers, the answer to the question is "hardly ever." It's the most pathetically selfish way to be, buried in your thoughts and ignorant of the people around you. But, it's also comfortable: low risk, low reward that is easy to supplement with distractions.

I can chime in on the sexual urges bit. NRS doesn't mean control of urges in a masturbation sense. He means it in the "aware of and able to act on re:actual women" sense. I was as blue as they come, and so badly whipped by my first girlfriend that she basically controlled my sexuality. I let her choose when we'd have sex: if I got horny and made a move, she'd shut me down 95% of the time. After a year or so of this business, I basically came to ignore my sexuality. Eg. /r/TheRedPill27/01/16 08:33 AM

Yep. Attraction is irrational. Ie. it has nothing to do with thinking. It evolved before reason existed. Because most women (people in general) are not rationally aware of their irrational experience, their attempts to describe them are pointless. There's also the pride motivation... anti-slut defense for her reputation with other women, anti-loser defense for succesful selection of dudes to bone. Tl;dr watch what they do, not what they say.
/r/TheRedPill21/01/16 12:46 AM

Yeah, we can rationalize (that is, think) about why we have particular experiences, but I meant that the experiences themselves are irrational; you don't have to think to have them. In fact, the more you think about them (with language), the less you will experience them. Giving less fucks, for me, is giving less mind to rationality when it comes to interacting with women. Leaving the thoughts behind, acting a fool and seeing what happens will teach you more in a day than 3 weeks of intense thin…

Good observstions. Imo, 'chameleonism' ultimately comes from two things: fear/uncertainty and the misunderstanding that social interactions ONLY work according to laws. On top of being cowardly/no frame, the chameleon is uncreative. His only creative act in the group is to cash in on inside jokes or the topic at hand. Booooring. But also very sad. The Chameleon doesn't know how to trust his instincts, he censors himself and ignores his own creativity. All this to the point that his creative thou…

Quiet or shy game is trippy when you're getting over being an incel/recluse. You think to yourself, "there's no fucking way this chick is into me, I haven't said shit for the past 10 minutes." But sure enough, the IOI's are there, you get the digits, a date is easy to set up. Sometimes girls even offer their number unsolicited, or try to set the date themselves. More realistic explanations for your decreasing libido, your all-round laziness, your lack of get up and go, can be found in your sedentary lifestyle, because, plain and simply, men have always masturbated. It really depends, man. I have an active life, eat a strict diet, have a couple hobbies that keep me busy, and cool friends. But I still have shit for libido, especially when I porn/masturbate often. One thing I've noticed, if the person asking those kinds of questions does not respect you, insincere answers do not work as well. Back before TRP, I would only sometimes give my ex-gf snarky answers to shit test-questions. Hey Milo, thanks for being awesome. I recently read an article from an alt-right publication about women on the front lines. In the case of women on the front lines, the author's idea is that ground infantry is becoming less important to our overall military strategy, so now women are allow…

You can generalize this advice. Don't take feedback on your efforts too seriously from anyone except the people you trust to know what the fuck they're talking about. Dudes in the military get raped by "dependapotamuses," women who use them for free healthcare, free pad to fuck in and a paycheck for her and the kids while dude's deployed.
