I don't really follow celebs much, but Tom Holland actually seems pretty nice, smart and caring. Am I wrong there?

In summary: "good riddance, too bad it took so long to come to this realisation". Excuse typos/formatting, on mobile. If I can complain just a little... you used the quotation formatting on all the things you wrote (that aren't quotes), which makes it really confusing to read.

Yo, don't equate romance novels with romcoms. There is some hugely toxic shit in romcoms. If she doesn't like you, try harder? I'd she says no, follow her home? If you can't communicate, bribe her with things? Yeah no thanks.

Also, communication. I don't expect a guy to read my mind, but I do expect him to listen to my words. I don't have a "detailed instructions" fetish, I'm talking for a reason. Communication is the key to a successful relationship in more than one way.

Im not sure it's always been that was. It's been shitty, but I'm not sure it's always been quite this shitty. That said, I've been happy with 1 person for half a decade now, so I'm not even directly in the dating scene anymore.

Uhm, no. Their job isn't maintenance. I don't require anyone to maintain me. It we're going to stretch the analogy, I'm looking for a nice chair to compliment the table, which also function by itself.

Husband and I split the housekeeping roughly down the middle, and we thank eachother for banal stuff all the time. "Thanks for cooking, it was great!" or "thanks for the clean socks" or "the windows look really clean!" Etc. Etc. It takes no effort and feels great to hear. You can thank people for doing basic stuff, that's fine. The problem starts to arise when you demand to be thanked for it, that's a huge red flag. And bonus red flags for doing a shit job infrequently and still expecting thanks…

My friends are my friends because I like them. There's a pretty decent chance their friends will be people I like too, but that's not automatic. I mean, I'm perfectly willing to meet their date/partner/spouse, and even assume that they're a decent person. But if that turns out to be wrong, they become a sort of vestigial partner: present, but not meant to be interacted with.

Not entirely sure if these are international brands, but "TIW defense spray" is what I've got. X-marker is another one. But these are sold in Europe, I don't know if they exist in Canada.

Self defense spray doesn't hurt and it's harmless. It's like a form of paint that is completely incapable of hurting anyone. But it's also extremely hard to assault someone with a face full of sticky paint, and IDing them is going to be super easy.

The finances are simple. Deposit all (his and hers) income into a shared account. Pay everything from that account, and split 90% of what's left over his and her private accounts. Problem solved, and very equitably. Both are now recieving half the mutual income to do with as they please (like say, starting a bug-out fund) The mutual dislike is a far less easy to fix.

Since any self defence tool is illegal in my country PSA: even in really strict countries like the Netherlands and the UK, defence spay/marker spray is full legal. But do check for yourself in your native language, because I am not a lawyer, and I'm definitely a lawyer where you live.

I delayed having kids because I didn't meet someone I'd be ok with risking 18 years minimum on. I have one of those, and he meets the hard requirement of "also doesn't want kids". They're not mutually exclusive, but it's pretty hard to find a guy who doesn't only SAY they don't want kids, but actually doesn't.

I don't watch women's sports because I don't watch any sports and the sports I do are boring as a spectator. This is why every couple needs three bank accounts. His, Hers and Theirs. And he doesn't get to touch or see hers, and vice versa. How the fill each of those accounts can be worked out later, but everyone absolutely needs them. I have seen videos where men wear those electric pregnancy simulators, Having worn that as a woman, they it's very much different. Those things are just muscle stimulators, like those home-shopping ab-shocker things. It feels nothing like a period cramp, apart from being in the same general area. Heh, this reminds me of when husband heard I lost my grandfather's pocket knife when my purse was stolen. So he custom ordered a knife just like it, and had it specially engraved by the (very personal) sweetest thing my grandpa ever said. And then he kept it secret for 4 months, discouraging me from buying a replacement knife for purely practical reasons. 4 months of "Ohhh, we'll look at that later" and "we really should check if that's a good brand".

An LVM will ask if you were sure it was him, tell you he was drunk and he ever does that and you should take it as a compliment. If you know nothing at all, then "men going their own way" sounds like it what I suggested above, while "female dating strategy" sounds like some kind of shifty pickup artist thing. Like many things, the idea sounds great and empowering. You go man, live your best life, be happy with yourself and don't rely on others for your worth. Self-actualize and don't run from your emotions but embrace them. Great advice for anyone, male or female. But in actuality, it just comes down to misogyny and sexism from sad and pathetic people who think that someone is to blame for their own private failings as a person

This may be true under some circumstances, but you also shouldn't immediately dump someone the moment they lose their job. If her long term partner is unemployed due to temporary sickness or whatever, I totally disagree with getting rid of them. If he's her new date and unemployed because he'd rather sit at home and play videogames, I fully support lifting him up, right out the bedroom window. There are plenty of situations this is a good behaviour, and plenty of situations where she needs to GT…

It's not impossible. My housework went down like 40% when I moved in with my now-husband. There are many reasons someone can be obese or have extra weight on them and it doesn't automatically equal a personality flaw. Considering I live in one of the many countries where both diet advice and therapy (both for food, and for mental health) fall under our free healthcare, I tend to disagree. If you're over 30 and obese, then that's basically saying you don't care enough to fix it. And while that not-caring may be caused by external factors, the vast majority of those factor are also red…

A spontaneous reversal is when the cut ducts heal again (or the doctor cut the wrong bit of tissue to start with). This is pretty much always clear within months, and that's why you should always go back to get a sperm count.

Pregnancy rates after reversal range from 30-90%. For anyone considering this, be aware the numbers drop sharply the longer the vasectomy has been. I have a same size of 1 male vasectomy in the household, but he was in a fair bit of pain of three days, and in discomfort for the rest of the week. The big advantage of being a 25+ year old woman compared to an 18 year old woman is that 25 year old men are slightly more likely to behave as if they're actually mature functioning people.
