Also, if he’s past 25 and isn’t good at sex, he’s not going to suddenly have a revelation and become a good lover.

Straight for the jugular. 😂

Whew. Jesus. I'm fairly sure a friend of mine keeps getting ghosted by women, because he's bad at sex.
[–]likethekeyonthekeybdFDS Newbie14 points15 points16 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
I may or may not have texted a guy everything wrong with our encounter once. He did not reply. But I hope some woman somewhere is someday more satisfied than I was.
[–]Deep-BlackberryFDS Newbie5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
I have a feeling you aren't the only person who has done this. My best friend definitely did this once in her early 20s, her words, "he doesn't take direction". My male "friend" as he puts it hasn't had sex as often, which is why he thinks he's bad at sex. I'm just thinking well..that would explain the relationships only lasting 3 months.
I do think people can learn, often times though, its their unwillingness to want to learn.
[–]likethekeyonthekeybdFDS Newbie3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
YES! I mean, how hard is it to look this shit up. I actually looked up videos on how to pleasure females better so I could give better direction and it was hella easy to find them. Some even being on youtube.
The big trend I've noticed is that foreplay goes down significantly for the woman over time. The girl has to do a ton of work to get the guy in the mood or give him some oral before PIV, but he just barely touches her back. In the beginning the guy will feel or play with her while they are getting stimulation but eventually they just get selfish and just enjoy what's being done to them.

I think a lot of people don’t know they are bad at it because most people try to pretend like it’s working than being like no hun. Do this...
Fake it till u make it don’t work long term.

You need to relax, you are LITERALLY assuming things. I've been friends with him for years. He brought up his sex life to me, I didn't ask him. I have MANY friends not just him. And coming at me acting high and mighty isn't doing anything. Not sure what you were trying to achieve this time. I ignored you the first time, now I'm blocking you.

And really, men (because you do all lurk here), the only lesson is: "communicate".
You don't have to be mindreaders, but if we're both going to have fun, there needs to be communication. Tell us what you like, and ask us what we like.
It's super fucking simple.
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
So how's he supposed to be good at it?
[–]ThatsWhat__I__SaidFDS Apprentice21 points22 points23 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
If there's any hope whatsoever, he will have to let go of his ego and learn to take instruction. An extremely rare occurrence in my experience.

I think sex is one of those things a person either has a feel for, or they don’t. You have to be able to pay attention and read your partner. To be invested in their pleasure. It’s physical and mental. Some men never get it. Some men just don’t care.

I've only met women who have continued to grow as people later in life
[–]prowlingsFDS Newbie44 points45 points46 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
This. I am around 25 and I see a lot of room for growth for myself. However, guys around my age or a little older, their egos are too big to entertain this idea! They see growth as career growth, financial growth, physical (muscle) growth, maybe even intellectual growth.
But character-wise? As people? Most of them are done growing. It's quite unfortunate.
[–]sellingoutstradiumsFDS Newbie2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
how does one grow character-wise? sometimes i feel like an immature 24 y.o woman. i mean, i feel myself growing but not at the rate i'd prefer. before the virus i was planning on going to meetups and classes to meet more people and find out what i like in others and try to either replicate that or know what i want in friends and partners. i just feel like i have no personality i suppose. maybe not so much that but i have a hard time letting my personality show because of the past. general social anxiety that has lessened with age and experience but is still there and i don't want it to set in for the rest of my life.

Awareness and contemplating change are the first steps.
[–]circescircusRuthless Strategist134 points135 points136 points 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
True. Even before age 25, people don't typically do a 180.
I liken the human brain developing by age 25 to baking a cake. The years leading up to 25 are the last few minutes when you bake a cake, when you insert a toothpick in the cake and realize it's not done yet. So you leave it in the oven for 5-10 more minutes, and then it's done. It's not like the brain does so much development, and changes so much, that you shop for the groceries, mix the wet and dry, bake the cake from the beginning. That level of brain development is genetic and/or established before age 5.
The human brain doesn't FINISH developing by 25, you don't grow a new brain at 25. Or at any age.

I’m having to help my 20 year old boyfriend learn how to get his work done, but that’s more of a conditioned thing we’re working on. I’m okay with it cause I love him, and he’s been helping me realize some issues I need to work on with how I let my family treat me. There’s a difference between helping eachother be better people and being a caretaker.
[–]manifestingdreams2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
THIS, I swear if your relationship is about being perfect itll always fail, but helping improve each other is super important
[–]VegitarianPineappleFDS Newbie2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is why I'm grateful for my husband. He is continually open to growth and learning new things, and he's been that way since before we got married. It's who he is. He genuinely wants to learn and improve upon himself.

Also explains why so many scrotes strictly go for women of 25 years and under, despite being older and way older themselves. They are attracted to underdevelopment and can usually bullshit and convince young women to put trust in them and risk so much with no reward. 23 and 26 year olds don't differ much from each other in physical appearance, but the mental development differences, especially in conscious decision making unclouded by hormones and emotions can be stark as night and day. So much so, that I'd be all for making 25 the new age of consent if one of the partners is at least few years older and taking advantage of their partner's undercooked frontal lobe. That's just wrong in so many ways.

And then once the younger woman BECOMES 25 and older and starts to recognize the B.S., the “man child” then drops her or GETS dropped and then moves on to the next victim, Aka “younger prey!” 🦁

I’m so sorry u had to go through that. It kinda reminds me of me at 19 - one night, my brother in law decided to “try me” that night, see how far I would go. I was heavily sheltered by my Mom, still hadn’t kissed a guy ever yet, and he knew that. He picked me up from my community college that night, touched my navel many times, said it looked sexy, asked me about if I had any sexual fantasies, Gave me weird sexual compliments - I was so confused because before this he was like a good big brother. I told my dad the next day, and he asked me if i wanted him to talk to brother in le about it, but I begged no because I still wanted to be close to my sister and my little niece and nephew at the time...but Dad knew that I would say that and took advantage of my naivety - he could have confronted him anyway but he decided not to be a “man” and never did...
...10 years of awkwardness passed and i finally told my sister since she was talking bad about my fiancée. She blamed me, and when Dad found out he blamed me for ruining everything, she said “it will NEVER be the same!” Dad said I needed to fix things. This was right before my wedding BTW. My brother in law of course denied it, yada yada....
...my wedding was HORRIBLY AWKWARD, awkwardness happened for a few more years until it was swept under the rug, never resolved...
...during my years of silence, I thought that I shouldn’t have been so naive to let him do that stuff to me, but now i realize that 19 is still VERY, VERY YOUNG and you still are new to the “adult world,” so at that age you’re still very vulnerable to men’s games, and those bastards KNOW THAT.
...in the end, it’s always the young lady or woman who’s “blamed.” This society is so shameful. 🤦♀️

"Just sounds like a LVM with regret".
This is such an important point. I used to fall for men who considered themselves "late bloomers", who had "just started" growing. 🙄

I dated an 18 year old and he was a great person. Upon meeting his parents I understood why. I also recently dated a 25 year old who's a shithead. It's not really a matter of age. You can tell that someone's gonna be an absolute prick even when they're young teenagers.
