Check out The Tools by Barry Michels and Phil Stutz. I'll explain briefly. You should really pick up the book though. They cut right to the point without the bullshit. The chapter on "The Shadow" is particularly relevant to what you're talking about.

If you don't go to a party school you're basically playing for "let's hang out" and then later "let's hang out and watch a movie"...good times. In any case, if you don't fear women and have no fear of rejection you just need to be aggressive and cut out bullshit. Girls will bullshit you to death with stories about their inconsequential lives (and life doesn't get much more inconsequential than college). College girls are flaky as shit too, so play the numbers game and you'll be fine. If you do g…

You shouldn't pursue friendships with the goal of using said friends to get girls. It isn't a real friendship and even if it was, guys don't get each other laid.

In addition, women often say they “want to go out (on the town) so they can get to know me,” which is contradictory. Spending time with me in my apartment will show them more about who I am than cavorting about town. That made me laugh pretty hard. Accurate.

Who even knows if this ex exists. If he had broken up with her, why does he care who she's going out with now? If she broke up with him, why does she have any conflict? Odd. Be real with her. In a matter of fact way, tell her if she still has a thing with her ex she can have him. You need to move on with your life, meet other people, and live. Once the threat of the removal of your attention is there, she'll come around. If she doesn't, you'd be spinning your wheels with this ex issue for the re…

Check out Mode One by Alan Currie. Cool book. Having done this a few times myself, its very intimidating to put yourself out there so much at first. If you're going to do this here's my advice: -You can say you think they're attractive, but don't overdue it. Say it in a objective manner. -Maintain eye contact the whole time. HUGE. -Don't leave it as a question when you ask her. Make it a statement, "Let's get food sometime" is better than "would you like to get food sometime".

Move on. I've had a girl pull that "I like you so much I'm afraid of it," bullshit on me before. It's unoriginal and a manipulative way of rejecting someone while giving them an out for their ego. In the future I wouldn't tell a girl she was perfect for anything. I wouldn't be rude, but I'd take the attitude of "yeah...I don't have time for this overly dramatic bullshit". She might (or might not) come around.

It's up to you. People care less than you would think and it isn't that uncommon to be 18 and a virgin. You're probably going to lose it at some point soon and your reaction will be, "that's what everyone was making a big deal about?".

Don't assume it's going to be a terrible experience. Your reaction is probably going to be, "That's what everyone was making a big deal about?" The media pumps a lot of contradicting information out about first sexual experiences. There's only two ways the first time having sex is portrayed in the media: something magical and special (typically in entertainment designed for women), or completely embarrassing and pathetic (gross out comedies, American Pie, male targeted films and tv shows). Reali…

Don't feel pressured to do anything you don't want to do. It's your life, you run the show. Truthfully, who cares what some guy you don't know on an internet forums views are on sex/girls/relationships/etc? Half of these "field reports," are complete lies anyways. At the same time, don't buy into the myth that sex is so so so important. You probably don't need a "mentor". It's simple, you stick your erect penis into her (hopefully) willing vagina. Nature takes over. Not a big deal. There doesn't…

"Alright, let's go have sex." If a girl is truly willing to have sex with someone she just met at a bar or club, she isn't going to be offended by much. Wouldn't worry about being a sleaze. I don't have a ton of same night lays (I tend to think their prevalence is exaggerated), but when I have it's usually when I was just acting like it was a forgone conclusion. It happened, it's over, put it behind you. You can spend your entire life thinking about what could've would've should've been. You never know when you might run into her again (I went to a big state school with buses, you see the same people fairly often if your schedules are close enough).

Stop treating her like a friend and like any other girl off the street you have a romantic interest in. A lot of guys make the mistake of trying to have it both ways- they want a shot at the romantic side without risking the "friendship" (is it really a true friendship if you want to get with the girl)? You really need to be willing to not be her friend anymore if she sticks to her guns about seeing you as a "brother", which is also bullshit since she almost certainly knows you like her. Your od…

Move on. If it was meant to have worked she wouldn't have gone so cold on you all of a sudden. You'll never know why she went so cold so quick, but it probably isn't your fault. Human beings have all type of mental baggage that we carry that isn't logical. Recognize that you are idealizing this girl to be a bigger deal than she really is (thus the "HB10" rating). You may be projecting qualities onto her that she doesn't really possess. Also, do you really want to continue pursuing someone who tr…

HookingUpSmart wrote about this (I can't find the post since the blog is now essentially recipes)- women tend to project what they find attractive in men on to how men act, and men do the same thing. Example: women think that playing hard to get makes men interested, and men tend to think women are most attracted to looks. The truth is the exact opposite, women want "hard to get men," and men want beautiful women.

It's one of those things you gotta take the good with the bad on. A relationship you're with one person and sacrifice hooking up with other people, but they do the same for you. Casual hookups with different girls (obvious perks), but you have to accept they are similar to you in how they live their lives. I'm not saying what you're feeling is good or bad; it's a feeling. You have to decide what you can live with and what you can't.

Maybe it is a culture thing (I'm from New Jersey, USA). You should be going out to enjoy some good food and talk to each other. What are you gonna do, turn your head the entire time? As for kino, you don't need to be pawwing at somebody for an entire meal. If you have some wild plan to fingerblast her under the table, then why are you even going out to dinner in the first place? Be happy if you get a rejection, it means you took your shot and forced her to make a decision. If the decision isn't in your favor, good you now know you and her wouldn't work. If you're getting ignored, then you need to be more forward and direct. Also, bars and nightclubs are horrendous for meeting women (especially if you want a LTR). As for feeling awkward, realize that most of them will just reject you because you're a random guy in a bar. It's a ridiculous reason, so let them feel awkward…

I'd just say keep your expectations in check. These forums can give the impression that everyone is getting laid the same night from going to bars. I think most of these claims are either false, heavily exaggerated, or rare when taken in comparison to the vast numbers of women being approached in bars by similar guys. The risk here is that when you aren't being "successful," in the way people on these types of forums define as success, your self esteem will start to take a beating. No one wants …

Write back "You haven't seen desperation yet bitch." But seriously, resist the urge to write stuff like that. If this is the type of girl who is going to pull shit like this to guys who are just trying to make the fact that they like them clear, would you really want to be with her? What he said pretty much. My only other advice would be to accelerate this process is to be honest. Thus why I think a lot of these bootcamps are scams. They charge thousands of dollars with promises of being able to attract pornstar and movie quality girls, then when things don't work for you- claim you need to work more on your "inner game"...it couldn't possibly be the "system," or "method". Keep it simple. "Hi XXXX it's XXXX from XXXX last night. Give me a call back, my number is XXX-XXX-XXXX. Talk to you soon. Bye." Chances are she'll call right back or text you. If your intentions are obvious, why not just put them out there? These girls are at this bar to either soak up attention from guys (the majority), meet a guy, or have a boyfriend already. Best way to communicate your intentions is to communicate your intentions. Go up to a girl and first words out of your mouth say you want to get together sometime. Just do it and stop caring what she thinks about you. If she's rejecting that many men, maybe there is something wrong with HER. If she was so fed up of guys hitting on her, she would leave the bar. I personally don't try to get over on other guys unless they're asking for it. A guy who goes up to a girl and is doing the typical, "Hey how are you? I never get why guys go nuts over this stuff. Even in high school when some girls I was friends with would do it for us, its not like they're making out with me. I typically handle it (and girls sexually dancing with each other when you're out as a group) by being very sarcastic, "YEAH BRO, NOTHIN HOTTER THAN TWO BABES MAKIN OUT. HIGH SCHOOL IS AWESOME." You really need to befriend the friends if you want to avoid getting cock blocked in these spots. No need to go over the top with flattery, but little things go a long way ("I mean, you guys are all attractive girls, blah blah blah."). The hardest part of this is putting your ego to the side. Those girls were probably predisposed to eventually cock blocking you when you came up. I go completely the other way- I like avoiding any movie with a romantic/sexual component. I think Tucker Max wrote about this (he's an idiot, but I like this advice). Two movies I remember watching with a girl to positive outcomes were Goodfellas and Donnie Darko. There's enough pressure on a date without having to watch some idealized version of romance.

I agree with him for the most part. I've been pretty much going completely direct for about a month and a half now. I waste a lot less time, and its easier to move on from rejections. I didn't mean to come across as saying this to exact some type of egotistical revenge. Don't do that, you'll look petty and weak. A lot of advice here is good so I'll be quick. You're too attached to your ego (this is the idea of "you need to not give a fuck"). You can't flick a switch and stop giving a fuck. Believe me, I tried for years. Here's a practical thing you can do to start building yourself up- Exercise: start telling women the truth, always. Only thing I would suggest for a similar case (hot girl who is truly confident, knows how to talk to men, etc.) is to put her in her place a little bit. From book I was skimming in book store the other day (about eye contact, it was mentioned in another thread. Biggest advice for freshmen in college: if you put yourself out there socially, approach girls, and maintain relationships with girls on your floor (meaning being a fun guy who stays in the loop) you will develop on a basic level all the skills you're asking about here. Time it really stuck out to me was at this club in NYC I went to with my friend back in December. Feigning interest in a girl just because you want to fuck her more attractive friends is manipulative and shitty. Thus why situational openers aren't the best in my opinion. On some basic level, you don't really give a shit and there's a good chance the person you're talking to doesn't give a shit. You and the person aren't really communicating. Be more direct. Tell her you think she's attractive and you want to (whatever you want) with her. I wouldn't anticipate rejection but if she does say something like this, be honest. You clearly don't want her as a platonic friend. Good question. I look at it like this- you're either physically attracted to someone or you're not. You can't really help this. You recognize she's hot, but you also recognize that if she doesn't have the same attraction/intentions towards you, you'll walk away in two seconds and move onto the next girl. I would never tell a women I just met I "like," her though- primarily because you don't REALLY know her. This is why so many guys get accused of rape. The only reason some girls want "plausible deniability," is because of all the manipulative men who have sex with them and then call them sluts to their friends afterwards. If you don't try to manipulate her and tell her you're interested up front, she can't be manipulative towards you. Also, what a great self esteem boost, "well ya see, she didn't actually want to fuck me, but we were watching a movie, and well its just kind of polite at that point.…

Yes and you don't need to be an "expert," to do it as some are claiming. "Listen, I think you're attractive." "Let's get together next week." If you can maintain eye contact with a women and say those two things, you'll be further ahead than 99% of guys out there. This is a little known technique called HONEST…

Call her out on her bullshit. She goes to a bar all dressed up and sexy to get an ego boost from guys who are trying to flatter her, and then complains about how it's creepy. Give me a break.

First off, that blog is awesome. Bookmarked. MODE ONE BABY, DO IT. Hardest thing you'll ever do (during the day anyways, it's easy and fun at bars). Seriously. Find a girl you think is attractive, and cut the bullshit: "Hi, I think you're attractive. Let's get together sometime next week." Eye contact. Force a rejection or acceptance (if rejected, thank her for not wasting your time and leave her alone). No gaming or tricks.

1.) Some it's true, some it isn't. I think guys who read this stuff are really no different than guys who don't, beyond just being interested in social dynamics and improving areas of their life where they don't/haven't naturally encountered success. 2.) Depends on whoever you ask. 3.) Yes. 4.) Yes. I'm more assertive than I used to be, less likely to apologize or flatter another persons ego unnecessarily. 5.) Idk. Its funny how guys never seem to treat fat or ugly chicks like they are a sister. I really have no problem with this if this is the very rare case where a guy "doesn't want anything," from an attractive girl (meaning if she asked to have casual sex/a relationship with you, you'd say no). If you're going to do this, please don't be one of these idiot guys at bars who passively aggressively "protect," girls they're friends with from guys hitting on them. Its getting upvoted because there's a bunch of guys on reddit who are pissed off at women over something. I strongly disagree with is the idea that men are direct with what they want (I think he says men's mentality is "grab and fuck"). Opinion openers are bullshit and using them makes guys miss out on more ass than it gets them. On a very basic level, I don't give a shit what some 19-25 year old girls opinion is about anything really. When I think about college in hindsight, it was rare for me to have a "great" conversation with a girl and a "great" hookup at the same time. It was either, a conversation with at best a number at the end (which means nothing in college) or a relatively fast hookup (the faster you get in, the fur…

If she rejects you, there probably wasn't much you could have said to change her mind. I think it's easy to get in the mindset that if I follow every step perfectly, I can bed any women I want. This just isn't possible or remotely true (despite what some may claim). There's nothing at stake except your time. Don't waste it on a women who isn't interested in the first place. An outright rejection is always way more valuable than a 30 minute conversation that ends with "it was nice meeting you".

•However, when approached by men in a bar whom they regard as "shy" or "not purely there to pick up girls" it has led to many fruitful relationships and even some marriages. I'd be careful here. For a women at a bar, what she considers shy and what most guys consider shy are completely different concepts. They probably mean "understated" or "aloof" not the male definiton of "racked with crippling anxiety".

Only major rule I consciously try to observe is to never refer to any girl as a "whore," or a "slut" for a mutually consensual sexual encounter she has had.
