This whole everyday sexism thing needs a male equivalent, if only to show that women do not hold a monopoly on being objectified or feeling offended because of things people say.

Someone said something you don't like? Boo fucking hoo. We hear so much bullshit about womens self-esteem and "issues" without a shred of evidence to support it.

The suidice rates for boys keep rising, the college and university dropout rates for teenagers and men are rising, the pass rates and graduations are falling, but fuck all that... lets focus on the girls with their supposed self-esteem issues. You'd think these self-esteem issues would manifest themselves in ways other than "not enough women in boardrooms, and not enough women controlling compaines" ... but no, that's what it all seems to be about. Giving women even more finanical power.

Nevermind that they control 80% of consumer spending. Nevermind that men work longer hours, work the shitty jobs, and pay 72% of income tax collected in the UK. Nevermind all that; YOU HURT MY FEELINGS BY ALLOWING YOUR SENSORY PERCEPTIONS TO MANIFEST AS LANGUAGE!!!

It's an attempt at shaming male sexuality, nothing more. We all objectify each other, it is in fact necessary for society to function and to propogate the species.

Nevermind that all of the magazines and advertisments and consumer clothing brands are made by women and are aimed at women. Nevermind that it's women who call each other slut, slag, and generally act in dishonourable ways towards each other. Men are the problem, but of course. We are the source of all female ailments and we need to be punished, controlled, talked down to, and made to feel small and insignificant.

I'm pretty sure I just wouldn't give a shit.

I live in China and as a foreigner I get stared at a lot. Happens all the time. Culturally , it's just not considered particularly rude here. Maybe impolite but not the kind of thing that'll get you into a fight or anything. Most of us would probably punch somebody if they stared at us for too long.

The point of saying that though is that when you're forced to deal with it , no matter what you like or don't like , you just have to learn to deal with it. At this point I just don't care anymore.

I imagine that were I to be whistled at on a consistent basis I'd find myself uncomfortable but at the same time I'd recognize it as positive attention sooner or later such that if I weren't being whistled at I'd probably feel worse.

Now , I'm not saying that anybody should be expected to like being an unwilling focus of attention. Rather I'm saying that there are some things that we just have to learn to deal with and trying to fight them is probably going to be like emptying Lake Superior with a thimble. Sometimes it's just better to go along to get along even when you're completely justified in feeling pissed.

Anyway , I doubt many men would really give any of it any thought at all. Fuck...why ?

These guys are all super polite in response to the inappropriate questions and invariably decline when invited back to her place for a random fuck. If anything, this is something that the MRM should help popularize. While it doesn't disprove the existence of predatory, woman-hating men, it does a lot to argue against the prevalence of such in the general population.

They should do a thing where a white person goes around picking the pockets of black people and video their reactions. That'll teach them a lesson! There are more black people in prison per capita so they are obviously more prone to committing crimes. Well, maybe racist cops and judges and biased societal attitudes and racial profiling and shit, but aside from that, it's obviously because they're more inclined to crime.

I already know what you're going to say. You're going to say most black people aren't thieves and it's not right to pre-judge a group by the actions of a minority of their members, but they are still responsible for contributing to the CULTURE of crime in the black community. So if you're a black person who's offended by this suggestion, maybe you should ask yourself what YOU have done to change the culture of crime in YOUR community.

I've never done anything like this video describes to men or women and I'm hard-pressed to even recall witnessing such an event, but I'm still responsible for it happening because patriarchy.

If catcalling is wrong, which I believe it is, then it is wrong for a feminist to do it to men. So, other feminists should not support her behavior.

But, as I expected, the misandristic feminists on AMR support her and are upset that we are calling her out.

They didn't give a shit. Just like the times I've been catcalled. And just like most of the times I've seen women get catcalled.

It's only feminists and their victorian anti-sexuality mentality that thinks this shit is hurtful, dangerous or offensive.

Why would something like this offend me or hurt my feelings? Because women want to fuck me? Not saying that I should be thrilled at every advance; but it's hard to not acknowledge the flattery at all. I feel I'd have to feign offense at such things. It's much easier to just laugh it off and move on with my life. I wish feminists would do the same.

Kinda of a relevant story. I remember waiting outside of a timmies (I can't rightly remember why I was waiting but its hardly relevant) when a group of two women and a guy ask me if I know where they can get any weed (the guy was foreign, the women not.) I didn't have any on me, give any to strangers if I did, nor would I give out my dealers info like that, I gave them the directions to a pier where a couple of low brow dealers operate. They didn't like that idea and one of the girls asked what I like to do for fun, being single I saw an opportunity. I don't exactly know how the conversation lead there but eventual one girl told she gives her blow jobs for free. Immediately taken aback by this I in not so many words asked if I could test this claim. She did not find this vary charming (nor neither I her) and more or less walked away. Me being the glutton for punishment I am immediately began conversing with the other lady present, but before I got three sentences in the other girl whispered into her ear something about me being a creep. I told her that if she was going to make a claim you got to back it up and that you can't treat sex as either a game or finical transaction. Again, not in so many words. Also bitch.

(side note; me being inquired as to ones access to prohibited narcotics is not exactly uncommon, though not necessarily regular.)
