The sentiment of this man's assailants is what Johns Hopkins University has been contributing to global culture. This man's attackers were defending a cultural practice that would be waning now if not eliminated if not for Western circumcision activists' work exaggerating evidence about health benefits in amputating foreskin.

The history of genital cutting (/r/intactivists/wiki) is an enlightening and incredible story of an activist takeover of medicine. Circumcision activism needs to be confronted as socially harmful instead of continuing to be accepted as medicine because it tells circumcised American men what they want to hear.
