The "Peter Pan" stereotype is to try and shame men into marrying.

I am not doing that.

I don't want to work 70 hours a week for the benefit of someone who can take the kids and half of everything I worked for at any moment she decides she's "not being fulfilled"

That's just a terrible deal. No amount of calling me a "loser" is going to change the fact that that is a terrible deal.

Guess this confirms what I have personally observed. Women making little and who are honestly not great catches aside from that who have a massively higher standard for their mate. Oh I work at hardees but I expect someone who makes six figures to date me.

The "Peter Pan" crap is just another shaming technique. God forbid men actually give a crap about themselves and be realistic about misandry, a double standards, a one-sided family law system. Not to mention men don't have all these quotas, special programs, and special grants and scholarships set up for them.

Hell, you could be a huge screw up as a female and still wind up being a professional. Crap out a kid to some random guy when you're young and then the government (and child support) takes care of you. Get cash on the side and simply don't report it (e.g. from a guy). You can just be a brain dead party girl. Then, when you're ready, go to college on some special single-mom, low income program.

Ta-da! You were a total screw up your whole life but now you're a nurse or psychologist (or whatever you went to school for). It's almost like you can't lose.

In regard to the amount of people not earning anything, I've never had any work done on my house that wasn't cash in hand, including a fru fru pair of women hired to pick out the furniture. Doola - cash in hand etc etc.

This is honestly the first I've heard anything about this, and frankly I'm completely confused. What on earth do they mean by "peter pan" stereotype? I tried reading the linked Fox article but it just came across as horribly confused and nonsensical.

I'm unmarried. That is probably going to be the course of this ship for the remainder of the voyage. I'd prefer it otherwise, but... finding a woman who lives in concrete reality, who wants a significant other and not some bullshit fantasy, and who isn't going to direct the relationship primarily around what she wants and only what she wants... well. Good luck with that.

I wouldn't consider myself a manchild. I have a job and a not too shabby career. I've been on my own since I was a teenager. My average work week is 60 hrs. I often work weeks at a time with no days off. I break my balls at work and so do the vast majority of my coworkers and colleagues (I don't think it's a coincidence that they are all male. Some gay, some straight. ). There are a lot of things that could improve about my career, but overall... not bad. I can dig it.

When I'm not working, I do what I fucking want to do. I work too goddamned hard to be denied agency with my free time. If I want to spend the day playing video games or watching movies, I do it. If I want to spend the day as a home "office day" working on new leads... I do that. It's my fucking life and the days are numbered. Nobody is coming along with an armload of free stuff just to get my attention. Nobody is going to save me. I have me.

I'm not refusing to grow up. I'm refusing to give up. Certainly not for the empty promise of some pussy dangled like a carrot to blackmail me into "behaving". I look at my friends who are married, and that's what I see. Dudes who got lured in with empty insinuated promises and then found themselves yoked to her every demand while their own desires take a back seat. Fuck that. Never.

Also, wasn't being able to goof around, never grow up, and still not be criticized for that on that male privilege list that was floating around earlier?
