Apparently it is a lone mod who made the choice, and the community doesn't support the movement. I don't think r/feminism is the spawn of SATAN, but this isn't a widely accepted view from what I saw.

I'll sum it up:

r/feminism likes to have open discussions. It feels that locking yourself up in an opinion circlejerk will only give you a warped view of the world, and the biggest part of feminism is convincing others. It also isn't too fond of the whole "Only women have problems" attitude, although does strongly believe women have it worse.

r/SRS does not like to have open discussions. It feels it's better to have a safe spot where feminists can talk about problems without having to be constantly questioned by outsiders, and topics never get derailed. It has a distinct "Only women have problems" attitude.

Because of this, r/feminism and r/SRS want each other dead!

Feminism pays lip service to equality. The conversation with feminists always go like this;

Male: Men have problems in society

Feminist: But women have worse problems (thus male problems are marginalised)

I don't see any difference between the philosophy of /r/srs and /r/feminism. They both endorse the "patriarchy" - the conspiracy theory of anti-male hate. They both have a negative view of men which is inherent. They both spread lies about men.

I would be extremely disheartened if a bigoted subreddit that doesn't encourage open discussion such as /r/feminism linked to us.
