If the herbivore, MGTOW and 'peter pan' men are so 'non-threatening' then why is everyone threatened by them?

A society that privileges female protection and views men's roles as protectors of women will always have an uneasy tension between seeing men as heads of households and trying to protect the women they have wardship over.

What's played out before us is the true nature of such a system. Women's protection from harm was always the highest good and when men's social role as 'leader' was placed in direct competition with women's emotional 'well-being'(I want to be a strong, independent woman!), men's role was sacrificed.

You know what the worst part about these articles are? I agree with them and they really touch on things for me- they uncover things I haven't been able to articulate properly until I read them.

But I can't share these articles with my friends or anything, because they address a systematic thought process but don't really do much to address hard evidence, and as such, is regarded as anecdotal and ramblings of a bitter person.

This may be anecdotal, but having both witnessed it firsthand and experiencing it in my own home, I would like to put forth a few observations and say a few words I have not seen in the manosphere.

I believe I am seeing a systematic tearing down of the family unit - by which I mean that feminism has convinced many women that they do not need a man in the home and therefore neither do the children. I have not seen feminism speak about children in any meaningful way except as leverage/weapons in cases of divorce; not to the childrens needs or the needs of a society whose very stability depends on each new generation.

A boy is being raised in a home without his biological father. His mother is a strong, independent woman - works, runs the household - everything. He is still human. He learns by watching and emulating the adults in his life, with one difference - he has no stable man in his home on a daily basis to emulate. If his mother has a stable, long term SO, or even a new husband, it is not his father. Add to this that the boy 1. may be the longest standing male relationship the mother has had, and 2. he is hers, almost like a possession; her man.

The mother does not allow any meaningful setting of limits on "her man" and raises him on her feelings, not the stern fathering a boy often needs - setting limits, following through on punishments (grounding, no internet), he can do no wrong, and lives a fairly easy life, his father not there to slap an F bomb out of his mouth when needed.

Let me say here that I do not advocate violence at all, especially when it is directed towards children. After a ten year relationship, to hear an 18 yr. old tell my wife " get me a fucking pepsi, bitch" when she leaves for the store, it is obvious that being coddled by your mother, and having her break traditional family structure by 1. allowing such behaviour and 2. not letting the so called "man of the house" correct this behaviour in a meaningful way has created a man-child who has no understanding of limits or consequences. This is one aspect of the next generation to go into the world and shape society. My wife has several friends who are single or their SO is not the father of the children - they have also decided their children did not need their fathers. Many of these boys are in thier 20's now, still living at home with mom doing their dishes and laundry, providing and cooking meals, the boys never having had jobs, and no father pushing them to go to school or find work, much like 3 of the 4 boys my wife has.

I am just wondering how all of this will effect society as a whole, and what will feminism do with the situation they seem to have wanted so badly.

Who knew that telling a man he does everything wrong would make him apprehensive about doing the things you want, or rather expect, him to do? While it probably isn't great for society I think overall it's good for men. Men are figuring out that they really don't have to go about doing all those unwritten, expected things that make life easier for women and children. They can focus on themselves, what they want to do for themselves, do what they enjoy and say to hell with putting everyone else's needs first. Women in general, especially the ones without kids, have been living like this for the past 30 or 40 years, it's about time men joined in on enjoying life instead of just being a slave to society with no reward.

I have no trouble being decisive or taking charge for myself or for causes I care about. I just feel no need to do it for a "strong and independent" woman.
