Southern Poverty Law Center says that Thomas James Ball's self-immolation was notable. Is now the time to recreate the wikipedia page for him that was deleted because he was non-notable?

I'm pretty new to reddit, and new to Mens Rights in general, although I do identify strongly with the Father's Rights movement.

A little over a year ago Thomas James Ball set himself on fire to protest many things, what the justice system did to him in particular. I may not agree with Ball's behavior while he was alive, or his act of suicide, but at the time there was a wikipedia page made for him, and that was eventually deleted wikipedia deletion discussion for Thomas James Ball in part because a) he is not notable, and b) no reliable sources (outside fathers rights activists) had written about him.

In the discussion to another mensrights post, I was taken to the talk page on the Good Men Project which took me to the SPLC article above.

I can't help but note that the SPLC is exactly the kind of source that the article needed last year to survive the deletion debate. In fact, in the Good Men Project talk page, there is even discussion of what a good source the SPLC is. And even better, the article comes out about 1 year after Ball's death, showing that his death is still timely. Plus, the title of the SPLC article is: Leader’s Suicide Brings Attention to Men’s Rights Movement.

So the SPLC gives us:

a reliable source
calls Ball a leader
describes the impact of his death in bringing attention to hate groups
shows the issue is still timely.

I think it would be a nice piece of jujitsu to recreate the Thomas James Ball page using the SPLC article as one of the main supports for it.

i wouldn't. SPLC is a terrible source to use, as their feminazi bias basically coats everything they do.

What would stop the feminist wikipedia editors from turning the page into a feminist piece that portrays Thomas Ball as the crazy violent mysogynist were-leader of the equally hateful mrm? If we're doing this because his sacrifice needs to be recognised, that's fine, but let's not fool ourselves, we won't be able to use wikipedia against them.
