Geek feminism is ruining magic the gathering. The cards routinely depict graphic murder and torture. However the idiot feminists made a huge uproar over a card with a man standing over a woman choking her. Apparently this depicted rape (he was actually threatening her to remove a curse she put on him). They complained despite the fact there is a card of her hurting him apparently more painfully and with more sexual overtones in my opinion.

Yes

I find feminist are often threatened by "beautiful" women, they often push acceptance of larger sized women whilst putting down skinnier women for being they way the want to live.

These people aren't feminists. It gets into a "no true Scotsman" sort of thing, but when you're saying that someone is bringing shame on a conference by dressing a certain way, you're a 1950s moralist, not a feminist.

There's nothing wrong with being proud of your body. However, there is a time and a place for showing some skin.

Perhaps these people felt that this venue was not the right time nor place. Of course they have no right to dictate what you wear, but one should consider the event and what the standard dress code is. If you still want to defy that, be ready for some sideways glances.

Women are put down for every little thing. We're never pretty enough, or skinny enough, or showing too much skin, or too little. Toughen up a little bit!
