"Feminists tell us what to say and we print it."

That would be a better title because this isn't exactly a hot "issue" except for feminists who have been burned by this. Frankly that display of willingness to be subservient to even ridiculously minor feminist desires is a lot more interesting as an example of current feminist power than the sinking ships thing.

As for the so-called research as I understand it's like doing research on unicorns and then concluding they are a "myth" because you "only" found ten thousand of them.

Well, the Titanic was an isolated incident, to be fair. It was under captain's orders that the women and children were saved first, and men who disobeyed that were under threat of being shot by officers.

Now, this does not mean that the overall concept of male disposability is non-existent. It just means that most people follow an "every man/woman for themselves" code of conduct in these kinds of situations. Men are more likely to survive natural disasters in general, because of this.

From an evolutionary point of view, it makes sense. If a man dies before he's able to breed, his genes are out of the pool.

Their sample size is bad and they should feel bad. 16 Ships is hardly a good sample of anything.

Let's look at just the results too, and not account for who got off the ship versus who made it back. /s

Men happen to be less subject to hypothermia and are stronger swimmers along the with the encumbering fashion of the day for women. So by simply looking at how many men survived versus women instead of actually looking who got on the boats versus who survived, they didn't address the original claim at all.

Really? In the most recent trauma in Colorado, 3 out of the 12 victims were men giving their lives from women.
