As a women I ALREADY can't go out by myself at night. I can't smile or make eye contact with others while walking down the street without worrying that it will lead to men approaching me. I can't put my drink down at a party, I can't wear a short skirt, I can't nod off on the subway, I can't even be NICE to a guy without the thought of "don't make him think you're leading him on, he might think you 'owe' him later"

Sigh. How many times do we need to hear this argument? How many of you actually have met these girls? All they're doing is buying into fear-mongering.

Guess what? Hundreds of millions of people will get up today, go to work, come home, go out drinking, and go home having not been inappropriate with members of the same or opposite sex. But the ultra tiny number of those who do? Front page of the newspaper for 3 days straight. Where's our story? "Man is a useful member of society" - too boring. Stop engaging with false fear.

It's women like her that scare me. Because of this internet trolling she's now going to dedicate her life to eradicating rape and will inevitably end up prosecuting cases she should objectively not pursue because her emotions got the best of her.

Yup one rapist in jail is worth destroying the lives of many innocent men. Likely someone like her will do more harm than almost any rapist.

This makes me sick. I honestly think that it's fairly likely she will put a bunch of wrongly accused "rapists" in jail throughout her career. These people scare me.

Women who are addicted to fear and victimhood find more excuses to wallow in fear and victimhood. Don't worry, these girls are just the female version of "beta males" that are overrepresented on the internet, except they find more sympathy because they are female.

While it was posted in bestof as a "woman pride" type of deal (not that i really disagree), I wanted to post it here to get your guy's thoughts about the part I quoted in the thread title.

To me it seems more like a side-effect of this "rape culture" that people love to parrot and how apparently treating every man in your vicinity as a potential rapist is acceptable. Last I checked, rape was only a few x more common than murder (at least in the US)... am I completely wrong here or are people being unreasonable?
