i think it's comparable but very different because of the outcomes for the (white) dad vs the black driver. the dad most likely will be allowed to explain himself and walk away (maybe after a few hours) with the police calling it a misunderstanding

on the other hand the black driver is more likely to be arrested, roughed around, facing high bails etc

In my experience as a SAHD it's not that severe. I've never been outright confronted taking my 2 year old daughter out but I have been given dirty looks at playgrounds or parks from time to time. My wife gets worse looks when breastfeeding our son. Brief conversations with moms are usually filled with praise for me taking on such a role.

No, I don't think so. Whilst I'm sure there are certainly some men who are accused of terrible things whilst around children, it's still a relatively rare thing. No-one ever posts about how they were walking to the shop with their kid and nothing happened.
